[DanielPipes] Nor is the Ibrahim case unusual. I have compiled long lists of other potential instances of jihadi violence (here, here, and here) in which the Establishment has colluded to sweep the Islamic dimension under the rug, treating the perpetrators as common criminals whose biographies, motives, and connections are of no interest and therefore remain unknown.
This silence about possible jihad has the major consequence of lulling the American public (and its counterparts elsewhere in the West) into believing jihadi violence is far rarer than is the case. If the body politic understood the full extent of jihad in America, the alarm would be much greater; the percentage of those calling terrorism a critical issue would rise much higher than the current 75 percent. That, in turn, might push the Establishment finally to get serious about confronting jihad.

...What it's going to take, sadly, will be a WWIII-casualty-level attack that also takes out the people who insist on hiding this. Then and only then will we see a change, because the survivors will be in no mood for mercy or understanding.

Mike, even then, unless the attack TRULY catastrophic - casualties in the millions - people will quickly forget and forgive, just as they did after 9/11.

I think even after a nuked city (explosive or Dirty) the establishment might well try to hide, or misdirect (see Benghazi) what is responsible. Remember, within hours of 9/11 the media was full of the question: What have we done? And they still refuse to believe that Islam was a component.

A city will have to disappear before anyone admits it is ongoing here.
Of course, the media discourse will all be about "why do they hate us?" and maybe we should try to understand what we have done to them.
All we have ever done to them is to be of some other ethnic or religious affiliation. It is solely the fact that we are not Muslim. Nothing more nothing less.
The media does not and will not understand that we are the target for our lack of faith in Islam.
AND why does the media and the liberals feel the need to run cover for Islam? Why do they criticize Christianity at the drop of a hat but seem concerned we don't ruffle any feathers among Moslems?

Because they're cowards, Bill.
They know Christians won't behead them, but you-know-who will.

[Jpost] An IAEA report shows that Iran was lying about its military nuclear program, but the deal continues.
THE US administration is concerned about the possibility of a new confrontation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) latest report on Iran's nuclear shenanigans. "We hope it won't happen," a senior US official tells The Jerusalem Report, "but if it does, it will be a completely different ball game. The administration will not sit idly by this time and it will be vindictive."
The terminally oblivious will be shocked when it happens again.

These people don't play fair. O will use every dirty trick in the book to sanction Israel. We are no longer the ally of a fellow democratic country. The world knows he has no gravitas. He and his minions walk step over the cliff and drag us along. This is not the end and it is not even the beginning of the end. Seemed to sum up my thoughts for things to come.
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
