[Breitbart] John Ray III, the newly appointed CEO of FTX who previously oversaw the restructuring of the infamous energy company Enron, says that he has never before seen "such a complete failure" of corporate controls as he has with FTX.
CNBC reports that FTX Chief Executive Officer John Ray III was blunt in a declaration to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, stating that "in his 40 years of legal and restructuring experience," he had never seen "such a complete failure of corporate controls and such a complete absence of trustworthy financial information as occurred here."
After the Enron implosion, Ray served as the company’s CEO. He says that he now plans to work with regulators to investigate FTX founder and democrat super donor Sam Bankman-Fried. Ray’s filing says that FTX and Alameda Research’s hastily created balance sheets were "unaudited and produced while the Debtors [FTX] were controlled by Mr. Bankman-Fried."

[Townhall] The Biden administration, the guys that caused the debacle in Afghanistan ...the gang of subgeniuses trying to pass themselves off as the adults in charge of the series of calamities characteristic of the administration of a mentally challenged geriatric case... will begin deporting Cubans who crossed into the United States illegally back to their country, two U.S. immigration officials told NBC.
Reportedly, the U.S. will send the immigrants colonists back in droves on airplanes in the coming weeks. Currently, ICE is locating Cubans with orders of deportation. Cuba previously refused to accept its own citizens back who illegally entered the U.S. Rooters reported Friday that Cuba finally agreed to accept the deportation flights:
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has about a dozen Cubans in jug who failed an initial screening for asylum at the border, the officials said, requesting anonymity to discuss the diplomatic situation. The U.S. agency is waiting until it has enough Cuban deportees to fill a plane before sending one to Havana, they said.
The U.S. Coast Guard has turned around thousands of Cuban migrants colonists caught at sea and sent them back to their home country, Rooters added.
According to NBC, the last deportation flights from the U.S. to Cuba left on Dec. 29 2020. More than 248,000 Cubans were reportedly apprehended crossing the U.S.-Mexico border over the past year, compared to 43,677 the year before.
NBC reported earlier this year that the number of Cubans crossing the U.S.-Mexico border outpaced those arriving from Central America. Senior officials from DHS told the outlet that they were "largely unable" to deport them because their government refused to take them back.
Since Oct. 1, Coast Guard intercepted over 1,300 Cubans trying to board "rickety" boats, the Miami Herald reported.
This week, Gov. Greg Abbott ... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too... (R-TX) sent 28 migrants colonists on a bus to Philadelphia, a "sanctuary city," to share the burden of the open border crisis. Reportedly, some of the migrants colonists came from Cuba, as well as Colombia and Dominican Republic. Many of the migrants colonists said that Philadelphia was not their final destination and were headed for New Jersey and Ohio.
[FoxNews] Oregon police rush to create gun permit system as December deadline approaches.
One of the nation's strictest gun control measures takes effect next month in Oregon. Hunters and other gun groups fear it will force all firearm sales to pause.
Gun rights advocates fear all firearm sales will freeze in Oregon in three weeks when one of the nation's strictest gun control measures takes effect.
Measure 114, which voters appear to have been passed by a 1.5% margin, bans ammunition magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds and mandates the creation of a permit-to-purchase system that includes hands-on firearm training.
"We're looking at the end of firearm sales in Oregon until this system is put into place," Amy Patrick, policy director for the Oregon Hunters Association, told Fox News.
Oregon State Police announced this week that Measure 114 will take effect Dec. 8.
Fox News asked OSP in an email whether firearm purchases will halt on that date if a permit processing system is not yet in place. A spokesperson for the agency said only that "OSP is working diligently to ensure that the new Permit to Purchase program will be operational by December 8, 2022."
Six out of Oregon's 36 counties voted in favor of the measure. At least five sheriffs have said they will not enforce part or all of the law when it takes effect, but it's not yet clear how that would work with a permitting system that will likely be implemented at the state level.
Numerous outdoor and sportsmen groups have expressed opposition to Measure 114, including the national Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and National Shooting Sports Foundation.
"It’s a feel-good measure that only adds new unfunded burdens on local police, eliminates opportunities for recreational activities and hurts conservation funding while not making any tangible impact on the real problem," Keely Hopkins, the manager of Pacific states & firearm policy for Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, wrote in a statement.
Patrick said gun stores are preparing for the worst-case scenario, telling customers they may have to stop selling firearms next month.
"That also means that Oregonians cannot go out of state to purchase firearms either," Patrick said. "We're basically being held hostage by 114 because firearms dealers have to respect the laws of a person's home state."
Federal law forbids gun sales for buyers from outside states in most instances
OSP has seen an "extreme" increase in requests for background checks since before the midterm elections, according to a Facebook post by the agency. The spike now appears even more dramatic than during the coronavirus pandemic, when Oregon and other states saw record-breaking gun sales.
Currently, Oregonians only need to pass a background check to buy a gun. But the new measure requires that prospective gun buyers complete "in-person demonstration of the applicant’s ability to lock, load, unload, fire and store a firearm before an instructor certified by a law enforcement agency" — a much stricter process than what is currently required to obtain a concealed handgun license in Oregon.
The language of the magazine capacity limit may also impact bird hunters and skeet and trap shooters, leading to opposition from the Oregon National Rifle Association, the Democratic Party of Oregon Gun Owners Caucus and the Oregon Firearms Federation which argue that several shotgun models are capable of holding more than 10 rounds.
"That's going to make a big impact on our shot gunners and whether or not they can utilize the firearms that they have or potentially purchase a firearm that would be appropriate for bird hunting," Patrick said.
She said OHA knows of several state and national groups preparing to file litigation.
"We are hopeful that there will be an injunction put in place with some of these lawsuits," she said. "That's the best case scenario right now."

Given, Federal law is clear that a FFL dealer cannot sell a firearm to an out-of-State individual unless the sale complies with the laws in both states.
Wouldn't Oregon now without an active law prohibiting this, still allow for adjoining state purchases?
Besides (eg. Oregon Firearm Private Sales) is just 1 of many alternatives to FFL recorded
purchases people are using besides private sales at gun shows.
Given, hardly anyone still believes Firearm purchase records are
actually deleted ## days afterwards by the ATF and etc... with
only the FFL dealer retaining a sales copy.

Proof of that can be found in ATF's continued attempts (until 10 years ago) at locating records dating back to the 1980's. Ask me how I know.

Can anyone point to one single crime solved by the ATFs firearms records shenanigans? I mean solved crime, that is to say "proved whodunit after the investigation otherwise hit a wall," not tracing a gun used in a crime back to some previous owner or seller not involved in that crime.

There's no point at all in debating details of how an Oregon state system could work. The entire point was to vote for an incomplete system not ready to be implemented, and most likely NEVER ready to implement.
See? It's simple. The 'people' voted for a system and they got it, only it may take just a little while longer to work out the details. Longer, longer than what? You'll see, but I wouldn't hang from a tree by your ears waiting.
It is another socialist shift and double clutch, like mail in ballots and trannies on demand.

[Guardian] China has contested claims it was operating unauthorized "police stations" on US soil, calling the sites volunteer-run, after the FBI director said he was "very concerned" about unauthorized stations that have been linked to Beijing’s influence operations.
Safeguard Defenders, a Europe-based human rights organization, published a report in September revealing the presence of dozens of Chinese police "service stations" in large cities around the world, including New York.
The FBI director, Christopher Wray, told a Senate hearing on Thursday that it was "outrageous" that the Chinese government would attempt to set up a police presence in the United States, saying it "violates sovereignty and circumvents standard judicial and law enforcement cooperation processes".
[AlAhram] Egypt will celebrate on Saturday the beginning of construction of the second nuclear reactor at the El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) west of Alexandria.
Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker will attend the celebration, giving the final approval for laying down the first concrete foundation works for the reactor, according to Al-Ahram newspaper.
The four-reactor NPP will be built by the Russian state-owned integrated company Rosatom, under contracts which entered into force in December 2017.
El-Dabaa is Egypt's first-ever nuclear power plant and is designed to generate nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in collaboration with Rosatom.
Al-Ahram said on Friday that senior officials from both Egypt and Russia will be celebrating the event in El-Dabaa on Saturday.
The El-Dabaa plant is situated 135 km southwest of the Mediterranean city of Alexandria and 320 km northwest of the capital Cairo.
The planned four reactors for the plant are expected to operate at a full capacity of 4,800 MW – with each reactor generating 1,200 MW – by 2030.
Egypt and Russia laid the concrete foundations for the first reactor in July, in coordination with Rosatom.
"We are currently doing our best to ensure that the construction work on the four-reactor plant is completed according to schedule," Egypt's Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker said during the celebration on 20 July.
On Friday, Al-Ahram cited Amgad El-Wakeel, the chair of Egypt's Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA), as saying that the actual construction of El-Dabaa's second nuclear reactor comes after it gets permission from the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority on 31 October, thus paving the way for laying the first concrete foundations on Saturday (19 November).
"Rosatom will build a state-of-the art plant with the Russian VVER-1200 innovative GEN+3 design, which is the most common technology used today in generating nuclear power around the world," said El-Wakil.
"The Dabaa plant will meet the highest safety standards in compliance with the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) safety regulations and, as a result, the plant will be able to withstand earthquakes, airplane crashes, explosions, and even tsunamis."
“The supervision of the IAEA was a necessary step before we began the actual construction of the first reactor on the ground,” he said.
According to various reports, the NPP will cost around $30 billion. The project is being financed through a $25 billion loan extended by Russia to Egypt – with the remaining 15 percent to be covered by the Egyptian treasury. Egypt will start repayment of the Russian loan in 2029, at an interest rate of three percent annually.
“Egypt will pay 20-25 percent of the cost of the first and second reactors, and 30-35 percent of the cost of the third and fourth,” said El-Wakil.

Health officials and local sources confirmed that residents and family members of the Abu Raya family were attending a party celebrating their sons homecoming from overseas and getting a PhD.
21 people, including 14 children, five women and two men, were killed in the fire that broke out in the apartment building.
Gaza’s interior ministry said the fire was caused by large amounts of gasoline improperly stored, fuelling the blaze that quickly engulfed the building.
There were no survivors among those present in the apartment, the ministry said.
Footage and pictures circulating on social media show the whole residential building caught fire in, sending huge flames and smoke from the site.
So far, the Ministry of Health has not released the official corpse count the fire and its causes.

As more and more comes out, many disbelievers may be converted to the truth. The missus and I have talked with several lefties in the neighborhood about some of these things and their usual response is one or more of the following: "That's not true or that didn't happen. Or that's fake news." Maybe more of them will come out of their trances with these hearings. Maybe enough of them will come about to bring the changes TW mentioned above.
