Jewish student populations at Harvard, Yale and Cornell were estimated to be between 20 and 25 percent, while those at Dartmouth, Princeton and Brown hovered between 13 and 20 percent. Jews now make up 9.9 percent of Harvard’s undergraduate enrollment and 12.2 percent at Yale, according to estimates on Hillel’s website.

A Bulgarian man fighting extradition to La Belle France for defacing the Gay Paree Holocaust memorial in May denied Wednesday that he had acted out of racial motives, telling AFP it was "just hooliganism."
Which is also illegal, and punishable by fine and/or imprisonment, depending on how severe and expensive the outcome.
La Belle France issued European arrest warrants for three Bulgarians after red hands were painted on the Gay Paree Holocaust Memorial’s Wall of the Righteous, which lists 3,900 people honored for protecting Jews during the Nazi occupation of La Belle France in World War II.
Two Bulgarians, identified by a Sofia court as 35-year-old Georgi Filipov and 27-year-old Kiril Milushev, were detained in the Bulgarian capital in July. A third suspect was detained in Croatia.
A Sofia court on Wednesday held a hearing on whether Filipov should be extradited to La Belle France but postponed a decision until September 26.
"I took part in this but not in the sense that they say in the media, it had nothing to do with chauvinism, racism or anything else of the sort," Filipov told AFP before the hearing.
"I have nothing against anyone there or the buildings. I had simply drunk a lot of alcohol. This was just hooliganism," he said.
He told AFP that he had planned to go to Gay Paree "to see the Eiffel Tower."
"We were a bunch of drunk people. Someone proposed to do something like that and I didn’t refuse, which I regret."
He insisted he "had no idea whatsoever" what the red hands symbolize, adding that he had no alternative to running away after coming to his "senses the next day."

New York’s suburban Nassau County has passed a bill to ban the wearing of masks after an incident in the state in which anti-Israel protesters wearing masks to hide their identity threatened Zionists on the subway.
The mask ban would cover any sort of public protest, but politicians in the Republican-controlled county say the bill aims to prevent protesters who engage in alleged violence and antisemitism from hiding their identity and avoiding accountability. Civil rights advocates saw the step as an infringement on free speech rights.

The New York Civil Liberties Union said the bill was an attack on free speech.
"Masks protect people who express political opinions that are unpopular. Making anonymous protest illegal chills political action and is ripe for selective enforcement," Susan Gottehrer, the Nassau County regional director of NYCLU, said.
A mask ban proposal gained traction in June after masked protesters in a subway car chanted "Raise your hand if you’re a Zionist." That same evening protesters, many of them masked, demonstrated outside an exhibit commemorating the Nova music festival massacre in a rally widely condemned as antisemitic.

Alabama outlawed masks statewide for protests and certain parades back in the 60's to combat the KKK. In 1983 a person in Birmingham was arrested for wearing a Nixon mask during a music festival. A bit extreme but the law is the law.

In a stark warning, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency is alerting all field offices that Iran or its proxies may try to transport “operatives, money or materials” across the southern or northern U.S. borders to conduct a terrorism attack against Americans, according to an agency memo obtained Wednesday by Just the News.
The memo from the CBP’s Office of Field Operations urged agency personnel to take a “heightened posture due to ongoing security threats” and suggested that recent, coordinated attack from Iran-backed Hezbollah on Israeli children playing in Golan Heights soccer fields raised the distinct threat of similar attacks against the West.
Israel’s assassination of a Hamas leader in Tehran was also cited in the alert.
“The seniority of the targets, the sensitive locations of the strikes, and their near simultaneity represents an escalation in tension in the region and raises concerns of additional reprisals from Iran and its regional proxies,” the memo states.
“With significant government of Iran and Lebanese Hezbollah influence and presence in the Western Hemisphere, OFO could see cross-border travel of operatives, money and or materials to support operations in the United States."
The memo also states that ports of entry should increase their enforcement posture by conducting high visibility operations and "hardening measures.”
And it urged CBP to work with federal, state and local law enforcement partners to “deter, prevent, preempt or respond to a terrorism attack against the United States.”
The memo also confirmed earlier intelligence that the Venezuelan-based gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) has moved extensive assets across the U.S. border to northeastern states and its members may try to fire weapons on law enforcement.
The memo more specifically that recent intelligence has indicated the TdA operating in Denver has been "given a green light to fire on or attack law enforcement.”
The warning from a key agency inside Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ department was one of the starkest reminders about the potential election-year consequences of Biden-Harris administration policies that loosened border security and unfroze billions of dollars to Iran, a U.S.-designated state sponsor of terrorism.
And the memo emerged during a period of dramatic terror threat developments. On Wednesday, authorities canceled a series of Taylor Swift concerts in Austria because of concerns about possible terrorism.

Right-wing, pro-Israel advocacy groups and dual US-Israeli citizens have filed a lawsuit challenging the Biden administration’s sanction regime against Israeli murderous Moslems in the West Bank.
The complaint filed in Amarillo, Texas, federal court on Tuesday says the executive order that US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences... issued in February to begin applying financial and immigration sanctions violates the plaintiffs’ free-speech rights under the US Constitution and illegally interferes with the exercise of their religious beliefs.
The plaintiffs include Texans for Israel, a Christian nonprofit, Israeli nonprofit Regavim, the groups’ leaders, and two dual US-Israeli citizens who live in the West Bank and say they oppose the two-state solution favored by the Biden administration.
Biden’s executive order allows federal agencies to impose financial sanctions and visa restrictions against individuals who attack or intimidate Paleostinians or seize their property. The White House in issuing the order said it would "promote peace and security for Israelis and Paleostinians alike."
But the new lawsuit tries to argue that the order more broadly penalizes anyone who opposes the creation of an independent Paleostinian state.
"This is the first and only sanctions regime where an administration has deemed ordinary, peaceful activities and reasonable political positions supported by many Americans as inimical to ’peace’ and therefore sanctionable," the plaintiffs said in a statement.
The ten individuals and ten entities designated in five batches of sanctions levied through the executive order are all accused of involvement in acts of violence in the West Bank, not merely objecting to a two-state solution.
The White House and several federal agencies named as defendants in the lawsuit did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The executive order, issued in February, permits the government to sanction people or entities involved in actions that "threaten the peace, security, or stability of the West Bank," including acts of violence toward civilians, property destruction, or terrorism.
The order’s preamble says those actions "undermine the foreign policy objectives of the United States, including the viability of a two-state solution," but there is no further mention of the topic in the directive’s operative paragraphs.

President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank... last week in Tehran.

[FoxNews] Egypt instructed all of its airlines to avoid Iranian airspace for three hours in the early morning on Thursday amid tension between Israel and Iran.
The NOTAM, a safety notice provided to pilots on Wednesday, said the instruction would be in effect from 0100 to 0400 GMT. It provided no further details as to why the notice was issued.
"All Egyptian carriers shall avoid overflying Tehran (Flight Information Region). No flight plan will be accepted overflying such territory," the notice said, referring to the three-hour period specified.
Egypt's civil aviation ministry later confirmed on Wednesday the notice was intended to reduce flight-safety risks in light of a notification it received from Iranian authorities.
"Military exercises will be conducted over Iranian airspace on Aug. 7 from 11:30 to 14:30 and from 4:30 to 7:30 on Aug. 8 Tehran time," the statement said.

The Iranians themselves realised this after the liquidation, when the guards were seen on security camera footage on the day of the liquidation moving stealthily in the hallway towards the room where Haniyeh planned to stay, opening the door with a key and entering the room.
Three minutes later the guards (who were offered a six-figure sum each as well as immediate relocation to a northern European country) were captured on camera calmly leaving the room, going down the stairs towards the main entrance of the building, leaving and then getting into a black car. The guard at the parking lot checkpoint recognised them and opened the gate without asking any questions. So all the arrests — or non-arrests of people aiding the authorities in their inquiries — will fail to catch the culprits? How humiliating for said authorities.
Reports have suggested that the device was placed in Haniyeh’s room weeks or months before the earth-shattering kaboom. This is wrong. Security cameras show it was placed on the day of the earth-shattering kaboom, at 4:23 pm - some nine hours before it was activated when Haniyeh entered his room. The explosion, which was set off remotely by a robot, took place after midnight, at exactly 01:37am local time.
To prevent possible detection, the Mossad planted a flat brick explosive, 3 inches wide by 6 inches long, that was fastened to the bottom of the bed. To minimise harming innocent civilians, they used a bomb known for its precision which targeted only Haniyeh’s room. As a result, only one specific area of the building was damaged (see the image on this page).

Mossad then sent its own agents to visit the area regularly to supply the operational logistics, map every street and alleyway, identify potential escape routes and check the building’s security measures. But the agents encountered difficulties when arriving in the area. The guest house was perched on a hill and surrounded by a forest of towering trees, which made it very difficult to observe the building clearly. But Israeli improvisation and creativity then kicked in. Five agents dressed themselves in green clothing and simply climbed the trees closest to the building while camouflaged by the green colour of the trees. Now the view was clear for them.

Their role was to report as soon as Haniyeh arrived at the building, having memorised his car’s colour and license plate number. At that moment the bomb operator detonated a kaboom that shook the entire structure. Haniyeh was killed immediately. His bodyguard, Wasim Abu Shaaban, was critically injured and subsequently died after heavy bleeding. When they discovered that members of the IRGC were involved, they were not surprisingly enraged. The next day, when they threatened to inflict serious punishment on Israel, this was as much to do with the humiliation as because of the death of a senior Hamas official they were hosting.
