As of 11:40 p.m. ET, Fox News projected the Electoral Vote count as
Trump 254
Clinton 209
with Trump wins in FL, NC, WI, IA. PA and MI still too close to call.
Fox also projected that the Democrats will gain net one seat each in the House and Senate, which would leave Republican majorities intact. We'll see what today brings, but here's hoping Blossom Unains5562's image called it.

Congrats to the Donald. He has shown that he understands a lot more about politics than many of the seasoned pols and professionals re the Presidential race this election season. He's also shown that money isn't everything in the presidential race. I wonder if Comey's last-minute retraction actually hurt Hillary.

First 3 things I want to see from President Trump:
1. AG Trey Gowdy - mission: clean out that place and the FBI
2. Secretary of State Bolton - mission: clean that place out
3. Supreme Court Justice Ted Cruz - mission: bring the court back to constitutionalism

Dreaming....
They can't afford to lose Tea Partier Trey Gowdy's vote in the House, or his sharp mind. He needs to stay where he is until at least the next election. But he'll work happily with the new attorney general, I'm sure, and enjoy the increased influence his increased seniority provides.
Ted Cruz would be very interesting on the Supreme Court, though President Trump already has a list of candidates. It might be fun to put him on the Ninth Circuit court of appeals for seasoning in the meantime -- he'd enjoy shaking up that lot while waiting his turn for a top spot. But honestly, for the same reason that Trey Gowdy needs to stay in the House for a while, Ted Cruz needs to stay in the Senate. The Republicans can't afford to lose his vote, and he needs to rebuild the trust of his party and his voters if he is to have any chance at the presidency in the future.
Rudy Guilliani for Attorney General -- he has strong opinions on the cases against Hillary Clinton, as well as crime, corruption, and the War on Terror. He'll be a happy warrior as he cleans out the Justice Department stables.
Another one I'd like to see return to public service is former Virginia attorney general Ken Cucinnelli. He did a wonderful job organizing the group of states attorneys general to fight Obamacare through the courts.
Joe Arpaio heading ICE -- yes!!
And John Bolton -- it would be great fun to send Mr. Bolton back to the UN after their vacation with whatsername.
Secretary of State is a bit of a pickle. The clean up needed there is going to be another labour of Hercules -- the rot long precedes Mrs. Clinton, and is going to need a prosecutor's zeal as well as a diplomat's touch to handle that side of things.
#29
Put Bolton back at the UN. That'd sure be fun.
Put Newt in at DoS.
Guiliani 8 years ago would have been a great AG but he looks like he's getting kinda old. Maybe Christi, especially if he has a hot line to Guiliani so he can ask for help and advice.

Whatis your reasoning, Pappy?
He has a good working relationship with the Russians, especially FM Lavrov. Notice that they haven't directly disparaged him.
From my sources, he has a good rep among career State personnel, unlike his predecessor. He's also expressed frustration with the Obama inner-circle.
Even if it's only short term, his staying on might buy some international breathing room for Mr. Trump and his administration to articulate a coherent foreign policy (especially if there's aspects the others won't like.)

One thing I'd like to bury now that Clinton's career is dead is that phrase "Cuck". F you that use it. You are more about revenge than winning, get over yourself, we can use a lot of those people. Its associated with racists and Sturmers and internet dimwits. It made Trump a lot harder to defend.

[FRANCE24] The drug trafficking trial of two nephews of Venezuela's first lady got under way in Manhattan Tuesday, with the leftist government in Caracas saying they were essentially framed.
Efrain Antonio Campo Flores, 30, and Francisco Flores de Freitas, 31, were incarcerated Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! in Haiti in November and flown to New York by US Drug Enforcement Administration agents.
They are sons of brothers of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's wife Cilia Flores. She also served as speaker of the National Assembly from 2006 to 2011.
The men have denied charges that they plotted to smuggle 800 kilos (1,764 pounds) of cocaine into the United States.
Prosecutor Emil Bove argued that the men believed they were powerful because they are close to Maduro. Their attorneys suggested however, they were not crafty enough to be plotting or carrying out the business of which they are accused.
The accused also are facing the charges due to political motives, their defense maintains.
Besides the Haiti case, the two men are accused of taking part in meetings to plan a shipment of cocaine to the United States via Honduras.

[RT] An Australian pensioner resorted to Robin Hood-style tactics, shooting a bow and arrow at an intruder, in an effort to stop him from fleeing his home with stolen goods.
The burglar was struck in the buttocks with the medieval weapon Sunday afternoon as he tried to steal the 68-year-old homeowner’s car from the Sydney residence.
The culprit already had appropriated the man’s car keys, a large amount of cash and other property in his possession at the time of the incident.
As the robber tried to reverse the stolen car out of the garage in Wattle Grove the homeowner confronted him with a bow and arrow, causing him to crash the car into a fence, according to police, as reported by ABC.
The perpetrator then fled the car and jumped a fence towards a parked Mazda Tribute but before he reached the car he was hit in the buttocks area with the bow and arrow.
"We believe the arrow may have struck the offender in the buttocks or the lower back region," Detective Inspector Dean Johnstone said.
Police are continuing to hunt for the burglar and have inquired with local hospitals to identify anyone treated for an injury consistent with this incident.
"We're asking anyone in the medical profession ... to contact police if a person comes in with a wound [consistent] with an arrow striking them," Johnstone said.

[WDEF] KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) ‐ Two more people have received prison sentences in a scheme to defraud U.S. taxpayers by $10.8 million.
U.S. Attorney Nancy Stallard Harr’s office says 52-year-old Luis Carvajal of Loudon was sentenced to 30 month in prison for conspiring to submit false tax returns and commit money laundering. Fifty-year-old Amado Valdez-Morales of Oak Ridge received a 42-month sentence in the scheme.
Valdez-Morales, a Honduras citizen here illegally, also pleaded guilty to illegal entry by a previously deported felon. Once he’s released from prison, he’ll be subject to deportation.
A news release says the scheme included using fake ID documents to get refundable tax credits, resulting in $10.8 million stolen from taxpayers.
Carvajal faces about an $8 million fine. Valdez-Morales was fined $2.5 million.
Four others were already sentenced in the scheme.

Kirill Dmitriev, the head of Russia's sovereign wealth fund, said on Wednesday he believed Donald Trump's presidential victory would reduce geopolitical confrontations.

Dmitriev said he believed financial markets would recover quickly "just as they did after the Brexit vote."

[Reuters] Canada's main immigration website appeared to crash and New Zealand reported increased traffic to its website for residency visas from U.S. nationals in the hours before Donald Trump surged to victory in the U.S. presidential election.
Canada's main immigration website appeared to suffer repeated outages on Tuesday night as Trump took the lead in several major states and his prospects for winning the U.S. presidency turned markedly higher. In the following hours he won most of those states.
In New Zealand, immigration officials told Reuters on the eve of the vote that New Zealand Now website, which deals with residency and student visas, had received 1,593 registrations from United States citizens since Nov. 1 ‐ more than 50 percent of a typical month’s registrations in just seven days.
Visits to New Zealand Now from the United States were up almost 80 percent to 41,000 from 7 Oct to 7 November, compared with the same period last year.
Rod Drury, the chief executive of NZ-based global accounting software firm Xero, said the statistics matched up with interest his company has been seeing from prospective U.S. national employees concerned about a Trump win.
Drury said what started as a joke was becoming a reality.

AMERICAN DIGEST NEWS SERVICE
DATELINE: OTTOWA, November 9, 2016
Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau today ordered all 215 members of Canada's armed forces to the porous southern border to stem the tide of tens of millions of disgruntled members of MoveOn, Democratic Underground, IndyMedia, Daily Kos and other assorted weeping moonbats that have begin to surge towards the socialist haven to the north in search of asylum.
"We feel their pain," said the PM, speaking to two reporters at a hastily called press-conference, "but we simply can't let in any more 'sunshine' Americans. We did that during the Vietnam years and our mental health care system is still groaning under the load.
"To let in more of Les fou Americans at this point would pretty much overload the sidewalk spaces already staked out by Canada's homeless."

I hear North Korea is always looking for good people to populate their labor camps.

I've looked at some of the media outlets around the world, Pravada, BuenosAiresHerald, GuardianUK, and the foreign leadership appears supportive or confused about the new Trumpism. Just got up at 3AM and took a shower and then looked at Election results. Trump Wins. Made some coffee. Gonna take the day off.
Now lets see how he performs. Jobs, Moslems and mexicans. and the State dept. and the FBI appointments. Say bye-bye to Obama. And Clinton still has six Investigations to clear. Hollywood has to wash its shorts. Californicate voted wrong and lost. Trump will have to appoint new people. And then work with Congress....we have the Senate and the House but they are old Regime. Slow and careful and remember who your friends are. Start looking for the Future and replace people from the Past. Re=Build the Military and the Organs of Intel and the FBI. Cut the Bureaucracy . Retire a lot of people, replace them. Prepare for the next Presidency and make sure it is strong and Constitutional by packing the Supreme Court with your own. THAT will last a century in results.
Cut a deal with Putin and get out of foreign wars, Re-establish the borders and deport where necessary. Re-establish respect for Law. Cull the Media. Be ruthless with the Media. They are hardly your friends. Use ridicule and pick your targets. Make the American people laugh at the Media.
They work for themselves and not the American public. The Purpose of a Thing is always itself.
Uproot Clinton. Leave her to dry out and rot. Map her supporters in Congress, remember them.
It turns out money doesn't buy votes like it used to. On the other hand, it was nice of him to donate that much to our economy -- very Keynesian of him.

He should announce he will not press the investigation of the Clinton Foundation. Heal the country, yaknow? It's gonna dry up anyway. No play, no pay.
See what that does to the talking heads. Than announce he'll nominate Clinton for Supreme Court. Would the media laugh at that, or would their heads explode?
I'm not serious, of course, but it's intriguing, no?

...and then he was stupid enough to run for election. Got the nomination from the 'party' and lost to Carter. BTW, his competitor in the primary was to win the Presidency in 1980. Four years of delay that still has consequence, See - Iran.
#16
Nixon would have been impeached had he not been pardoned. We got Carter as a reaction to the things going on in the Nixon administration. IMO that what the Clintons have done should be looked over very carefully. We don't know the full extent of their criminality, espionage, obstruction of justice, perjury, destruction of federal records, treason and who knows what the hell else.
#17
I wonder how upset the Democrat core is to lose this one? Now the Republicans will OWN the likely financial collapse, after which the Dems will emerge with no opposition forever?
#19
Nixon would have been impeached had he not been pardoned.
He'd already resigned allowing Ford to take the office, he no longer was eligible for the immunity of office that impeachment was required to remove before any legal action (ie obstruction) could be taken.
#20
I agree, Bobby, with the don't press for Clinton indictments.
Absolutely not! No quarter, no mercy. Nail this treasonous piece of filth to the wall, shut down the Clinton's money laundering and influence peddling empire. Prosecute, prosecute, prosecute. With extreme malice.

We are either a nation of laws or we are not. Laws are not for some and not for others. There are consequences to breaking the law. Our laws and our Constitution are the contracts and agreements by which we have agreed to live as a nation.

I thought Obama sent the Queen the "Best of his speeches" at one time? If so, the Queen might consider sending them back to Obean for his legacy. Does Obama have a legacy at this point in time? I think plans for the dismantling are ongoing by Trump.
[Jpost] Donald Trump will become the 45th president of the United States and its commander-in-chief, a stunning achievement for a complete novice to governing whose campaign was written off by the nation's political class.
He defeated Hillary Clinton, the first female presidential nominee of a major party and a former first lady, senator from New York and secretary of state.
The election of Trump may be the greatest political surprise of the modern era, after the Republican nominee trailed national and state-by-state polls for over 100 consecutive days.
Who now remembers the Wikileaks email wherein Mr. Podesta laid out exactly how he wanted the polls skewed? It seems that published polls, along with masses of Soros money, no longer influence votes as once they did. Think of it as evolution in action.
The New York real estate tycoon‐ with no experience in public service‐

I was going to catch the 11 pm news before I went to bed, but fell asleep in my chair reading sometime after 10:30, woke up again about 1 am and went straight to bed, and knew nothing about it until the radio went off this morning and the news came on a few minutes later.
After a few seconds of being absolutely stunned, I leaped from my bed (instead of turning over for a few more winks as I usually do) shouting, "We did it!"

Donald Trump has won the state of Pennsylvania, the Associated Press reported, giving him a total at least 275 electoral votes ‐ and the presidency.
Earlier in the night, Trump won the Midwestern states of Wisconsin and Iowa, Fox News reported, netting the Republican 16 electoral votes and making Hillary Clinton’s path to the White House extremely narrow ‐ and increasingly unlikely.
Trump’s win in Pennsylvania marks the first time a Republican has won in the Keystone State since 1988. In Wisconsin, Trump broke a 32-year losing streak for the GOP, becoming the first Republican since Ronald Reagan to carry the state.
