Posse Comitatus, Grom. Federal statute generally forbids using the American military for policing — war fighting uses different skills. Their job is from the nation’s borders outward. State national guard units, which train for national disasters and riots, can be sent in, but the real answer is to unbind the hands of the police and require the prosecutors to actually prosecute and jail those arrested.
