Sir Jimmy Savile ... Who???
... has been robbed by a woman in Leeds - but described it as a "marvellous" experience.
The veteran star, aged 81, said the thief made off with his John Lennon-style glasses as he was leaving a function at the Queens Hotel. Sir Jimmy reported it to police, but compared the experience to being chased by fans in the 1960s. "The fact I've not been mugged for over 50 years, I thought it was marvellous, it was just like old times," he said. It could have been better only if she had pushed me to the ground, so I could break my hip.
The former DJ and TV presenter, who lives in Roundhay, said he was walking down the hotel's corridor at about midnight on Wednesday when the woman pounced.
"She was walking alongside me and the next thing she reaches up - I thought she was going to give me an embrace, but she grabbed my glasses and took off down the corridor," he said. "I thought, I've been mugged. How wonderful."
Sir Jimmy said that the unexpected theft hadn't left him unable to see as he has a spare pair of glasses. He added: "I've told the police that if the girl turns up and I get my glasses back, I will give her a box of chocolates for giving me a 1950s thrill in 2007." Barf.
And I thought Restless Leg Syndrome was rough. Be sure to read the bit in the last story on the link by Doctor Hillary Jones about Permanent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS). I wonder if her treatment is covered by the National Health Service.
PRETTY Sarah Carmen is a 200-a-day orgasm girl who gets good, good, GOOD vibrations from almost anything.
The rumble of a train on the tracks, the purr of a hairdryer, the rhythmic drone of a photo-copier are all enough to make her go oh oh oh, ahhhhh.
She had FIVE orgasms during our 40-minute interview. But I can't take the creditit was just talking about her sex life that set her off.
Sarah, 24, suffers from Permanent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS), which increases blood flow to the sex organs.
She said: "Sometimes I have so much sex to try to calm myself down I get bored of it. And men I sleep with don't seem to make as much effort because I climax so easily."
As she chatted, Sarah became increasingly flustered.
"Sorry, you'll have to excuse me for a minute. I'll be with you in a sec," she mumbled before letting out a long sigh.
Sarah, from London, developed PSAS after being prescribed anti-depressants at 19.
She believes her condition was brought on by the pills.
She said: "Within a few weeks I just began to get more and more aroused more and more of the time and I just kept having endless orgasms.
"It started off in bed where sex sessions would last for hours and my boyfriend would be stunned at how many times I would orgasm.
"Then it would happen after sex. I'd be thinking about what we'd done in bed and I'd start feeling a bit flushed, then I'd become aroused and climax.
"In six months I was having 150 orgasms a dayand it has been as many as 200."
She and her boyfriend split and new partners struggle to keep up with her sex demands. "Often, I'll want to wear myself out by having as many orgasms as I can so they stop and I can get some peace," she said.
Sarah is a beautician and working in salons filled with whirring hairdryers and skincare gadgets can cause problems.
"If I start coughing and run to the loo, the girls know to fetch the client a magazine or a cup of tea," she said, adding, "Sometimes I'd like to just have a normal life."

Each day is either a pleasure or hell. Seems like it would be tiring. Of course I am a guy on the late side of 60. Whatever is the opposite of PSAS is probably what I have.
What is a "kafuffle"? It's not in the dictionary. Is it just another proofreading error? Or is it a further example of your acquiescence to the Israelization of American culture by attempting to pass obscure Yiddish words into the mainstream of the American language?
It's bad enough that we are steered toward war with the entire Arab world and beyond because our "friend" Israel won't relinquish its occupation of Palestine and make peace with its neighbors. Still we are suckered into giving Israel, the 14th richest country on earth, billions and billions of our tax dollars in foreign aid every year, and we gave it carte blanche to rampage through Lebanon destroying everything in its path and inflicting collective punishment on its people, an aggression internationally condemned as a war crime, yet condoned by the Bush administration and sheepishly accepted by the American people.
How can we hold our heads high and proud when our own county illegally attacks and invades an Arab country that had done nothing to us, killing hundreds of thousands of civilians and wrecking their entire infrastructure, clearly Bush war crimes, all for the benefit of Israel because Saddam was assisting the families of Palestinian martyrs in their struggle against the illegal Israeli occupation of their land? We shouldn't be proud to be associated with Israel, and I don't appreciate their insidious adulteration of our language.

(The word "kafuffle" appeared in a Sunday Monitor Viewpoints column called "A tip for Clinton: Change the subject" by Hillary Nelson on Nov. 11. Webster's New Millennium Dictionary of English defines it as "disorder" or "commotion." It can also be spelled curfuffle, kafuffle and gefuffle. The etymology is not Yiddish but rather Gaelic. Ed.)
Must be those Learned Elders of Brittany at it again.

Actually, Schmuck, Israel is about #28 in GNP per capita and well below Kuwait, another country we've spent a lot of money to defend. So what's all the kafuffle about? Just sit down and aich te bheal.
Ya hope this is bullshit, but I doubt it... SYDNEY (AFP) - Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday. Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.
One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.
"Gimme a break," said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualising children called Kids Free 2B Kids."We are talking about little kids who do not understand that "ho, ho, ho" has any other connotation and nor should they," she told the Telegraph. "Leave Santa alone."
A local spokesman for the US-based Westaff recruitment firm said it was "misleading" to say the company had banned Santa's traditional greeting and it was being left up to the discretion of the individual Santa himself. Misleading...but true? I see the email server at Westaff blowing up sometime today...

In other news, Officials in Boise fear that there will be a move to change their state's name as it may give people the wrong impression as to a native's occupation ("I da ho")
A strange blue cloud seen floating and darting around customers, freezing for 30 minutes and then speeding from an Ohio gas station, remains unexplained even though it was caught on security cams.
The ghostly image was seen moving near and over cars at a Marathon gas station located near the corner of State Road and Pleasant Valley in Parma on Sunday. An image showed it flipping and then sitting in the same location for 30 minutes. It then flies off the screen at a high rate of speed. Security video then shows it coming back and resting on a car window before floating away.
Several people said they believe the image is a ghost or an angel. "It was an angel," a witness said. "There was an angel here."
The owner of the gas station said he was happy the image went away and has not come back. "I actually watched it for 30 minutes and then actually I watched it move and that is when I got freaked out," said owner Amed Abudaaria.
Groups of people have traveled to the gas station after word spread of the unexplained event.

Sigh, I saw the video. Took me all of 30 seconds to ID it as a bug crawling on the camera lens. That close it was out of focus and looked like a blue blur, but you can see by it's shape and the way it moves, it's a bug. Idiots.

Women are being given controversial "virginity repair" operations on the NHS, it emerged last night. Taxpayers funded 24 hymen replacement operations between 2005 and 2006, official figures revealed.
All this while NHS is running out of money, closing hospitals and laying off doctors in training. Then again, NHS pays for aromatherapy ...
And increasing numbers of women are paying up to £4,000 in private clinics for the procedure apparently under pressure from future spouses or in-laws who believe they should be virgins on their wedding night.
Doctors said most patients are immigrants or British of ethnic origin.
Do tell ...
The trend has been condemned by critics as a sign of social regression driven by Islamic fundamentalists. Some countries have made hymen reconstruction operations illegal.
Dr Magdy Hend, consultant gynaecologist at the Regency Clinic, Harley Street, London, who started hymen reconstruction more than 18 years ago in the Middle East and the Gulf, said: "In some cultures they like to see that the women will bleed on the wedding night. If the wife or bride is not a virgin, it is a big shame on the family."
So you're going to facilitate this nonsense and help bring Sharia to Britain. Clever, very clever ...
Dr Hend said he was surprised by the "very good response" to the service and said there is "big competition on the market".
Most of his clients, he told More4 News, are in their teens or early 20s. "They might be British of ethnic background, they might be immigrants, or some people come from abroad, Asia, Middle East, the Gulf, and they don't want to have it done back home," he added. Dr Hend said demand is increasing, particularly from UK residents.
The operation can involve suturing of a tear in the hymen, such as might be caused by sexual assault, to help healing. But it can also be conducted as a purely cosmetic procedure. A membrane is constructed, sometimes including a capsule of an artificial blood-like substance. This operation is intended to be performed within a few days before an intended marriage.
Tory health spokesman Mike Penning expressed concern.
Why yes, one might well express 'concern'. I personally would express 'outrage' but then I'm not a politican ...
He said: "If there is any cultural or other pressure being put on the women from any source to have this done, that would be a very retrograde step.
"If a woman has been violated or raped and lost her virginity, clearly everything possible should be done to assist her.
"But what nobody would understand is if taxpayers' money is being used to fund operations of this kind for cultural or cosmetic reasons."
Labour MP Ann Cryer said she was "absolutely horrified" to learn of the phenomenon. She added: "We should be trying to protect girls from this. It is a form of abuse of women and it may be that the woman who is asking for the operation to be done does not recognise the abuse that is taking place against her, but in later life she certainly will.
"We have to also ask whether our National Health Service should be providing this sort of facility. I don't think it should be available on the NHS."
Good for you. I'm glad to see one woman politican who sees through this nonsense.
The Department of Health said "certain cosmetic procedures" are available on the NHS "to secure physical or psychological health".
Virginity repair operations have become a source of controversy in France, where gynaecologists report a growing number of requests from women. The procedure is supposed to be funded by the state only if the patient claims she has been raped. But some doctors agree to carry it out for cultural or cosmetic reasons.
Isabelle Levy, an author who studied the issue for her book Religion in the Hospital, said young Muslim girls are "modern and they have adventures like other Europeans - which never happened in the past.
"But on the other hand, fundamentalism is spreading and these girls are getting sent back to their countries of origin to marry. And they will be rejected if it is found out that they are not virgins."
Or if they rode horseback, or did certain gymnastics, or any of the dozens of activities other than sexual intercourse that can split a hymen. Pfeh.
To locals in the Russian village of Nikolskoye they were simply a group of eccentric Christian believers. And when 29 members of the sect abruptly vanished last month, villagers assumed they had packed up and gone.
In fact, the religious doomsday cult had taken up residence in a remote underground cave. They had decided to barricade themselves inside until May 2008 - the date when their spiritual leader told them the world was going to end.
Today, authorities were attempting to talk to cult members by bellowing through a ventilation shaft cut into the cave's roof. So far, however, the members - who include 25 adults and four children, one of them a 16-month-old baby - have refused to emerge.
"They have covered the entrance and refuse to come out and are threatening to blow themselves up. They threaten to detonate a gas tank," an official in the local prosecutor's office said. "They say they are fine. They tell us to go away," another added.
The sect members are hiding out in a snow-covered hillside in the Penza region of central Russia, about 60 miles from the town of Penza.
The chief prosecutor of the region's Bekovsky district, Alvetina Volchkova, said they moved in at the end of October.
"I talked to them last Thursday," she told the Guardian today. "The temperature outside was freezing. They told me they were fine and that the temperature inside the cave was plus 17C. They've lit candles and paraffin lamps. I asked if I could come in and have a look around but they wouldn't let me in.
"They don't have a name as such. They don't regard themselves as a sect but refer to themselves as 'the chosen ones'. They also say that they are representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church."
The police had sealed off the area and were trying to negotiate, she added.
"No-one wants to take on the responsibility of provoking them ... because our information is that there are children among them,' a police spokeswoman told Reuters.
The cave is two miles from the modest tin-roofed prayer hall where sect members used to gather to sing songs. Elders began secretly preparing the cave last month - bringing in supplies of gas and kerosene, as well as half a tonne of honey and a lot of jam, locals said.
The sect's leader is Pyotr Kuznetsov - a divorced 43-year-old architect from Belarus. Kutnetsov travelled across Belarus and Russia, spreading his message of apocalyptic doom, before settling in the village 18 months ago, locals said.
Several dozen believers followed him. They moved into abandoned houses, refusing to use electricity. "They are simple Christians," a local priest, Father Georgy, told NTV television. "They say: 'The church is doing a bad job, the end of the world is coming soon and we are all saving ourselves.'"
After decades of state suppression, the Russian Orthodox Church is now enjoying a revival. But many Russians and ex-Soviet nationals have also fallen under the sway of local and foreign sects. Some even refuse passports and taxpayers' numbers, claiming the figures conceal "satanic" meanings.
However, the tradition of religious dissent in Russia and defiance of secular authority goes back much further. In the seventeenth century, one group, the Old Believers, founded their own church in protest at reforms to orthodox rituals. To escape persecution, many settled in extremely lonely communities.
The cave in Penza was discovered after the daughter of one of the missing cult members complained to the local prosecutor, Russian media said. Police then arrested Kuznetsov - who led investigators to the entrance. When they tried to approach together with another priest gunshots were fired in the air, NTV reported.
"Kuznetsov is their spiritual leader. He told them that the world would end in May and that the only way for them to save themselves was to go underground," Pavel Shishkin, a reporter with Komsomolskaya Pravda in Penza told the Guardian today. "They believed him. They've gone to sit it out."
Izvestiya newspaper yesterday reported that Kuznetsov suffered from schizophrenia and that in the last few months he had been sleeping in a coffin.
"He said his followers should not be disturbed, that they are the chosen ones, and that no one else is allowed to get in the cave," a law enforcement officer told the paper.
Police and ambulances have sealed off the approach to the cave, which is scarcely visible from the outside and hidden by a sloping ravine. Relatives of cult members are expected to arrive at the scene shortly from Belarus and Ukraine to try and persuade their loved ones to give up. This may be tricky, however, as cult members have apparently taken a vow of silence.
Asked whether Russian special forces would storm the cave with their usual finesse, Volchkova said: "For the moment the police are making sure that the situation is OK and under control." "Right now, the special forces guys are drunk, we'll have to wait".
Prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation under article 235 of Russia's criminal code, against illegal religious societies, she added.

May 2008? Interesting choice of days. That is about the same time that the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is scheduled to come into operation. It's designed to create the Higgs boson (God Particle), but an unforseen consequence from the whole thing might lead to a miniature black hole being created, which will in turn destroy the Earth.
#5
AFAICR, this isn't unheard-of in Russia. I believe there were sects in the 1800s that would gather in the local church and torch the place around them.

More Chinese children are becoming overweight and prone to diet-related diseases like diabetes due to unhealthy lifestyles and high stress linked to their studies, state media reported on Thursday, citing a top health official.
More than one in five children were classified as obese and over 2 percent suffered type 2 diabetes, the China Daily said, citing a survey of 17,311 children aged eight to 18 by the Beijing Children's hospital.
Type 1 diabetes, a genetic condition, is the most common form of diabetes in children, whereas Type 2 diabetes is linked with poor diet and a lack of exercise and is far more prevalent in adults.
"The number of children with type 2 diabetes has risen sharply in recent years," Kong said.
"The figures reflect the trend that the number of children suffering from type 2 diabetes might soon exceed the number of those with type 1 diabetes," the paper quoted Kong Lingzhi, deputy director of the Disease Prevention and Control Bureau under the Ministry of Health, as saying.
There are about 20 million people suffering from diabetes in China, according to the Ministry of Health Web site (www.moh.gov.cn).
"The number of children with diabetes has accounted for 5 percent of all patients, and it is increasing by 10 percent every year," Xinhua news agency quoted Li Qiang, an endocrine secretion professor, as saying.
The rise in diabetes and obesity rates in China comes hand in hand with an economic boom that has brought more wealth for families to spend on food and less need to toil in fields for a living. More toil. Less wealth.
The World Health Organization and Chinese Health Ministry warned last year that a surge in chronic diseases could kill up to 80 million people in China alone in the next decade. Surge? Or more accurate reporting?

They're only children, so they get spoiled. And the #1 thing that little spoiled kids like to do is eat at KFC. I see them every time I go in there, grabbing and shoving people out of the way.
PS that child is not fat, he is suffering from a genetic disorder. It's in bad taste.
#2
Looks fat to me, even if it is caused by a genetic disorder. And yes, it is in bad taste, regardless. But then, I, and a lot of us here, can be rather tasteless.
#5
By the way, either those quaint brown people die in droves because of hunger (must be our fault, too, our lifestyle and all), and it's hand-wringing time, or they die in droves because they over-eat and become fat lil porkers (ditto), and it's hand-wringing times.
Could the msm/Enlightned Elites make up their mind, please?
#6
Do chinese too have a genetic predisposition to fatten, as was reported for indians in a very similar article about the exact same issue a while back?
#8
Moose, it's Darwinism. The closer a group of people are to vagaries of food supplies, the greater the genetic pool to efficiently process it. Those who lack the genetic ability to squeeze every last bit of nutrition out of what food may be available weren't around long enough to sustain a couple generations into the 'lean times'. The Chinese are just now hitting the point were availability of food is not a survival issue. Same for the Native Americans. Regardless of what they say, it hasn't matter whether its been a Donk or a Trunk in control of the White House or Congress, real poverty has continued to exist on several large reservations. Now some of that is free choice wanting to stay with the 'old ways'. However, the government not wanting to get caught with charges of malnutrition and deprivation has made sure 'food' is not an issue. So after many generations, they too have sustained and consistent access to food with the efficient processors doing what evolution expected of them. Pack it away for lean times.

Zi Beijia, a Chinese reporter who fabricated a TV news saying that Beijing dumpling makers used cardboard as a filling, was Sunday sentenced to one year behind bars with a fine of 1,000 yuan for the crime of "infringing commodity reputation".
Zi hid the truth to the Beijing Television Station, enabling his program to be aired in a slot known as "Transparency" on July 8 at the Live Channel of the station. The program caused baneful social effects and severely ruined the reputation of the relevant commodities, according to the court ruling. Because China doesn't have a reputation for shoddy products.
Zi pledged guilty at the court and said he was muddled-head at that moment, which cheated Beijing Television Station and the audience. Actually, it was a great hoax, as many people, including myself, were not surprised at all. I could easily see a dumpling vendor substituting ingredients. Here in my town, if you buy a fish at a restaurant, you make a mark on it or something, to make sure the same fish comes back to your table. There have been verified incidents where they substitute a cheaper fish after you pay for the expensive one. He really touched a nerve with his story, otherwise he would have gotten away with an otherwise commonplace journalistic invention. The government's solution to the problem is to denounce the messenger, not start an intensive food safety campaign. Likewise this summer when all the tainted products were found in America, the Chinese government denied everything and came up with excuses to return imported products, thus assuaging damaged national pride.
Zi made a sincere apology to the audience, Beijing Television Station and the people concerned. He advised journalistic staff to learn lessons from him and follow obey journalistic ethics. The commies are really big on the self-criticism and confession.

The government's solution to the problem is to denounce the messenger, not start an intensive food safety campaign.
Or maybe the "fake but true" line didn't sale as well in China? 'Free Press' has gotten away from the Zenger principle - fact/turth is a defense. We've all seen what happens when the product of 'journalism' is as corrupted as any shoddy or tainted product.
John (not yet)Frum had linked in the past to Google trends country by country, where this was heavily apparent.
Despite all their protestations of piety and clean living as well as their condemnation of anything they deem to be Unislamic it seems that our friends from the Religion of Peace have a keen desire to dive right in to internet pr0n.
Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for gay sex. It's the number one language for search involving sexy. As you can see in that same graph, Iran is at 3 and Egypt is at 4, listed under regions where search on sexy was most conducted.
Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for gay man. The countries that most search for this is currently Malaysia (#1) and Indonesia (#2). For gay girl, Arabic is also the 2nd most common language
For child pr0n, Turkey is the 2nd country where this is most searched. Turkish is the #1 language used
Turkey has one of the most searches for the word pr0no. Morocco is at 5. Turkish is #1 language used to conduct the search in. Indonesia is currently #1 country that search for the word vagina.
Turkey is not an Arab country, nor are some of the other countries I listed. But they are Muslim, so I thought the findings were fascinating to say the least. All of this information is not in the least bit shocking, but its quite ironic.
Oh, those naughty, naughty boys. Covering their women while they surf porn with sweaty-eyed gusto. And here are some more fun filled facts about our sexually repressed representatives of the Religion of Peace:
Egypt is currently #1 for fat sex. Hey, I may have an opening in egypt... though, on second thought, I don't think they allow wimmen to access computers, damn.
Pakistan, Morocco, Turkey and Egypt are at the top of the list when it comes to animal sex.
For children sex, Pakistan is at #1, Egypt #2 and Iran #3. The most common languages used to conduct the search in are Arabic and Turkish
For sexy child, Pakistan is #1, followed by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey. Common languages are Persian, Arabic, and Turkish
For homo sex, Indonesia is #1, Morocco is at 6
For rape, Pakistan is at 1. Malaysia is at 3
For bird sex, Egypt is at 1. (Come ON!)
These are evidently very busy people. Between blowing people up, protesting en masse, condemning Israel and the U.S. they find the time to surf some serious pr0n on the web. And judging from the categories they appear to have searched Id say that these people have some dark issues. Note the number of child sex, gay sex, and violent sex related sites that are searched.

AN Indonesian man known as "Tree Man" - because of incredibly long warts on his hands and feet that resemble tree roots - is still baffling many experts about the cause of his condition.
After cutting his knee as a teenager, 35-year-old Dede now has warty roots coming out of his arms and legs in what was believed to be a life-threatening condition.
The UKs Telegraph newspaper reported that Dedes wife left him and he was sacked from his job because of the condition.
But the newspaper reported that a US expert now believes that Dede may be cured from the condition.
The University of Marylands Dr Anthony Gaspari said that the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) was the cause of the condition and that a course of synthetic Vitamin A should clear the problem up.
A Discovery Channel documentary on Dede has premiered in the UK.
It is not yet known how many people watched the feature.

Marsha Weinerman, executive director of the citys Election Commission, said the boxes were removed after a resident complained to commission workers about their implied pro-war message. Then she jumped in her Mercedes and drove away...power to the proletariat!
We contacted the law department, and it was determined that the best course of action would be to remove the boxes, Weinerman said. Oh, my...one complaint? Guess we'd better cave.
In a column that appears in this weeks Chronicle, Troop leader Jamisean Patterson said the commission twice granted the scouts permission to set up the boxes at the polling stations. We have never seen anything like this decision in Cambridge before, Patterson wrote. The city is changing for the worse if decisions like this are allowed to be made. Guess he hasn't been around Cambridge that long...
Weinerman cited a law that prohibits political messages near any polling station in an election. But state law prohibits political messages pertaining to a particular election within 150 feet of any polling station, according to a spokesperson for Secretary of State William Galvins office. There is no law stopping someone from promoting an unrelated political message within 150 feet of any polling place. Put some in requesting donations for illegal immigrants and see how fast they get pulled out...
While most of the boxes were set up in the lobbies or front entrances of the polling stations, some were placed in the same room as voting booths, according to election workers. Weinerman said the scouts were never given permission to set up the boxes inside the 150-foot boundary. This was not supporting the war or any politician or political view, Patterson wrote. Obviously, this is dangerous precedent and these children must be reeducated. Notify the Cambridge School Committee that we have a People's Emergency!
Election officials kept the boxes in storage until a troop leader was able to pick them up. I worked over there in the Eighties. They dedicated their Vietnam memorial on one of the Veteran's Days and a few of the guys I worked with that served over there said they were going down to check it out make sure it was meant for Americans and not the Viet Cong. I think they were kidding.
When I saw this, I thought for a minute. Let's see Boy Scouts, Soldiers, a banning of support for the troops donations. It just had to be Cambridge Mass; The Peoples Republic of Moonbats and Moonbat Central.
If the Boy Scouts were collecting money to buy Carbon Credits, the locals would have been falling over themselves to donate.
