The brilliant Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) misidentified the name of one of his Senate colleagues with whom Burris has been working for the better part of 22 months.
Burris misnamed Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), according to a report in the Chicago Tribune, calling the senator from his neighboring state "Ralph Feinberg" instead.
"We've had a great relationship," Burris told the Tribune, in a profile piece detailing Burris's closing days in office.
The Illnois Democrat was appointed by Gov. Rod Y'gotta pay to play! Blagojevich (D), who had allegedly sought money or favors in exchange for the appointment. The winner of the general election between Rep. Mark Kirk (R) and Democrat Alexi Giannoulias in Illinois will take Burris's seat shortly after Nov. 2.

I can relate. The first thing I think about is Ralph(ing) when it comes to Feingold.

Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi (D-Calif.) is unlikely to remain Speaker of the House even if Democrats hold onto their majority, her predecessor said Friday evening.
Former Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) said it would be difficult for Pelosi to hang onto her gavel come next January.
"I think even if the Democrats win, which I don't think they'll win, I don't think Nancy Pelosi will be speaker," Hastert said during an appearance on Fox News.

Maybe she'll get primo seats for the World Series and take a line drive off the squash...

I am hoping that, after her soon-to-be demise, her name and image are expunged from all records and it be made illegal to mention her name on pain of death (or an extended visit by former Congressman Bawney Fwank). I'm sure there's room in the commerce clause for that somewhere ....

I don't believe this for a minute. They are cowardly curs, and if they retained the majority, it would provoke a nasty fight, so they would just roll over and keep her.
However, as minority leader, if the Dems lose, it would be a whole new ball of wax.
They would blame their electoral failings on her as a person, instead of their damned stupid ideas. And this, conservatives should not let them get away with again.
The millstone has to be put squarely on their stupid ideas, enough so that in future, if anyone so much as proposes them, they will be met with groans and cat calls of "you suck!"
A well-known Hollywood producer and director has cut an ad against Sen. Barbara Call me Senator! Boxer (D-Calif.) riffing on when the senator chided an Army brigadier general last year for calling her "ma'am."
David Zucker, the director of the 1980 comedy classic "Airplane!" who has worked on myriad films including the "Naked Gun" and "Scary Movie" franchises, directed the "Call Me Senator" spot for Right Change, a 527 and 501(c)4 organization "committed to supporting policies and candidates dedicated to fiscal responsibility and a strong national security for the United States, while upholding the principles of freedom, competitiveness and entrepreneurial spirit of the American people."

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
