"Even as we focus on deporting criminals, the fact is, millions of immigrants - in every state, of every race and nationality - will still live here illegally. And let's be honest - tracking down, rounding up, and deporting millions of people isn't realistic. Anyone who suggests otherwise isn't being straight with you. It's also not who we are as Americans," the president said.
He reiterated that point Thursday, saying, "to those members of Congress who question my authority to make our immigration system work better, or question the wisdom of me acting where Congress has failed, I have one answer: Pass a bill." So why didn't you do that with a Democratic Congress in 2009? Maybe the Trunks can do better in 2015. Or maybe Congress just wanted to leave the current statues alone and enforce them for a change?

Ummm
Why would members of Congress who do not support The Decree, pass a bill to support The Decree?

Obola cannot be trusted on anything he says or does.
The Pubs need to do what they can to limit and repair his damage when they take over. At the same time they need to move an agenda forward despite Obola's almost certain veto on whatever comes across his desk. Maybe, enough sensible Donks will elect to vote with the Pubs. They have the purse strings. The Pubs can give him a lot of grief if they have the will.

Riiiight... if it isn't exactly what you want you'll veto it anyway.
Although at this point there may be a 2/3 majority to override it....
Either way, we can see what Obama will be doing the next two years. Throwing temper tantrums and throwing poo and doing what he wants anyway and to hell with the legality of it.
I have a feeling if he keeps this up, even enough donks might be wanting to throw the impeachment lever in 13 months or so.

He does not care one bit about this issue or the people here illegally or those trying to come to America. He is trying to focus the fight with congress and the Senate to further divide our nation. In that his speech was and will be very successful.

I wonder if Champ is familiar with the Lincoln quote, "A house divided against itself cannot stand"?
Or the Alinsky equivalent.

If you plan to enter the U.S. illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up," Mr. Obama said.
President Obama claims he must direct authorities to disregard current immigration enforcement in order to enhance the courts ability to deport more banditos. Non Sequitur much?

Because it worked so well when an Amnesty passed during Reagan. Actually you just legalize a batch so that another catch can show up and we always have roughly teh same number of illegals.
Republicans should really hammer the message of how this screws over legal immigrants. Become the party of legal immigration anytime a pub appears on tv. Compare it to cutting in line which is generally unfair in just about everyones book.

Typical - the US immigration system is broken, and has been for ages. Its far too easy to come here illegally and not easy enough to come here legally.
Tyson needs chicken pluckers and pays both parties to keep them well stocked in disposable illegal aliens.

That was the whole point of the founders writing the Constitution. Never consolidate power and authority that you would want your worst enemy to have. They knew of Rome. They saw the swing in who's in charge between Marius and Sulla at the end of the Roman Republic. So be it.
