Many participants proposed reforms and suggested holding the Dhaka University Central Students' Union election instead of banning politics on the campus.
DU unit of Revolutionary Student Unity president Nuzia Hasin Rasha said that none of the student organizations knew whether there was anyone from the Dhaka University unit of Chhatra Shibir active on the campus.

General students at DU claimed that Shadik Kayem, the president of the DU unit of Chhatra Shibir, was an organiser in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Despite repeated attempts, central student coordinators Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam and Abdul Kader could not be reached over the telephone for comments.
In a Facebook post at about 8:00pm on Sunday, Abdul Kader, a coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, revealed that Chhatra Shibir's Dhaka University secretary Farhad was involved in drafting the nine-point demand of the protesting students during the movement.

The arrested Nurul Amin Babul, 40, has recently been expelled as member secretary of Koyra upazila BNP.

According to police, a case was filed against 14 people, including Babul, on Saturday in connection with the attacks on some businesses in Koyra Bazar on Thursday, leaving several businessmen injured.
Besides, there are allegations of extortion and grabbing fish enclosures against Babul.
On Thursday, Babul was expelled from all positions of BNP, including his primary membership, due to violations of party discipline.

Looking at the links screen counter pic, the 1st thing I thought. Hamas sure misjudged the IDF response to that terrorist operation.

How little HAMAS cared about Gazan's.
The next was the Number of Hostages freed since Oct. 7th.
Most of the hostages that were released were part of a very short-lived hostage-and-ceasefire deal. A deal which ran between Hamas and Israel from Nov 24th to Dec 1st.
Then HAMAS needed to act like it was in charge and started demanding and getting greedy. Which I feel pushed the IDF into a GAZA wide rescue mission and a military natural goal of eliminating HAMAS to keep this from happening again.
Which then exposed how deep GAZA was into supporting Anti-Israel Terrorists.
Then just where in the hell does the Gaza health ministry get it data or does it just add 40 to its count for what IDF claims?

Considering that Gaza gets money and food from the UN, it would make sense that over the years Hamas inflated Gazan population with fake names to get more resources from the UN and other donors.
Now, they can write off these fake people as killed by Israelis, and use those names to artificially add to the death toll.
Obviously this is just a guess from me. But it would make sense if they did do this.

The US State Department report states: "The U.S. government estimates the total Palestinian population at 3 million in the West Bank and 2 million in the Gaza Strip (midyear 2022)." It does not, however, indicate the source of that data. It is likely, as stated above, that the figures are overstated for reasons given above.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Hezbollah, saying that in just a few days, Israeli forces had carried out a series of attacks that the enemy could not even imagine. “If Hezbollah has not gotten the message, I promise you, they will,” he assured.
Earlier, the head of the Israeli Defense Ministry, Yoav Galant, also announced his readiness to continue military operations against Hezbollah. During a visit to the country's Air Force command post, he said: " Our actions will continue until the goal is achieved: when we safely return the residents of northern Israel to their homes."
However, Hezbollah understood the Israeli message in its own way. Several hours after the Israeli attack, an air raid siren woke up residents of Haifa, Nazareth, and Migda Hemek. At about 5 a.m. Moscow time, Hezbollah armed units fired more than 100 rockets at northern Israel.
The attack targeted military-industrial complex factories that specialize in the production of electronic communications equipment and devices. These enterprises are located in the Zovulon area, north of the city of Haifa. Hezbollah called the strike a response to the sabotage of September 17 and 18 and the massacre of children and women in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Air Force base in Ramat David was also hit. Two waves of Fajr-1 and Fajr-2 rockets were launched from Lebanese territory. The Lebanese allegedly conducted aerial reconnaissance of the area using drones back in July.
"We have never seen anything like this, not even in 2006. We all assumed that there would be a response from Hezbollah, but we didn't think it would be so strong, especially when there is the Iron Dome that is supposed to protect us," a resident of Kiryat Bialik, a suburb of Haifa, told the weekly Maariv.
In turn, the Israeli side reported that most of the air targets during this attack were intercepted by air defense systems. Only a few people received minor shrapnel wounds.
The day before, due to the ongoing rocket attacks in the northern regions of Israel, the country's authorities introduced a special situation. According to IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari, the special regime will be in effect north of Haifa. Citizens of the country will be able to continue working and studying where there is an opportunity to take refuge in shelters. Mass events are now prohibited.
Meanwhile, the number of victims of the Israeli Air Force strike on the suburb of Lebanon's capital Beirut continues to grow. Earlier, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported 45 dead. By the evening of September 22, the country's Civil Defense Authority had already reported 50 dead. The fate of another 11 people is still unknown.
On September 20, the Israelis fired four rockets at the Dahiya area. The target of the attack, according to Galei Tzahal Radio, was a bunker housing the movement's special operations commander, Ibrahim Akil. At least 15 of his comrades were killed along with him.
The U.S. State Department is urging its citizens to leave Lebanon while they can still board commercial flights due to the unpredictable nature of the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. "The U.S. Embassy may be unable to assist American citizens who choose to remain," the statement said.
Earlier, the Pentagon reported the arrival of a US Navy group led by the aircraft carrier USS Truman CVN75 in the eastern Mediterranean Sea on September 23.
Politico, citing sources in the US presidential administration, reports that American authorities fear the start of a full-scale military conflict. The latest attacks on Lebanon, American officials believe, are a prelude to the start of a military campaign.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog also declared his country's reluctance to enter into a new war. "However, Lebanon has become hostage to the terrorist organization and, at the same time, the political party Hezbollah," he said in an interview with the British television channel Sky News.
Director of the Center for Middle East and Central Asian Studies Semyon Bagdasarov believes that the current Israeli cabinet will not win the war in Gaza. Therefore, Netanyahu needs a second front to sweeten the bitterness of failures in Palestine and improve his precarious position within Israel itself.
"Netanyahu will not win in Gaza in any case. He understands this himself, so he is trying to find happiness elsewhere," the orientalist believes.
The number of trained Hezbollah fighters, according to the organization's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, is about 100,000 people. This will greatly complicate Israel's military actions in the event of a transition to a ground operation, the price for which could be prohibitively high.
Or possibly not, depending. Where did Hezbollah source their guns and bullets and cars? What about their pretty uniforms?

Then an invasion of Lebanon is predictable.

Well, in Gaza, Hamas wouldn't let them leave.
There are videos of Hamasniks threatening people, shooting car tires, ordering families back inside, etc.
Having human shields doesn't work if they leave.

It seems only fair, given that the schools in northern Israel are already closed. Lebanon might want to consider closing schools in the Dahiyeh neighbourhood of Beirut, too
[GEO.TV] The media office of Lebanon's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has instructed all heads of educational institutions in conflict-affected areas to close their schools due to the unsafe conditions caused by ongoing fighting, according to the National News Agency (NNA).
Schools must also notify students and relevant educational districts about the closures, as reported by the NNA. Additionally, the Lebanese University has announced that its branches in the southern cities of Sidon, Nabatieh, and Tyre will be closed tomorrow.
These interruptions to Lebanon's education system follow Israel's extensive strikes on the south last night, where 400 sites were targeted, according to Israel's reports.
