A white police officer will not face charges for fatally shooting an unarmed black teenager in a case that set off violent protests and racial unrest throughout the nation, an attorney close to the case said Monday night.
A St. Louis County grand jury declined to indict officer Darren Wilson, 28, for firing six shots in an August confrontation that killed 18-year-old Michael Brown, said Benjamin Crump, an attorney for the family. The decision had been long awaited and followed rioting that resembled war-zone news footage in this predominantly black suburb of St. Louis.
"The jury was not inclined to indict on any charges,'' Crump said after being informed of the decision by authorities. Prosecutors scheduled an news conference to announce the decision.

Holder's goons will be indicting him shortly, I'm sure.

The guy grabbed merchandise and strong armed the proprietor. He was stopped for owning the street by walking down the middle of it. I have a feeling the evidence was overwhelming that he tried to own the cop and the cops hardware (pistol).

Champ wasted no time in using the Grand Jury announcement as a media opportunity to condemn racist America. We could have expected no less from him.
[Bloomberg] Evidence before the Missouri grand jury reviewing the Ferguson police shooting won't be released unless approved by a judge, a court spokesman said after local prosecutors pledged to do so if no indictment is forthcoming. The evidence fails to support the narrative, so we'll just keep it sealed for 75 years or so.
Paul Fox, director of judicial administration for St. Louis County, denied a press report that a state judge had pre-approved the release of grand jury evidence in the event no charges are brought in the August shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old, by police officer Darren Wilson. Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.
[THEATLANTIC] One month after quelling its deadly Ebola outbreak, Nigeria stands poised to make another public-health triumph--the near-eradication of polio.
Unlike, for example, Pakistain...
Since 2012, when the World Health Organization declared the crippling infectious disease a 'global-health emergency,' the West African country (the last center of polio on the continent) has overhauled its strategies for combating the scourge. Now, through rigorous vaccination campaigns, Nigeria is on the verge of eliminating the virus and making Africa polio-free, the CDC reported Thursday.
From January to August of this year, Nigeria only reported six cases of polio--a significant drop from the 49 cases it had during that same period in 2013. And when compared with the 122 polio cases from all of 2012, the recent report reveals the rigor of the nation's vaccination efforts. For a four-day period every six to eight weeks, health officials from Nigeria's national polio-eradication program go door-to-door and drop oral immunizations into the mouths of some 10 to 20 million children under the age of five. The campaign especially targets children living in 11 high-risk states located mostly in the northern part of the country.

Tunisia's incumbent President Moncef Marzouki is neck and neck with Beji Caid Essebsi in Sunday's presidential election and a runoff is now expected, Marzouki's campaign manager said.
"At the worst we are even but at best we're between two and four per cent ahead," Marzouki's campaign manager Adnene Mancer told reporters after polling stations closed on Sunday.
"Our chances are good as we go into a runoff," he said, after the rival camp announced that Essebsi had come top in the North African nation's first free presidential polls.

The helicopter was shot down on November 11 and fell inside the demilitarized zone separating the two sides.

[AnNahar] U.S. troops will remain in Poland and the Baltic states through 2015 "to deter Russian aggression," the top U.S. commander for Europe said on Sunday.
"There are going to be U.S. army forces here in Lithuania as well as Estonia and Latvia and Poland for as long as it's required to deter Russian aggression," said Lt. General Ben Hodges, commander of U.S. Army Europe.
"We have planned rotations out through next year. Units are designated that will continue to do this," he told news hounds in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
The United States sent about 600 troops in April to the ex-Soviet Baltic states and former Warsaw Pact member Poland in response to tension with Russia over the war in Ukraine.
European NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the cut of the American pants... allies have also deployed hundreds of troops for exercises in recent months. The alliance has also boosted its airforce presence in the region.
Hodges said NATO should guard its unity at a time when Russia is "trying to intimidate" it's neighbors with military drills and frequent violation of their airspace.
"The discipline, unity of the nations is really very important at this point, so that a small incident doesn't lead to something that didn't have to happen," the general said.
NATO has accused Moscow of sending troops to fight alongside separatists in eastern Ukraine. Moscow denies involvement in the fighting, although it openly gives the rebels political backing and non-lethal supplies.

The higher issue or question is what will GERMANY'S ROLE/UTILITY BE - "STATUS QUO" [neutral], OR REARMED-N-NUKULAAR???
Ditto as per "Neo-Ottoman", Islamist + ISIS pressured TURKEY.
Lest we fergit, CHRISTIAN GERMANY is roughly in Front of TURKEY, RUSSIA is to Turkey's North + Rear.
NO ONE WANTS A WEAK GERMANY FACING THE HARD BOYZ + NUCLEAR? JIHAD ONCE THE LATTER BEGIN PENETRATING + STRIKING INTO EUROPE PROPER.
And the Hard Boyz will come because the US-West are more interested in entrenching + expanding the National, Global Welfare-Nanny Socialist Model, + Anti-US OWG Global Federal Unions, NOT NATIONAL OR REGIONAL SECURITY.
THE MORE THE HARD BOYZ ATTACK-N-SUCCEED, THE BETTER FOR HARDLINE, ANTI-US/WESTERN OWG-NWO + WORLD SOCIALISM.

It won't be just Ferguson. I have a friend who is a cop in the Tenderloin neighborhood of SF. All police are being held over for mandatory overtime. Hopefully some of the New Black Panthers will knock the hell out of some white punk anarchists just out of general principles. I guess Buffalo NY is safe, though.

Ok rantburgers what is the over/under on number killed through next Sunday? How many arrests through next Sunday?
Here's a good cause for celebration: Influential American lifestyle magazine Wine Spectator has selected the Recanati Winery's Cabernet Sauvignon wine from the Upper Galilee series as one of the top 100 wines of 2014.
[Huffpoo] WASHINGTON -- Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) on Sunday criticized what he described as lopsided coverage of the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, calling on the media to stop focusing on racially disproportionate police forces and pay more attention to black people killing one another.
"I find it very disappointing that you're not discussing the fact that 93 percent of blacks in America are killed by other blacks. We're talking about the exception here," Giuliani said on NBC's "Meet The Press," referring to the Aug. 9 killing of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, in Ferguson by Darren Wilson, a white police officer. Brown's death, which sparked extended and widely covered protests, has become a symbol for racial tensions in the United States. Giulianni has reached that vurk in die pad [fork in the road]. One path leads to civilization, one path leads to lawless, tribal anarchy, and de-civilization.
