[SUDANTRIBUNE] Jubilant celebrations erupted in Wad Madani, capital of al-Jazirah State, on Sunday, following reports of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) withdrawing from the city, a haven for hundreds of thousands of war-displaced individuals.
Violent festivities had ensued between the army and the RSF since last Friday, after the RSF abruptly deployed their forces on the outskirts of Wad Madani, establishing a base in the town of Abu Haraz, approximately 15 kilometres northeast of the city.
Citizens poured into the streets of Wad Madani, their voices echoing with the joyous chants of women, the honking of horns, and the celebratory gunfire of army personnel, who proclaimed, "The army has triumphed!"
Amidst this outpouring of relief and exhilaration, the movement of displaced persons at the Central Market transportation hub subsided significantly, a stark contrast to the overwhelming crowds that had gathered there since last Friday. The situation worsened on Saturday and Sunday as residents from the eastern bank of the Blue Nile, forced to evacuate their homes, desperately sought refuge in the city by crossing the Hantoub Bridge.
On Sunday, Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... ese Air Force fighter jets launched a series of Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s against RSF positions and bases east of Wad Madani. The skies of Wad Madani were abuzz with the presence of multiple aircraft unleashing missiles towards RSF sites on the eastern bank of the Blue Nile.
The Sudanese military’s official spokesperson, Nabil Abdallah, issued a statement stressing that the army successfully repulsed the RSF attack on Wed Madani. He added the army and other security agencies would remain vigilant until the eradication of "any remaining rebel or dissident elements".

Wad Madani or Madani is the capital of the Al Jazirah state in east-central Sudan. Wad Madani lies on the west bank of the Blue Nile…
Population: 345,290 (2008).
The fact that the RSF could threaten Wad Madani and the Blue Nile must have sent a shiver of fear down every Arabs back. (Genealogists have made a fortune in the Sudan falsifying ties of some families with overwhelming African ethnicity to the Prophet.)

My mediation effort would look like 50 inbound tomahawks. Make sure that the Iranian advisors are hanging with the Houthis at the time of delivery of the mediation offer.

Nothing on FoxSnews or CNN yet. I'd expect that CNN would be running with this non stop and FoxSnews would have some of it's military experts on banging the war drums.

The next phase will be having our ships escort the commercial ships until we discover that they have deployed Iranian mines with Iranian drones. USN - you can sacrifice our lives as long as the MidRats are high quality.

The lack of mainstream coverage makes me think something has happened.

The US could wipe out the Houti threat but that would result in lots of civilian casualties. Given the Biden Admin's idiotic remonstrations to Israel this would look bad.
Also, having yet another live conflict begun under Biden would be an electoral liability, although at this point it would be like a papercut when you have cancer.

I don't see any sort of array above the con superstructure. The only US destroyer like that is Zumwalt. That isn't a Zumwalt.
Look us Saudi destroyers as well, didn't see a match. It has warship lines, but I don't see any whiskers or fangs.

Maybe not - from TW's link - Operator Uni-Tankers said in a statement the crew had brought under control a small fire after the vessel was struck on its port side.
Dat wudn't no 'small fire' in the X-witter post.

This thread is the other reason why Rantburg has been reported from time to time as seen in certain intelligence analysis quarters. And we do it at no cost to the budgets of the groups involved. :-)
More on this from yesterday. [HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The first batch of fresh foodstuffs arrived in "Israel" from the United Arab Emirates in the first trial of a new land bridge that is to be used instead of the Red Sea due to the Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i blockade on the latter, the Israeli Walla! news website reported on Saturday.
The shipment of foodstuff was transported from the UAE "through the new land bridge [used] as an alternative to the Red Sea," media reports said. The freight was transported from the UAE through Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... then Jordan and then "Israel".
Israeli reports said the initial trial was a success, with 10 trucks making it from the UAE to occupied Paleostine for the benefit of the Israeli occupation.
The trucks had to cross a distance of some 2,000 km (1,242 miles) over two days and a few hours.
Israeli media in December said an agreement was signed between the authorities of the ports of Dubai, the UAE, and Haifa, occupied Paleostine, regarding the establishment of a land bridge between the two ports in a bid to avert the "Yemeni threat to shut down maritime passages."

A railroad car hauling 100's of illegals, could also bring in arms, terrorists, RPG's, EOD, dirty bomb dispersal device parts, Chemical and Bio weapons.
Either way, the LSD's know we are entering the 2024 campaign season. The LSD's know they need to tone it down and need to appear to be stemming the flow of Illegals. Which is one of the top 5 Voters Piss-offs with the Obama ran Biden Admin.

Unless they got super enriched material, its going to be subject to half life decay. Now the Karens will be out of their ever loving minds (which is normal for them). However, Hiroshima looks a heck of a lot better than Detroit today.
The IDF reveals footage obtained from the Gaza Strip showing senior Hamas commander Muhammed Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, in a car driving through the major tunnel revealed earlier today by the military. pic.twitter.com/PPr0jOSKSp
Courtesy of Skidmark, the Daily Mail’s take on the story, with the usual photos and video, and a map of the IDF’s current knowledge of Gaza’s tunnel system:
Israel has revealed what it says is the biggest tunnel its troops have ever discovered, as its army works to expose and destroy Hamas terrorists' sprawling underground city known as 'the Gaza Metro'.
Thought to stretch some 300 miles beneath the embattled enclave, Israeli soldiers have painstakingly sought to locate every entrance to every passageway in the 'spider's web' of tunnels and make them unusable.
The network was instrumental to Hamas in organising the October 7 atrocities, which saw its fighters storm across the Israeli border and murder 1,200 people, and has been used as a hiding place for terrorists and their weapons.
Israel's Defence Forces spokesperson has now given journalists a tour of the extensive tunnel, which spokesperson Daniel Hagari said is wide enough to fit a car through and spans well over 2.5 miles (4km).
He said the tunnel had been built in order to carry out a terror attack, with its end just 400 metres (1,310ft) before the Erez Crossing - the barrier Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups smashed through to launch their bloody attack on Israel more than 70 days ago.

Syrian air defenses have responded to another Israeli aggression targeting the countryside of the country’s capital Damascus. shooting down some of the regime’s missiles.
The late Sunday attack came as the Zionist regime is intensifying attacks on Syria after the beginning of its devastating genocidal war on the besieged Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip.
"At approximately 22:05 pm today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the Damascus countryside," Syria’s official news agency SANA quoted a military source as saying in a statement.
The military source added that Syrian air defense forces intercepted the Israeli missiles and shot down a number of them.
"The Israeli aggression led to injury of two soldiers and some material losses," the statement concluded.
The new Israeli act of aggression came a week after a similar strike on areas near Damascus, which only caused limited material losses.
It needn’t be a lot of material damage so long as the right things and people are damaged or destroyed.

Lebanese Hezbollah has acknowledged the deaths of at least 3 more of its fighters over the past 24 hours as the result of ongoing clashes with the Israeli military in southern Lebanon.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Lebanese Resistance®, "Hezbollah," carried out on Sunday five military operations against the positions and concentrations of Israeli occupation forces.
Meanwhile, ...back at the abandoned silver mine, the water was up to Jack's neck and still rising. And then he smelled the smoke... the Zionist enemy forces renewed their targeting of a number of towns and villages in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... The Lebanese Hezbollah announced in its statements Sunday that it had targeted a Zionist military force in the vicinity of the Hanita site with appropriate weapons, achieving confirmed hits.
According to a statement by Hezbollah, a military barracks had been targeted at the Birkat Risha site, with Zionist soldiers inside with appropriate weapons.
It also announced that positions of Zionist occupation soldiers in eastern Sa`sa, Horsh Adathar, and Jal al-Alam had been hit.
The statement pointed out that these operations come in support of the steadfast Paleostinian people in the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip and their brave resistance.
In turn, Israeli media announced today that an anti-tank missile was launched from Lebanon towards the northern occupied territories, specifically at a target near the al-Manara settlement.
According to Lebanese media sources, an Israeli artillery bombardment targeted the outskirts of the towns of Labouneh, Kafr Kila, and Blida, in conjunction with an air raid on the outskirts of the town of Mays al-Jabal in the eastern sector, and another raid targeted Jabal al-Bat in the vicinity of the town of Aitaroun.
