[NOLA] Detective Everett Briscoe had earned his vacation.
A 13-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department, Briscoe had investigated homicides and other serious crimes across the city for over a decade. The 41-year-old father of two boys was preparing to pursue a university degree in criminal justice and, like many, was working to keep his family safe during the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic.
So as he unwound during a trip to Houston on Saturday night, Briscoe decided to grab dinner on the patio of the Grotto Restorante in the Texas city's ritzy Galleria neighborhood. But at 5:15 p.m., the evening turned tragic when two button men approached Briscoe and other patrons, demanded their belongings and opened fire, killing Briscoe and critically injuring another man visiting from New Orleans.
The slaying stunned New Orleans civic and law enforcement leaders, who fought back tears Sunday as they decried the callousness of the killing and the plague of violent mostly peaceful crime surging in U.S. cities.
"Having to inform (Briscoe’s widow) and two sons that their father and husband weren’t coming home because of senseless violence is ... difficult," NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said, flanked by Mayor LaToya Cantrell and other leaders at a news conference at police headquarters. "We lost a good one."
Councilman Jay Banks, who has known Briscoe for years through both men's membership in the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, struggled to contain his despair.
"No other family should have to go through this," he said, his voice rising in anger and grief. "Nobody else should have to stand at these podiums and talk about this. ... We've got to figure out how to stop this, y'all. It makes no sense. It makes no sense for this much pain and grief to continue."
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner told news hounds on Saturday that Briscoe and the other patrons were complying with the robbers’ demands when one of the assailants began shooting.
Struck were Briscoe and Dyrin Riculfy, who were each in Houston on a trip with fellow Zulu members, officials said. Though Briscoe died Saturday, Riculfy — the 43-year-old owner of a party bus and tuxedo rental company — was said to be fighting for his life Sunday.
The attackers then fled, apparently without stealing anything, in a gray or silver Nissan Altima with paper license plates.
Finner said officers were scouring Houston for the robbers and their getaway vehicle, and he implored the public to come forward with any information that could help Sherlocks make arrests.
"I’m not going to let ... a few little thugs tear down our city," Finner said. "Right now, I’m damn mad. It makes no sense."

Could just be amateurs panicking, but it almost sounds more like a hit than a robbery.
[NATIONALREVIEW] The Taliban ...Arabic for students... on Tuesday eliminated any ambiguity surrounding the United States’ withdrawal deadline, saying the American military must be out of Afghanistan by the Biden crime family administration ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... ’s August 31 departure date.
Amid rumors that President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S., who gives the geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan....... is deliberating pushing out the expiration date to evacuate the thousands of American nationals and refugees still stuck in Afghanistan’s interior, a Taliban front man announced that "no extensions" will be granted, the News Agency that Dare Not be Named confirmed.
At a presser Tuesday, Taliban representative Zabihullah Mujahid said it would be a "violation" of the Trump-era arrangement to allow foreign nationals to exit the country beyond August 31st.
"We want them to evacuate all foreign nationals by the 31st of August and we are not in favor of allowing Afghans to leave," he said, according to a translation.
As the window closes, the Taliban has warned the U.S. could face "consequences" for reneging on its pledge to leave by month’s end. Taliban front man Suhail Shaheen said in an interview aired Monday that western forces would be crossing a "red line" if they remain in the country through September.
The military has reportedly requested that the White House decide by Tuesday whether it will postpone the departure date so troops can prepare for the expedited pull-out of nearly 6,000 U.S. troops supporting the evacuations.
In a moment of bipartisanship, Republicans and Democrats have rallied together to ramp up the rescue missions of American citizens and Afghan allies who served alongside the U.S. in the two-decade counter-terrorism operation in Afghanistan. According to a CBS News/YouGov poll released Sunday, 81 percent of Americans support bringing Afghans who helped the U.S. military to the United States for sanctuary.

...The Biden Administration has Certain Parts Of Its Anatomy(TM) caught in a wringer here, and the only way I can see this ending with even a chance of getting the Americans out will be a deal where the Taliban (or worse, a 'Multinational' force)secures the outer perimeter of the airport as the last US military evacuates by 31 August and whatever Americans can get to Kabul by then will get pulled out by civilian or UN/Third Country operated aircraft.
I hope like hell there's another way out but I ain't seeing it.

We would like to consider an extension to our previously agreed closing date.
No. In fact, now we close down the airport access for your Afghans.

Besoeker has a good batting average, and it does make a lot of sense for both sides to have a blackout.
Suppose we should look for a leak about how it was Saudi Arabia's fault there overnight on 9/5 to build up outrageous outrage against S.A. leading up to the 20th anniversary of 9/11, then the tribute to end all tributes can focus on victims and blame, and skirt any Afghanistan coverage?

The Taliban holds every single card, and they're going to play them. What's coming next will make the Iran Hostage crisis look like a recess spat among preschoolers.
Retaking Bagram isn't an option at all at this point - we could take the place back in a straightforward enough manner, but the most we could get in there would be a thousand or so troops. It would be surrounded within hours, and the balance would simply get worse with every passing hour. Karzai IAP is worse - it's surrounded by tens of thousands of civilians and thousands of Taliban who we can't tell apart - Talibs, by the by, who are already using children as human shields. I would be very surprised if the Talibs don't have mortars already set up to close the runway if they feel it's time, and there will be nothing we can do about it. Right now, that place is a high tech Dien Bien Phu.

Mike gets it right at #2. The only likely outcome short of significant major bloodshed is some sort of negotiated financial arrangement. Yes, the TB hold the cards and it is very likely they have all sorts of advisors telling them how to play them.
Warring, banditry, and extortion have always been their game. The two choices now appear to be pay up, or kill very one of the worthless thieving bastids.

[Townhall] This week, Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst said Afghans being evacuated amid the Taliban recapture of Afghanistan will be welcomed in the United States as long as they’ve been "fully vetted."
During an interview on ABC’s "This Week" segment, Ernst explained that she and her Republican colleagues want to welcome Afghan evacuees into the United States once they have been vetted and criticized Biden’s "haphazard" handling of our pullout from Afghanistan.
"We want to welcome those that are fully vetted," Ernst said. "That is extremely important — that we make sure they are vetted before they touch down on American soil."

[Breitbart] A female Afghan refugee using the name "Muskan" told India’s News18 on Saturday that Taliban fighters are raping both live women and the dead bodies of their victims.
News18’s account described Muskan as a "girl" who left her job in Afghanistan and fled to New Delhi after "her life was threatened by a Jihadist group." The article did not say exactly when she left Afghanistan.
"When we were there, we received numerous warnings. If you go to work, you are under threat, your family is under threat. After one warning, they would stop giving any warning," Muskan said.
"They rape dead bodies too. They don’t care whether the person is dead or alive. Can you imagine this?" she added.
Muskan claimed the Taliban is seizing women from "each household" in towns they conquered and planned a "horrible destiny" for any women suspected of working for the U.S.-supported Afghan federal government.

Yep. During Edo period in Japan it was believed that children were not humans until they are 7 years old and given to the high infant mortality rate back then, the Japanese believed that gods could easily take them away because they had just put them in the world. Thus they used to kill unwanted progeny.

Afghan women have to play dead in bed anyway. It's a moslem thing, really. If they act... involved, their husbands can beat them for being wanton lushes. The FGM tradition is rooted in the premise that females mustn't derive any pleasure from their bodies.
And this is not a taliban thing. It's everywhere strict sunnah abounds, even in Indonesia and saudi arabia.
Follow up to yesterday's report of captured guns. About the aircraft: How many trained pilots do the Taliban have, how many trained airplane mechanics, and how is their parts and fuel stockpile after President Biden stopped replenishment a few months ago? More likely the aircraft will be used as gift and trade goods for new and old friends like Iran, Pakistan, and China.

Were Batteries included? ☻
But look at this from the Military Industrial Complex angle.
Now the US DOD needs to replaced those Items ($$$$$).
Naturally to be replaced with now required better and More Expensive models.
Also sooner than later there will be a need for replacement parts and supplies. Which of course can't be sold directly to the Taliban.
So 3rd and 4th party middle men will be needed. ($$$$$) all around.
I'd be watching the Generals and Politicians that planned this massive DOD armament dump. Surely some ($$$$$ or JOB's) is going to end up in some pockets.
Or we have some of the Stupidest people in leadership roles protecting the USA and our citizens.

They will just have to scavenge for used parts after the Inshallah maintenance takes effect. During the Iran-Iraq War the Iranian "Air Force" was soon down to 4 sorties per month (American F-14s, per Cordeman) because of spare parts shortages...
#12
Absolutely. Without parts they don't have 29 Super Tocanos, after x hours operation they have 10. Without helo pilots, they don't have 45 Blackhawks they have 0. A helo pilot without Blackhawk experience is going to put x hours of operation so they really have 10, if they can find someone qualified to do repairs.
Aircraft Fuel could also run low or out.
Consider the meme trolling they have been doing, and what a certain piece of propaganda might accomplish.

[ToloNews] Ahmad Massoud, the son of Afghanistan’s late National Hero Ahmad Shah Massoud, said he will never hand over Panjshir province to anyone, even as the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... increases its forces near the mountainous valley in northern Afghanistan.
The Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid on Twitter said that the Taliban forces have retaken Deh Salah and Pul-e-Hesar districts [in Baghlan province] from local forces.
Speaking to Rooters, Massoud said he hoped for negotiations to resolve the issues, but he is ready for war if the negotiations fail.

[UPI] A firefight erupted early Monday between unknown attackers and Afghan cops and Western allies at the north gate of the airport in Kabul, officials said.
The German military said via Twitter that a shootout involving American, German and Afghan soldiers engaging unknown assailants began at 4:13 a.m.
At least one person was killed and multiple people were maimed. They were members of Afghan cops, the military said, adding that no German soldiers were harmed.
The White House said Monday that the U.S. military evacuated about 10,400 people on 28 flights from Kabul between Sunday and Monday morning. It said other coalition members evacuated almost 6,000 on 61 planes.
Since Aug. 14, the White House added, about 37,000 people have been evacuated and 42,000 have been relocated since the end of July.
The chaotic situation in Hamid Karzai International Airport is not only mitigated but has increased and a gunfight on Monday, August 23, killed at least one and wounded three more.
An unknown gunman reportedly opened fire at Afghan guards which prompted responsive fires both by Afghan forces and US troops.
The slain and those wounded are not yet fully confirmed, whether they are the Taliban members or the Afghan force members.
A special unit of the National Directorate of Security is not yet surrendered and is assisting the foreign troops in particular the US ones to evacuate people.
The incident happened at the northern gate of Kabul airport.
The Taliban officials have not commented on the gunfight yet and all the gates of the airport closed as thousands of men, women, and children are still awaiting a flight in blazing weather at the doors.
The chaos in Hamid Karzai International Airport has triggered anger among the Afghan people on social media and has called the situation to be a sheer impudence as women are hugged by US military personnel to cross barricades into the airport.
People have asked the applicants to be patient, wait for the order to prevail in the airport, and do not let such a shame which is defaming the people of Afghanistan on a global stage.
With access still difficult, the US military went beyond the airport to carry out another helicopter retrieval of Americans. US officials said a military helicopter picked up 16 American citizens Monday and brought them onto the airfield for evacuation. This was at least the second such rescue mission beyond the airport; Kirby said that last Thursday, three Army helicopters picked up 169 Americans near a hotel just beyond the airport gate and flew them onto the airfield.
US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. He also abandoned Afghanistan.... ’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said at the White House that talks with the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... are continuing as the administration looks for additional ways to safely move more Americans and others into the Kabul airport.
In a reminder of the urgency felt amid a dizzying array of security threats to the evacuation effort, the Pentagon posted a video of a laser near the airport targeting a US Air Force C-17 aircraft and apparently attempting to disrupt the pilot during landing.
After more than a week of evacuations plagued by major obstacles, including Taliban forces and crushing crowds that are making approaching the airport difficult and dangerous, the number of people flown out met — and exceeded — US projections for the first time. The count was more than twice the 3,900 flown out in the previous 24 hours on US military planes.
Army Gen. Stephen Lyons, head of US Transportation Command, which manages the military aircraft that are executing the Kabul airlift, told a Pentagon news conference that more than 200 planes are involved, including aerial refueling planes, and that arriving planes are spending less than an hour on the tarmac at Kabul before loading and taking off. He said the nonstop mission is taking a toll on aircrews.
"They’re tired," Lyons said of the crews. "They’re probably exhausted in some cases."
On a more positive note, Lyons said that in addition to the widely reported case of an Afghan woman giving birth aboard a US evacuation aircraft, two other babies have been born in similar circumstances. He did not provide details.
The Pentagon said it has added a fourth US military base, in New Jersey, to three others — in Virginia, Texas and Wisconsin — that are prepared to temporarily house arriving Afghans. Maj. Gen. Hank Williams, the Joint Staff deputy director for regional operations, told news hounds there are now about 1,200 Afghans at those military bases. The four bases combined are capable of housing up to 25,000 evacuees, Kirby said.
Afghan evacuees continued to arrive at Dulles International Airport outside of Washington. A bus carried some of the latest arrivals from Dulles airport to another site for what would be one of many processing stops before they reach new homes in the United States.
Over 700 Indians evacuated from Afghanistan so far
[OneIndia] With six flights of the Indian Air Force and Air India undertaking missions in Afghanistan, the number of Indians evacuated from the war torn country has crossed 700.
Two more flights would be flying into Kabul today to evacuate more Indians. The evacuation mission began from August 16 onwards and in extremely tough conditions, scores of Indians were evacuated from Afghanistan that was taken over by the Taliban ...Arabic for students... earlier this month.
The operation to bring back those stranded from Afghanistan was monitored by External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. The first C17 had 40 Indians, while the second one comprised 100 which included Rudrendra Tandon, the Indian envoy to Afghanistan.
Sources tell OneIndia that there were several checkpoints that had to be manouvered. While most of them were being manned by the Taliban, there were some which had rogue elements. The problem was with these rogue elements who could have been detrimental to the operation to get the Indians out, the source cited above also said.
India also coordinated with several countries to ensure that this operation was a success. The other issues was that the Kabul Airport had no space and hence the C17 had to be parked for a while at Tajikistan.
As the operations began the C17 was flown from the airbase at Ayni from time to time. The C17 had to be diverted due to the turmoil on the ground at the Kabul airport. There were numerous countries which were trying to evacuate their citizens as a result of which the Kabul Airport had become extremely busy.

6 August 2021: Rached Ghannouchi, the speaker of Tunisia's parliament and head of the Ennahda party, was targeted by Saudi Arabia for surveillance using the NSO Group's Pegasus spyware, Middle East Eye can reveal. Ghannouchi is one of 50,000 numbers found on a list acquired by investigative NGO Forbidden Stories and Amnesty International that is believed to be made up of phones that the Israeli tech company’s clients have targeted since 2016. Forbidden Stories told Ghannouchi his phone was on the list two weeks ago. It is his primary number, one of two he uses, and one he has used for 10 years. The number is not in the public domain.

[IsraelTimes] Dutch authorities say that a temporary accommodation center for Afghan evacuees at an army barracks in the northern Netherlands is full and a second location is being opened.
The government agency that houses asylum seekers says that the camp in the remote village of Zoutcamp reached its capacity yesterday night, with the arrival of 178 Afghan evacuees.
A new accommodation center is being opened to house more Afghans at another military barracks in the central town of Zeist.
The Dutch defense ministry says it has completed nine flights out of Kabul to airports in the region since the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... seized control of Afghanistan. Six flights carrying evacuees from Afghanistan have arrived in the Netherlands carrying a total of more than 800 people. That number includes Dutch nationals, Afghans and citizens of other countries.
[AlAhram] Cyprus signed an agreement with Leb last year to take back anyone trying to reach the island by boat.
Cyprus on Monday sent 88 Syrian migrants colonists back to Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... after they tried to reach the eastern Mediterranean island nation on two boats.
Interior Minister Nicos Nouris told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that rescue crews continue to search for one of five men who jumped overboard after police vessels intercepted their boat off Cyprus' eastern coast. Nouris said police picked up four men, but the fifth, who was wearing a mask, flippers and a life preserver, managed to swim away.
One pregnant woman and another man who was ill were airlifted to hospital.
Coastal radar had picked up two vessels approaching the Cypriot coastline Sunday evening. Marine police vessels intercepted the boats _ which carried a combined 48 men, 15 women and 25 minors _15 kilometers (9 miles) from coast.
They were transferred to a chartered boat on Monday for the trip back to Lebanon under police escort.
Nouris said Cyprus has a right to protect its borders from such irregular migration despite criticism by human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... groups that the deal violates international law because migrants colonists aren't given the chance to apply for asylum.
More than 1,337 Syrians have reached Cyprus by sea since 2019. Many more migrants colonists come from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... through the ethnically divided island's unrecognized, breakaway north. Authorities say the number of migrants colonists who have either received or have applied for protection in Cyprus now accounts for 4% of the population.
Cyprus has asked the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... 's border agency Frontex to stem the flow of migrant arrivals from countries including Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.
Cyprus lies 170 kilometers (100 miles) west of Syria and 230 kilometers (140 miles) west of Lebanon.

[OneIndia] Another person was arrested in Assam for allegedly supporting the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... 's takeover of Afghanistan on social media, taking the total number of such apprehensions in the state to 16, police said on Monday.
The man, who worked in a tyre shop in Jorabat area of Guwahati, was arrested for his Facebook post in support of the Taliban, a police brass hat said.
Fifteen people, including an Assam Police constable, a big shot of the state unit of Jamaat Ulema-e-Hind, a medical student and a journalist, were arrested from various districts on August 20 and 21 for their social media posts supporting the bad boy group's takeover of Afghanistan.
The arrested people have been booked under several sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, IT Act and CrPC, he said, adding that more people were under the radar for similar posts.

More than 500 people have been booked actually. Their unique identification numbers logged in a blacklist sent to ISPs. No more internet for them, ever.
In India you need your citizen ID number to get a connection, buy a sim card or even sit in a cyber cafe. Use your connection for Allah hoolery and the ISPs will ban your ID forever.

Spent 4 years pursuing these idjits on social media. I had some success, even got Zehra Duhman kicked of FB for a good while but that started to dwindle as the algorithms took hold. It was pretty bad their for a bit. It's far worse now and only going in that direction.

Zehra Duman is an Australian-born Turkish woman who traveled to Daesh territory where she married a jihadi fighter. Born in Melbourne, Duman is reported to have been a friend of Tara Nettleton and Khaled Sharrouf, who travelled from Australia to Daesh territory, with their five children, in 2014. Duman's online recruiting activities have been the subject of scholarly attention. Duman married an Australian jihadist named Mahmoud Abdullatif, who was killed in action five weeks after their marriage. Duman was described as an active recruiter of volunteers, who taunted Australian authorities to "catch me if you can". In "Fatal Attraction: Western Muslimas and ISIS", Anita Perešin identified Duman as a female jihad supporter who claimed to want to personally undertake suicide mission or engage in combat. Provocative photos Duman tweeted, of herself and four other women, clad head to toe in black, holding AK-47 rifles, and posing over an expensive sports car, have been widely republished.
[GREATERKASHMIR] A top commander of LeT and his deputy were killed in a brief shootout in Srinagar on Monday, with the Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... police chief describing the killings as a "major success".
Pertinently, Abbas and Saqib figured in police's hit list of top 10 hard boyz operating in the valley.
Besides the slain duo, Salim Parray, Yousuf Kantroo, Reyaz Shetergund, Farooq Nali, Zubair Wani, Ashraf Molvi, Umer Mushtaq Khandey & Wakeel Shah were also in the list. Wakeel was killed along with two associates in a shootout with security forces in Nagbaeran forest area in south Kashmir's Pulwama on Saturday.
Giving details, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that ten coppers in civvies killed the duo. "After information, ten coppers from J&K police in civvies went there and cordoned off the area," the IGP told news hounds in a brief conversation here, as per news agency GNS.
Kumar said that the duo were warned, but they fired upon the police, who retaliated, leading to a shootout in which they were killed.
The IGP said that Abbas was motivating youth to join bully boy ranks while Saqib "carried out killings on the instructions of the Abbas."
A resident of Rampur village in Kulgam, Sheikh, 45, was a top bully boy commander from the south Kashmir district and one of the oldest hard boyz in the valley, reported GNS.
Previously associated with Hizbul Mujahideen ...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003... , sources told GNS that Sheikh was part of The Resistance® Front (TRF), which police say is a shadow group of Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... (LeT).
Sheikh had escaped several times after breaking the cordon in the last six years. Saqib was resident of Srinagar, as per the report.

[Rudaw] A new security operation targeting Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) remnants has been launched in Tarmiyah,
...sometimes spelt Tarmia, a country town of 90,000 which apparently belongs to the mayoralty of Baghdad. It’s full of Sunni tribals, and once held Saddam Hussein’s uranium enrichment facility, back when Iraq was actively working to develop its own nukes, which explains why ISIS was happy there...
north of Baghdad, announced by Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in a visit to the area on Monday.
It is the second operation to be launched in as many weeks, with the first launched on August 14.
Kadhimi visited Tarmiyah’s military operations command on Monday, meeting with security officials and tribal leaders.
During the visit, the PM said the fight against terror is a "collective responsibility" and requires cooperation between both security forces and civilians.
Kadhimi’s military spokesperson Yehia Rasool announced the start of the operation on Twitter, and said additional forces will be sent to Tarmiyah.
Tarmiyah is vulnerable to ISIS attacks, with four soldiers killed in an IED explosion in the district in May. A security source blamed the attack on the terror group.
Five ISIS gunnies were killed in an ambush in Tarmiyah in February.
An hideout used by ISIS sleeper cells was destroyed in the area on Thursday.
[IsraelTimes] Three more Jewish men have been arrested in connection with the mob attack on an Arab in Bat Yam in May, during the war with Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... and the internal Jewish-Arab violence it brought on.
The three, all residents of the city, are suspected of beating Saeed Mousa, as he tried to flee from a huge violent mostly peaceful crowd by the beach.
Several people have already been indicted in the incident that shocked the country.
It is our assessment, that you have failed in your mission as an 'agent of influence', all indications are the people see right through you, no credence is being given to your posts and commentaries, and they have devolved into nothing more than thoughtless childish tokens of harassment.
Now finish your bottle of Slivovitz, and come along, we have other fish to fry elsewhere.
[JPost] The IDF struck targets in the Gaza Strip late Monday night and into Tuesday morning after 10 fires were sparked by incendiary balloons launched into Israel from Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit confirmed.
IDF fighter jets had struck a weapons production site in Khan Younis, a terrorist tunnel in Jabaliya and a rocket-launching platform in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, which was located in a civilian area near a school, the IDF said.
In response to machine-gun fire from Gaza that was heard in Israel, the IDF carried out an additional strike on a Hamas terrorist tunnel in Khan Younis.
The strike was in response to the firing of incendiary balloons, which "proved once again that the terrorist organization Hamas continues to lead and degenerate Gaza into a terrorist state," the IDF said, adding that they will continue to strongly respond to further attempts at terrorism and that it holds Hamas responsible for everything that happens in Gaza.
The balloon launches came as Palestinian factions threatened to continue "popular activities," including border protests, until the blockade on the Gaza Strip is lifted and Qatari funds are transferred into the coastal enclave.
