The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, al-Siddiq al-Kabir, has reportedly left the country along with other senior bank officials to protect their lives from potential attacks by armed factions, according to the Financial Times. In a phone interview with the newspaper, al-Kabir disclosed that Death Eaters have been threatening and intimidating bank staff, occasionally even kidnapping their children and relatives to coerce them into continuing work.
Al-Kabir also stated that the attempts by interim Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba to replace him are illegal and conflict with agreements brokered by the United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... concerning control of the central bank. This control crisis threatens to escalate instability in Libya, a major oil producer divided between factions in the east and the west, supported by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... and Russia respectively.
Earlier in the week, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya called for a suspension of unilateral decisions, the lifting of force majeure at oil fields, a cessation of escalation, and the use of force, as well as for the protection of central bank staff.
Libya has been in chaos since a NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... -backed uprising toppled longtime leader Muammar Qadaffy ...who single-handedly turned a moderately prosperous kingdom into a dictator's fantasyland and was then murdered by his indignant subjects 42 years later...> in 2011. The county has for years been split between rival administrations. Unlike the US
Libya’s economy, heavily reliant on oil, has suffered due to the ongoing conflict. The instability has led to fluctuations in oil production and prices, impacting the global oil market and Libya’s economy.
The conflict has led to a significant humanitarian crisis in Libya, with thousands of people killed, and many more displaced. Migrants and refugees using Libya as a transit point to Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... have also faced dire conditions.
The planned elections for December 2021 were delayed due to disagreements over election laws and the eligibility of certain candidates. This delay has raised concerns about the feasibility of a peaceful political transition.
Despite the ceasefire, security remains a significant concern with sporadic fighting and the presence of mercenaries and imported muscle. The unification of the military and the removal of foreign forces are crucial challenges.

Note that the article does not explain just where the security threats occur. Tripoli and the northeast 1/4 of Libya must be cleansed of gangs before the country can return to some semblance of normality.
[SAHARAREPORTERS] A man identified as Mr Felix Chuks has been killed by button men suspected to be bandidos, at Ushafa community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
SaharaReporters gathered that his wife and two children were kidnapped in the incident that happened on Thursday midnight.
A security source confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters on Friday, noting that the button men stormed the area at midnight with heavy gunfire.
"The button men stormed the area at the midnight with heavy gunfire. Security operatives are currently in the area," he said.
Efforts to solicit a response from the FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, proved unsuccessful, as she failed to answer repeated calls and neglected to respond to messages sent to her mobile phone, leaving the inquiry unresolved at the time of filing the report.

was tragically transformed into a scene of unspeakable carnage.
According to credible sources who spoke to Daily Trust, the assailants descended upon the Hausari quarters in Geidam LGA at the unholy hour of 3:44 am on Friday.
Under the cover of darkness, the bully boyz exploited the vulnerability of their victims, who were sleeping.
As reported by Daily Trust, sources revealed that the button men struck while the students were deep in sleep, rendering them defenceless against the sudden and deadly onslaught.
This callous and calculated attack has left an indelible scar on the community, claiming the precious lives of the students.
''The incident occurred at around 3:44 am when the button men invaded Faudiya School a well-known Shiite school in Geidam,'' a source said.
''They (button men) attacked the school when these youths were asleep and brought them outside and shot them dead.
''There is tension and concern in the town after this incident. People are terrified over this unfortunate incident,'' he said.
Also, a vigilante told the newspaper that three members of Shia sect were killed while one sustained injury.
''We don't know who they (button men) are but all we know is that they killed three students in the school. One person who tried to escape during the incident was injured and he has been hospitalised,'' he said.
The spokesperson for Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the incident but did not give details.

IIRC, the very name Boko Haram means something like "education is forbidden". Well, wikipedia says it means "Western education is forbidden" but then, that'd mean stuff like reading, writing and arithmetic. I guess if you wanna learn about AK-47s and how to slit an infidel's throat that's OK.

[SAHARAREPORTERS] The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the freezing of 13 different bank accounts reportedly linked to one Henry Okocha, suspected to be a terrorist.
Oh? Which particular flavour of terrorist might he be? There are so many in Nigeria, only some of which are local branches of transnational Sunni jihadi groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS.
The order followed an ex-parte application made by the Department of the State Services (DSS), through its counsel Yunus Umar.
The accounts are domiciled in seven different banks and are to remain frozen for 60 days, to enable the agency conduct forensic investigations into the alleged acts of terrorism by the suspect.
SaharaReporters reported on Sunday that a Federal High Court in Abuja had issued an order freezing the bank accounts of 32 individuals and companies allegedly linked to the #EndBadGovernance protests that took place across Nigeria between August 1 and August 10.
Justice Emeka Nwite who issued an ex-parte order freezing those accounts including cooperative society accounts, through a motion ex-parte filed by the Inspector-General of Police's counsel, Ibrahim Mohammed, also directed banks to detain account holders or anyone found transacting business on the affected accounts, pending investigation and prosecution.
In a recent ex-parte order issued by Justice Peter Lifu, the court permitted the DSS to place an embargo on the bank accounts for 60 days for investigation.
In an 8-paragraph affidavit in support of the ex-parte motion, according to Daily Post, Okocha was accused by the DSS of receiving millions of naira into the accounts and was strongly suspected of being proceeds of terrorism.
He was confirmed to have been taken into the custody of the security agency following his arrest for an investigation.
Arguing the application, DSS counsel, Mr Umar, informed Justice Lifu that the DSS needed the freezing order to prevent the suspect from using the fund for illicit activities against innocent Nigerians.
The lawyer also told the judge that the embargo on the accounts would enable the DSS to unravel the perpetrators and bring them before the court for prosecution.
The ex-parte application marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1036/2024 was brought under sections 5 and 81 of the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act 2022.
The banks where the accounts are domiciled are United Bank for Africa, Guaranty Trust Bank, Union Bank of Nigeria, First Bank of Nigeria, Providus Bank, Palmpay Limited and Resolut Limited.
Justice Lifu turned down the request to put an embargo on the accounts for 90 days but permission for 60 days.
The DSS had days ago sought and obtained an ex-parte order freezing 20 bank accounts belonging to one Aisha Abdulkarim, a woman accused of being a terrorist.
[SAHARAREPORTERS] The leader of Kandawa Community vigilante group and four members of Katsina Community Watch Corps (CWC) have been reportedly killed by button men suspected to be terrorists.
It was learnt that the incident happened along the Yan Gamji to Batsari road in Batsari LGA, Katsina State.
An X user @ DanKatsina50 made this known in a post on Friday, noting that the button menmaimed one CWC member and kidnapped three residents of Yan Gamji during the attack.
"Yesterday evening, bandidos ambushed the Katsina Community Watch Corps (CWC) along the Yan Gamji to Batsari road in Batsari LGA, Katsina State.

has accused the Nigerian police of allegedly removing Hijabs from Moslem women in detention, describing it a "grave religious abuse."
The sect was reacting to an alleged video taken within the premises of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, Abuja.
The video was said to have been shared in a WhatsApp group of the police community in the FCT which later went viral on social media showing how the police forcefully removed the Hijab of Moslem sisters, while in police detention.
The police had arrested some members of the group during the 2024 Abuja Arba’een Symbolic Trek.
IMN in another round of protest urged the police authorities to respect people’s religion and culture.
"Such an act is termed as a disregard for Islamic Values and an attack on Islam itself," a member of IMN told SaharaReporters.
"This action could be attributed to the fact that the majority of Policemen in Nigeria are not Moslems, Coupled with hate of Islam, the police forcefully removed the Hijab of many Moslems in public and subjected them to molestation.
"This act can never be tolerated in any way. Remember that on Sunday the 25th of August 2024, Policemen in Abuja opened fire on a peaceful Ashura protest. Many were arrested."
Earlier, the group in a statement by its media team said the alleged action by the police has deeply offended the Moslem community, describing the abuse of the hijab as "more painful than the shelling of live ammunition."
The statement read, "Our attention has been drawn to a one-minute, twenty-one-second video taken by a police officer within the premises of the FCT Police Command and shared it in a WhatsApp group of the police community in the FCT Abuja, and later the video went viral on social media showing how the police forcefully removed the hijab of our Moslem sisters, while in police detention. The Moslem Sisters were arrested during the 2024 Abuja Arba’een Symbolic Trek.
"Our attention has also been drawn to pictures of people arrested during the 2024 Abuja Abra’een Symbolic Trek paraded by the police on 28 August 2024 to newsmen at SARS Abbatoir. The pictures taken by the newsmen also showed our Moslem sisters without Hijab.
"Hijab is a commandment of Allah, the creator of earth and heaven. Allah (T) says in the Qur’an, "O Prophet! Say to your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that they should let down upon themselves their jalabib." (Qur’an: Surah al-Ahzab, verse 59).
"Hijab is our religion, culture, and right, and the abuse of Hijab is more painful to us than the shelling of live ammunition on us. We will not take this abuse lightly. Certainly, an abuse to Hijab is not just an abuse to the people arrested but to the Moslems and the religion of Islam."

A French destroyer operating as part of Operation Aspides rescued the Sounion’s crew of 25 Filipinos and Russians, as well as four private security personnel, and took them to nearby Djibouti.
Days later, monitors reported that several fires had broken out on the ship, apparently the result of Houthi bombs planted on it.
Iran’s UN mission said Wednesday that following the fire on the Sounion "and the subsequent environmental hazards," several countries it didn’t identify reached out to the Houthis "requesting a temporary truce for the entry of tugboats and rescue ships into the incident area."

[KavkazUzel] A military court in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced a resident of Stavropol to a long prison term, finding him a participant in the activities of a terrorist organization.
At the time of the crime charged to him, convicted citizen Bondarenko was serving a sentence in a penal colony.
According to the security forces, the man was in Penal Colony No. 11 in Stavropol Krai in November 2021 and "voluntarily joined the ranks" of a terrorist organization banned in Russia. He then planned to commit crimes on its behalf, Interfax-Yug quotes the regional FSB department as saying.
The case of Bondarenko, who was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code provides for ten to twenty years of imprisonment), was heard by the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don.
A resident of Stavropol has been sentenced to 12 years in a special regime penal colony with the first two years to be served in prison. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
The "Caucasian Knot" does not yet have any comments from the convicted person or his lawyer regarding the version of the investigation and the court.
"Caucasian Knot" wrote that on August 23, in colony No. 19 in Surovikino, four prisoners, declaring themselves supporters of the "Islamic State", took 12 people hostage. Three employees of the colony were killed, another later died in the hospital. The hostage-taking in Surovikino was the second in the Southern Federal District in three months: it was preceded by a similar incident that occurred in mid-June in the Rostov pre-trial detention center, where the attackers declared themselves supporters of the "Islamic State".
[IsraelTimes] Prosecutors say suspect researched Jewish holidays and Shabbat customs before Saturday’s attack, told acquaintances he wanted to fight in Gaza
A 33-year-old man who for a "long time nursed a hatred toward Jews" has faced terrorism charges over an arson attack on a French synagogue last weekend, prosecutors said Wednesday.
A police officer was injured after the suspect set multiple fires around the Beth Yaacov synagogue Saturday in the Mediterranean resort town of La Grande Motte.
The suspect, identified by prosecutors only by his initials EHK, expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, but was later arrested. He was injured in the thorax, arm, and face during the arrest, La Belle France’s national counterterrorism prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
EHK, an Algerian with French residency, was presented to a judge Wednesday.
The attack revived concerns about antisemitism in La Belle France, which has skyrocketed since the Paleostinian terrorist group Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... triggered the Gazoo

Prosecutors said they are seeking preliminary terrorism charges against him including attempted murder and arson committed for reasons of race or religion, as well as armed violence against police. Two other people suspected of providing him help are also facing potential charges.
Under questioning, the suspect admitted to staging the attack, and told Sherlocks that he acted to support the Paleostinian cause and make Israeli authorities react, the statement said. He said he did not have any homicidal intent, but wanted to scare people.
Based on questioning by police and his social media posts, EHK appears to have become more radical in his religious beliefs in recent months, and told acquaintances that he wanted to go fight in Gaza, prosecutors said. He also "has for a long time nursed a hatred toward Jews, specifically focused on the situation in Paleostine," the statement added.
In recent weeks, he purchased a firearm and conducted internet searches about synagogues in the region, Jewish festivals, and Shabbat practices, according to the statement.
He went alone to the Beth Yaacov synagogue Saturday with a handgun, several plastic bottles full of fuel, and an axe upon which he had written statements about Paleostine, Gaza, and Moslem blood, prosecutors said.
They asked for him to be incarcerated Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! , pending further investigation.
"Once again, French Jews have been targeted and attacked because of their beliefs," caretaker Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said, after visiting La Grand Motte. "We are outraged and repulsed."

A Nigerian national faces drug smuggling charges after Anti-Narcotics Force's (ANF) Lahore International Airport operation uncovered concealed cocaine capsules.
The suspect, who had flown into Pakistain from Nigeria via Dubai, was found with 38 cocaine-filled capsules hidden in his stomach, The Express Tribune reports.
According to ANF spokesperson, a total of 608 grams of cocaine was recovered from the capsules.
This arrest underscores a worrisome and accelerating trend in transnational drug smuggling, with foreign nationals playing a significant role.
Notably, Nigerian nationals have been disproportionately represented in these cases, with 10 individuals apprehended in 2023, and a remarkable 4.811 kilograms of contraband seized, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced international cooperation.
Thus far in the current year, law enforcement agencies have undertaken a series of rigorous operations, totaling seven, which have yielded significant results in the fight against narcotics trafficking.
Specifically, these efforts have led to the successful apprehension of eight Nigerian individuals, accompanied by the substantial seizure of 11.420 kilograms of illicit substances.

[GEOTV] Security forces have neutralised at least 12 hard boyz during the intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Tirah Valley, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
"Since 20 August 2024, security forces are conducting extensive intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Tirah Valley, Khyber District, on the reported presence of Khwarij," said the military's media affairs wing in a statement.
On August 28 and 29, troops effectively engaged the terrorists' locations where after intense fire exchange, 12 bandidosholy warriors of "Fitna-Al-Khwarij were sent to hell," the military's media wing said while referring to the Tehrik-e-Taliban ...the once and current oppressors of Afghanistan... Pakistain (TTP) bully boys.
The statement further said that these operations have resulted in a major setback to the TTP and its affiliates, adding that so far, 37 hard boyz have been "sent to hell", while 14 others have suffered serious injuries.
The military reaffirmed its commitment to restoring peace, saying that the IBOs will continue till peace is restored in the area and hard boyz are eliminated, as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... IBOs
Earlier today, at least five bad boyz were potted and three others injured during separate IBOs in Balochistan's Kech, Panjgur and Zhob districts.
A statement issued by the ISPR said the security forces are conducting extensive IBOs to hunt down the perpetrators of the Balochistan incident.
According to the military's media wing, the operations are being conducted in the backdrop of cowardly terrorist activities that targeted innocent civilians across Balochistan on August 26.
"On night August 29-30, in three separate IBOs in District Kech, Panjgur and Zhob, five hard boyz were sent to hell by the security forces, while three hard boyz got injured during the intense fire exchange," said the statement.
Moreover, sanitisation operations will continue until all perpetrators, controllers and abetters of these atrocious acts are brought to justice, it added.
The IBOs were launched after at least 23 passengers on Monday were killed after being offloaded from passenger buses and trucks in the Rarasham area of Balochistan's Musakhel.
Separately, at least 10 people, including police and Balochistan Levies personnel, were martyred in a gun attack in Kalat.
Furthermore, at least 14 brave sons of soil, including 10 security forces soldiers and four personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs), were martyred in clearance operations, wherein at least 21 bandidosholy warriors were neutralised.
[RUDAW] Iraq's Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced on Friday that it has killed 14 suspected Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... ''At 4:00 am on Thursday, August 29, 2024 — successive and surprising airstrikes were carried out on all the hideouts,'' read a statement from the Joint Operations Command.
''After festivities with those fleeing the airstrikes at several hideouts, the number of dead ISIS elements defeated in the deserts and caves reached 14 terrorists, some of whom were wearing boom belts and carrying hand grenades,'' it added.
The operation was carried out in cooperation and technical coordination with the International Coalition, according to the statement.
The JOC also noted that among the dead were ''key leaders from the top ranks'' of ISIS, adding that all the hideouts of the group along with their weapons and logistics support were destroyed.
ISIS rose to power and seized control of large swathes of Iraqi territory during a brazen offensive in 2014. It was declared territorially defeated in 2017, when its so-called caliphate in the country fell to Iraqi and Kurdish fighters, supported by the US-led international coalition.
Despite its territorial defeat, the group continues to carry out hit-and-run attacks, bombings, and abductions in several provinces, particularly in areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, which stretch across the provinces of Salahaddin, Diyala, Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... and Nineveh.
CENTCOM says it faced ISIS militants armed with ‘numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive ‘suicide’ belts’ during Thursday op in Anbar Desert; Iraq says key ISIS leaders killed
The United States military and Iraq launched a joint raid targeting suspected Islamic State group gunnies in the country’s western desert that killed at least 15 people and saw seven American troops hurt in the operation, officials said Saturday.
For years after dislodging the gunnies from their self-declared caliphate across Iraq and Syria, US forces have fought the Islamic State group, though the casualties from the raid were higher than others in the time since.
The US military’s Central Command alleged the gunnies were armed with "numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive ’suicide’ belts" during the attack Thursday, which Iraqi forces said happened in the country’s Anbar Desert.
"This operation targeted ISIS leaders to disrupt and degrade ISIS’ ability to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against Iraqi civilians, as well as US citizens, allies, and partners throughout the region and beyond," Central Command said, using an acronym for the bully boy group. "Iraqi Security Forces continue to further exploit the locations raided."
It added: "There is no indication of civilian casualties."
An Iraqi military statement said "Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s targeted the hideouts, followed by an airborne operation."
"Among the dead were key ISIS leaders," Iraq’s military said, without identifying them. "All hideouts, weapons, and logistical support were destroyed, boom belts were safely detonated and important documents, identification papers and communication devices were seized."
A US defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered... to discuss details of the operation yet to be made public, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that five American troops were maimed in the raid, while two others suffered injuries from falls in the operation. One who suffered a fall was transported out of the Mideast, while one of the maimed was evacuated for further treatment, the official said.
"All personnel are in stable, pH balanced condition," the official said.
It wasn’t immediately clear why it took two days for the US to acknowledge it took part in the raid. Iraq did not say the US took part in the operation when initially announcing it, as politicians debate the future of having American troops in the country. There are approximately 2,500 US troops in the country.

[IsraelTimes] Army investigating possible link between concurrent attacks in Gush Etzion, searching for additional suspects
The IDF said Friday night it had killed two Paleostinian Lions of Islam in the Gush Etzion area of the West Bank in two separate but possibly linked attacks, which saw two suspected boom-mobiles detonate around the same time.
In the first incident, a car went kaboom! at a gas station near the Gush Etzion junction. Troops dispatched to the scene rubbed out a terrorist who had arrived in the vehicle and who attempted to attack them, the military said.
Two men were moderately and lightly maimed by gunfire amid the incident, medics said, likely as a result of friendly fire while forces shot the alleged terrorist dead.
In the second incident, a Paleostinian rammed a car through the entrance to the nearby settlement of Karmei Tzur. IDF troops shot up the attacker.
One of the members of the local security team, in his own car, crashed into the attacker and killed him. The guard himself was lightly hurt.
A short while later, the assailant’s car went kaboom! due to a bomb planted in it.
The military was investigating both attacks and their possible connection, as well as searching for additional possible suspects.
Footage posted to social media showed the moment the suspect at the gas station was shot.
The commander of the IDF’s Etzion Regional Brigade, Col. Gal Rich, was slightly maimed in the gas station incident, a military source said. Rich was hit in the arm by gunfire. He was treated by medics and was in good condition.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it took to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem a 24-year-old in moderate condition and a 34-year-old in good condition after they were shot at the gas station.
Earlier this week the military launched counterterrorism operations in several West Bank cities, killing multiple button men. The IDF’s West Bank operations were conducted in the wake of an attempted suicide kaboom in Tel Aviv last week. The bomber, whose explosive detonated prematurely, was named by the Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... terror group as Jaafar Mona, from the West Bank city of Nablus.
Hamas official Khaled Mashaal called in a speech in Istanbul Wednesday for the resumption of suicide kabooms, according to reports in Arabic media.

[IsraelTimes] Israel says individuals were gunmen, which it specifically targeted without harming others; Anera does not explain their presence but says it did not view them as ‘hostile threat’
A US-based aid group admitted Friday that a group of individuals — who the Israeli military says were armed — took control of an aid convoy in the southern Gazoo

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip the day before, without the organization having vetted them or coordinated the matter with the Israel Defense Forces.
The military said Thursday that it struck the button men, killing them while not harming aid workers.
According to the IDF, Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... operatives frequently try to hijack aid deliveries.
The IDF had said on Thursday that a convoy of aid trucks from the American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera) organization entered the southern Rafah area with Israeli coordination. It said that during the drive, it identified a group of button men taking over a vehicle at the front of the convoy and beginning to lead it. The IDF described the act as a hijacking attempt.
Shortly afterward, the IDF said it was able to determine that it could strike just the car with the button men, without harming the rest of the convoy, and so it carried out a strike, killing at least four.
In a vaguely worded statement on Friday, Anera said that after the convoy departed the Kerem Shalom crossing, "four community members with experience in previous missions and engagement in community security" with their transport company, Move One, "stepped forward and took command of the leading vehicle, citing concern that the route was unsafe and at risk of being looted."
Anera did not explain who the four were, or why persons who had not been coordinated with the military were allowed to take control of the convoy. It acknowledged that "the four community members were neither vetted nor coordinated in advance."
Still, the organization said "the four individuals were not perceived by the convoy as a hostile threat" and that the Israeli strike "was carried out without any prior warning or communication."
No Anera employees were hurt in the incident, and the convoy arrived at its destination, both the IDF and the organization said. According to the Anera, only one employee was present in the convoy, and they were unharmed.
The IDF said Thursday that "the presence of gunnies in a humanitarian convoy without coordination is against the procedures, makes it difficult to secure the convoys and their workers and thus also harms the humanitarian effort in Gaza."
The military also said that representatives from the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) unit spoke with members of Anera, who "confirmed that all the members of the organization who were part of the convoy, along with the humanitarian aid, were safe and sound and reached their destination safely."
[IsraelTimes] Troops also recover bodies of six hostages in Khan Younis; military says Palestinians can return to neighborhoods that were excluded from humanitarian zone ahead of operation
The Israel Defense Forces on Friday wrapped up a three-week-long operation in the southern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip, during which the military said it demolished tunnels, killed over 250 button men and recovered the bodies of six hostages.
The raid, in Khan Younis and on the outskirts of Deir al-Balah, was launched by the 98th Division in early August. The division was withdrawn from Gaza early Friday as it prepared for future operations, the IDF said.
It was the third time that the IDF had reentered Khan Younis since its initial ground offensive there earlier this year. The latest operations have focused on recovering the bodies of hostages and demolishing Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... infrastructure with new intelligence.
According to the military, amid the operation this past month, combat engineers demolished six separate tunnels belonging to terror groups, totaling some six kilometers (3.7 miles) of underground passages.
Inside some of the tunnels, troops killed button men, located areas where terror operatives had resided and found weapons, the military said.
Hamas infrastructure above ground was also demolished amid the operation, the IDF said.
The military said troops also located weapons, rocket launchers and intelligence materials at a "central" Hamas outpost in the Deir al-Balah area.
In the Hamad Town residential complex of Khan Younis, the IDF recovered the bodies of six hostages from a Hamas tunnel last week. The hostages were Alex Dancyg, 75, Yagev Buchshtav, 35, Chaim Peri, 79, Yoram Metzger, 80, Nadav Popplewell, 51, and Avraham Munder, 78.
Following the operation, the IDF said Paleostinian civilians could return to areas in the al-Qarara suburb of Khan Younis. The area had been evacuated ahead of the operation in Khan Younis and was temporarily removed from the Israeli-designated "humanitarian zone."
Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, said that the previously evacuated areas would now again be considered as part of the humanitarian zone. He published a map showing the changes to the zone.
Some 1.9 million Paleostinians of the 2.3 million Gazook population are residing in the humanitarian zone, according to IDF assessments in July.
Both numbers may be exaggerated by a factor of lots to even more, but communicate the point that it’s awfully crowded.
The zone is located in the al-Mawasi area on the southern Strip’s coast, western neighborhoods of Khan Younis and central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah.
The size of the zone has changed multiple times, amid evolving IDF operations against the Hamas terror group. As of Friday, the zone is just over 46 square kilometers (17.7 square miles), or nearly 13 percent of the total size of the Gaza Strip.
Also on Friday morning, the IDF said that more than 30 sites in the Gaza Strip were struck by the Israeli Air Force in the past day. The targets included rocket launchers, buildings used by terror groups, weapon depots and other infrastructure, according to the IDF.
The military also said that troops with the 162nd Division killed dozens of button men in southern Gaza’s Rafah in the previous 24 hours.
Military sources said Thursday that Hamas’s Rafah Brigade had "collapsed" as a result of the IDF’s ongoing offensive in the city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israel launched its war against Hamas in Gaza following the terror group’s onslaught on southern Israel on October 7, during which it killed around 1,200 people and took 251 hostages, 103 of whom are believed to still be held in the Gaza Strip.
The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 40,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far. The toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 17,000 combatants in battle and about 1,000 bandidosholy warriors inside Israel during the October 7 attack.
[GEO.TV] Israel said it killed three Hamas fighters in an air strike in the occupied West Bank on Friday, taking the death toll from a large-scale military operation now in its third day to at least 19.

Israeli forces claim they kill local Hamas commander in West Bank
[GEO.TV] Israeli forces killed a local commander of Hamas in the flashpoint city of Jenin on Friday as they pressed a major operation in the occupied West Bank for a third day, the Israeli military said.
The military said Border Police forces had killed Wassem Hazem, who it said was the head of Hamas in Jenin and was involved in shooting and bombing attacks in the Palestinian territory. Wissam Ayman Hazem was killed in an aerial bombing after clashing with the Israeli forces in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, al-Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... said, reported Al Jazeera.
The death of two other members, Maisarah Masharqa and Arafat Amer, in the attack was also confirmed through a statement on Telegram.
[IsraelTimes] Wissam Hazem shot dead by undercover forces amid ongoing major operation in northern West Bank; in all, military says 20 gunmen killed
The commander of Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... ’s military wing in the West Bank city of Jenin was killed along with two other operatives in festivities and dronezaps on Friday morning, the Israel Defense Forces, Shin Bet security agency, and police said.
According to the military, amid an ongoing operation in the northern West Bank, troops spotted a cell of button men in a car in the Jenin area town of Zababdeh.
Inside the car was Wissam Hazem, the head of Hamas’s terror network in Jenin.
Undercover Border Police officers shot up the car, killing Hazem, while the other two button men fled, the joint statement said. A short while later, a drone struck and killed the pair.
The military released drone footage showing the moment the Border Police officers ambushed Hazem and the dronezaps carried out a short while later. Police released a separate clip from body cameras on the officers, showing them blocking the car that Hazem was in and exchanging fire with him.
According to Israel, Hazem was involved in numerous shooting and bombing attacks and was advancing additional attacks.
The other two button men, killed by the drone, were named by the IDF as Maysara Masharqa and Arafat Amer.
The military said they were Hamas members working under Hazem and were also involved in shooting attacks, including against Israeli communities near the West Bank security barrier.
Inside the car and on the bodies of the terror operatives, the IDF says it recovered assault rifles, handguns and other equipment.
No troops were hurt in the incident.
The dronezaps came amid an ongoing large-scale operation in the northern West Bank launched early Wednesday. The military has been operating mostly in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, but also in Jenin and the Far’a camp near Tubas.
The IDF said on Friday afternoon that it had killed 20 button men and detained another 17 since the start of the operation. Paleostinian media also reported that 20 had been killed.
Early Thursday, Israeli forces killed five Paleostinian button men who were hiding in a mosque in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, including the commander of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... ’s local wing in the Nur Shams camp, the military said.
Another founding member of Islamic Jihad’s local wing in Tulkarem was detained.
The large operation, involving the Kfir Brigade, the Duvdevan Commando Unit, combat engineers and Border Police, was expected to last at least several days, military sources said Wednesday.
The ongoing operation was focused on dismantling a Hamas and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad terror network in the Tulkarem area, as well as in Jenin and the Far’a camp near Tubas.
While the army has said it has seen a relative decline in terror coming from the northern West Bank in recent months, it has also seen continued attempts by terror operatives to launch attacks.
After a series of smaller operations in the northern West Bank, the IDF decided to launch a more extensive operation, targeting three areas at once — Jenin, Tulkarem and Far’a — where terror operatives were seen as operating together, military sources said.
The large-scale operation was also launched in part following an intended suicide kaboom in Tel Aviv earlier this month.
The IDF has carried out several dronezaps amid the operation. In the past 10 months, the IDF has carried out more than 60 Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in the West Bank, using drones, attack helicopters and fighter jets.
A Border Police officer was lightly hurt and an IDF soldier was moderately maimed amid the operations on Wednesday and Thursday.
Since October 7, troops have arrested some 4,850 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 1,960 affiliated with Hamas.
According to the Paleostinian Authority’s health ministry, more than 670 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or gunnies carrying out attacks.
During the same period, 27 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another five members of the security forces were killed in festivities with terror operatives in the West Bank.
[IsraelTimes] Army takes responsibility for attack on Beirut-Damascus highway, says it killed Fares Qasem, a prominent member of PIJ operations; Hezbollah operative also among the dead

The military said Qasem was a prominent member of Islamic Jihad’s operations unit.
"Qasem was tasked with building operational plans for the PIJ terror organization in Syria and Lebanon, and played a central role in recruiting Paleostinian turbans into the Hezbollah terror organization, for the purpose of carrying out terror operations from Lebanon against the State of Israel," the IDF said.
The IDF said that in recent years, Hezbollah, with Iranian funding, has been recruiting Paleostinians into its ranks to attack Israel.
Two more PIJ operatives were killed in the strike, along with a Hezbollah operative, two security sources told Rooters.
Hezbollah later announced that its member Muhammad Taha, from Baalbek, had been killed "on the road to Jerusalem," its term for operatives slain in Israeli strikes.
PIJ also announced the deaths of Qasem and two other members, named as Osama Areesha and Hussam Areesha.
The IDF said the four were driving from Syria to Lebanon to carry out operations on behalf of Hezbollah.
The IDF rarely takes responsibility for strikes in Syria.
The Damascus-based Islamic Jihad has sent a stream of fighters from Syria to join Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon. Both groups are supported by Iran. Israel also frequently targets Iran-backed fighters in Syria, although it rarely acknowledges the strikes.
Later on Wednesday, Lebanese media reported a series of Israeli airstrikes near the town of Ain al-Tineh, in the Western Beqaa District, around 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the Israeli border.
Footage posted to social media showed several plumes of smoke rising from a mountain near the town.
Another alleged Israeli strike late Tuesday night hit a pickup truck loaded with Hezbollah missiles that was traveling in northeast Lebanon, some six miles from the city of Baalbek, according to AFP. One person was maimed in the strike, the health ministry in Lebanon said. A source close to Hezbollah confirmed the hit Tuesday night, saying: "The munitions that were inside the truck caught fire."
The IDF said it also carried out an airstrike against a building in southern Lebanon’s Odaisseh on Tuesday, after spotting a cell of Hezbollah operatives there.
So far, the skirmishes with Hezbollah have resulted in 26 civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of 20 IDF soldiers and reservists. There have also been several attacks from Syria, without any injuries.
Hezbollah has named 430 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon but some also in Syria. Another 76 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and dozens of civilians have been killed.

[RUDAW] One civilian was killed and two others were maimed in the city of Amuda in northeast Syria (Rojava) when a suspected Ottoman Turkish drone struck a neighborhood, according to local reports.
Hani Khalaf, 35, was killed in the Mesakin neighborhood of Amuda near the Ottoman Turkish border. Two other people were also injured, reported Hawar News Agency (ANHA), a media outlet affiliated with the Kurdish authorities.
Power lines and local businesses were also damaged by the strike, according to ANHA.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based war monitor that relies on a network of sources within Syria, said the attack was carried out by a ''Ottoman Turkish drone'' and one person was injured.

[RUDAW] Kurdish security forces (Asayish) in northeast Syria (Rojava) on Thursday said that they captured ''dangerous terrorist elements'' planning to target the international coalition bases in the region.
''Our General Security Forces and Special Forces (HAT) conducted two precise security operations in the rural areas of Hasaka and Jal Agha, targeting dangerous terrorist elements who were planning to carry out attacks on international coalition bases in the region,'' read a statement from Rojava Asayish.
The operation was conducted after midnight on Tuesday, according to the statement, during which the group's leader was identified in the village of al-Mizar in the countryside of Hasaka.
The security forces also reported seizing weapons in the operation, including several rockets.
The statement did not clarify whether the apprehended individuals were members of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. The operation comes as the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which controls Rojava, ramped up its joint anti-ISIS operations with the global coalition.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based conflict monitor, reported on Monday that since the start of August, the SDF and coalition have conducted six ''intensive security operations'' resulting in the arrests of eight members of ISIS cells and the killing of three others in the provinces of Hasaka, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor.
