They said what they meant, and they meant what they said. The Taliban are a distillation of all that is wrong with the Pashtuns, and nothing of what is right.
[8am] Local sources in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... have reported a distressing incident where the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... subjected a man to physical assault and detainment. The reason cited for their actions was that the man’s wife was wearing a mantou, a loose-fitting coat worn by women.
According to these sources, the man was apprehended on Sunday, July 23, near Herat city’s Malik Gate by the Taliban’s morality police.
The detained individual endured three hours of confinement inside a container, as reported by the sources.
Ever since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, they have imposed strict and oppressive measures on women’s rights. Recently, in this province, they enforced a new set of rules mandating women to wear a chadar or burqa.
Moreover, the group has also issued instructions to taxi drivers in Herat, forbidding them from transporting women who are not wearing a chador or burqa.
This incident highlights the harsh reality of the situation in Afghanistan under the Taliban’s rule and the grave implications it holds for women’s freedoms and human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... in the region.

There is something else going on in Afghanistan to keep these clowns in power. The Taliban were unpopular invaders the first time backed by a meddling neighbor. Pakistan would seem to no longer be paying the Taliban. There is no current hostile invader. The Taliban are brutalizing locals in a tribal society. My expectation was that the tribes would begin to disappear these guys.

[8am] Local sources in Kunduz report that the Taliban ...Arabic for students... have killed a former military officer in the province.
According to reports on Monday, July 24, the former officer was identified as Ali Ahmad Qate. He had previously served as a traffic police officer in Kunduz.
Sources add that without any apparent reason, the Taliban arrested him from his home yesterday and delivered his lifeless body to his family this morning.
As of now, the Taliban have not provided any explanation regarding the detention and killing of this former military officer.
It is worth noting that in recent days, the Taliban have been actively detaining former military personnel.
...and torturing or murdering them. Their logic is fairly clear.

That’s to me seems very fair, that guy was a traitor, and traitors need to pay someday , all of you know, that I strongly call for the death penalty for American and foreigner ‘’civil servants’’ and their associates that killed Kennedy, engineered 911, and sabotaged and removed President Trump , using the Covid 19 as bio terror holocausting half of a million of Ukrainian,
This people including their families and anyone protecting them need to be executed.
No way that this bunch can get scolded as usual and get free
If that’s is the case assassinations are absolutely justified.

Certainly, there would not be any argument about having trials and hanging people in the US government that facilitated 9-11. There would probably a convenes for a long hard labor sentence for anyone that jazzed votes to put the current moron in the White House. I’m not sure why summary execution of a traffic cop by Pakistani organized hoodlum imports is appropriate. Was he traitorously waving through the used Toyotas? Will the rebels whack all the Taliban approved garbage collectors when they take over? It just ends up being a giant Khmer Rouge sticking mass grave that way.

I don’t care for the Taliban. I have respect for the Afghan people. The same goes for most countries. The people, generally, are not the problem. I most often have issues with leadership. That goes for America as well. If there is to be a Mass grave in Afghanistan let it be filled with Taliban starting from the top down.

POSSIBLE CROSS BORDER ARTILLERY STRIKE IN PAKTIKA – Unverified reports say Pakistani artillery shells fell on a suspected TTP target in Birmal, Paktika. Additional unverified reports suggest that Taliban security forces returned fire. There has been no official confirmation of either action and no reports regarding casualties. Again, this information has yet to be verified.
RECENT BOUT OF FLOODING KILLS OVER 40 AFGHANS – The rains that blanketed the country have caused at least 40 deaths and a similar number of people are reportedly missing. Those are the official numbers and local sources say the number is much higher. More rain is in the forecast for the next 24 hours. Emergency crews were dispatched to a few remote areas but have now found themselves trapped by flooded roads and two landslides.
TALIBAN BEGIN LOBBYING FOR THE SUSPENSION OF TRAVEL BANS – The Taliban’s office in Qatar has reportedly asked the United Nations Security Council to remove travel sanctions on its leaders as the 1 year anniversary of the travel bans approaches. Anonymous sources at the Security Council opined that a suspension of the bans was unlikely given the current dynamics taking place in Afghanistan.
WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME FORCED TO CUT AID TO 8 MILLION IN AFGHANISTAN OVER FUNDING SHORTFALLS – The United Nations agency said it has had to halt aid programs for approximately 8 million Afghans after facing a $1.2 billion dollar shortfall from donors. They have closed down 25 mobile health and nutrition teams. After July 2023, the WFP will only be able to support 5 million Afghans based on the funding available through October of this year. The initial Humanitarian Response Plan called for $4.6 billion dollars in aid and has only received approximately 9% of that number to date
.
NEXT 24 HOURS
MORE RAIN EXPECTED FOR 21 PROVINCES IN AFGHANISTAN – Forecasts are calling for as much as an additional 40mm of rainfall in Afghanistan over the next 24 hours. The additional precipitation is expected to cause significant flooding due to the near-complete saturation of the ground from previous storm systems. Authorities are urging citizens to stay at home and keep a close watch on nearby water sources if they need to evacuate. It is not clear if any emergency management services have been dispatched to assist communities facing the most significant threat.
DURAND LINE TENSIONS – If earlier reports about a possible cross-border artillery duel with Pakistan are correct, the border region could see additional strikes over the coming days. Should the violence escalate, the border may be closed until a ceasefire can be negotiated.
A senior general from the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) has supported the rejection of a proposal to deploy the East African troops to the troubled country.
Lt Gen Yasir Alatta, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudan Armed Forces on Sunday said the army stands opposed to the presence of an East African force tasked with protecting civilians and aid workers.
Sudan has openly accused Kenyan president William Ruto of having business ties with its rival paramilitary group, Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and refuses to cooperate with the quartet group until he is replaced.
Meanwhile, ...back at the dirigible, Cynthia backed into the galley, the barbecue fork held in front of her. Jack! she called. Where the hell are you?... Saudi and US mediators are continuing their efforts to bring the warring parties to commit to ending the war.
General Alatta emphasized that the army’s ultimate goal was to preserve a united Sudan "free from the Janjaweed menace."
"We, as soldiers, do not aspire to govern; rather, the political forces have to reach an agreement and govern the country, but we tell them that Sudan is not a game for every unscrupulous politician, profiteer, and mercenary," he stressed.
The war has entered its 100th day, and the army has deployed infantry forces in Khartoum to launch ground operations against the RSF militiamen. Additionally, the military has established training camps for volunteers in northern, eastern, and central Sudan states.

Note the lack of training camps in the west. That means Darfur is not named. Another indication that the battle being fought pits Nile Arab against African tribals. Also, it is not clear who is offering East African troops? Certainly, it can't be Kenya or Somalia which have problems of their own. Or Djibouti, or Tanzania. Or even Uganda. So who is left in East Africa? Malawi? Mozambique? Eritrea or Ethiopia (each of which has a problem with Somalia)?
[Garowe] At least 20 people were killed in a military training base located in Somalia's capital Mogadishu, in the latest deadly attack targeting members of security forces, who have been fighting al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... Lions of Islam for the last 16 years.
Already, Somalia-based al-Shabaab Lions of Islam have grabbed credit for the attack, which also left dozens of people maimed in the attack targeting the October 14th Brigade, which was named after the deadliest attack in the history of Somalia, which left at least 600 people dead in Somalia.
The bombing on Monday targeted the Jale Siyaad military academy.

"The soldiers were being counted in the queue when the jacket wallahwent kaboom!," Farah said.
In a statement, al-Shabaab claimed to have killed 73 soldiers, wounding over 124 others, but the Lions of Islam have always been exaggerating figures in order to whip emotions.

[Garowe] al-Shabaab ...... the personification of Somali state failure... turbans have seized a strategic village in Somalia, multiple sources have confirmed.
According to sources, al-Shabaab managed to successfully challenge Somali National Army [SNA] at Goofgaduud, a village situated at least 30 kilometers from Baidoa, the regional administrative capital of Southwest state of Somalia.
The seizure came following fighting with Somali government troops, residents said. This happens as AlShabaab began to impose further blockade on key towns in the Federal State, including Baidoa, which hosts 1million IDPs fled from drought. The al-Shabaab blockade affected businesses in the state.
Al-Shabaab had lost a number of strategic towns and the capture of the village could play vital for its bid to continue challenging government troops, foreign troops mainly from African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] and the US Africa Command. The troops have been fighting to liberate several parts which are still under al-Shabaab.
The second phase of operations against the group is projected to completely secure the country from the murderous Moslems, with regional troops expected to also participate in the crackdown. Jubaland and Southwest regional soldiers are currently preparing to take part in the offensive, authorities said.
Due to offensive against the group in Somalia, the turbans are trying to cross over the border to Kenya, triggering surveillance from the East Africa nation along the border. Kenya recalled plans to re-open the border with Somalia, citing increased activities of the group in the northeastern region.
The Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] has established troops about 14 Forward Operating Bases in the northeastern Kenya, which will accommodate more soldiers. al-Shabaab turbans are fighting to topple the fragile UN-backed federal government of Somalia, which has been struggling for stability in the last three decades.

[FoxNews] Climate activists have been wearing thin the public's patience as Letzte Generation continues to block roadways.
A 41-year-old trucker in Germany got into a brutal confrontation with radical climate protesters, dragging them each to the side of the road and later dragging a protester forward using his vehicle.
Climate activists from the Letzte Generation – "The Last Generation" – have been staging protests, blocking major roads and highways and even causing airplane delays. The protesters, who wear a uniform of orange vests, have worn down the public's patience after the frequent delays – some lasting hours.
A trucker's encounter with the activists at a roadway – the Heinrich-Heine-Ring – an intersection in Stralsund used by 20,000 drivers daily went viral. It showed a man emerge from his truck, slam the door and charge at the activists.

Protesters in Iraq set alight the Swedish embassy in Baghdad on Thursday.
The two protesters were from a group that calls itself "Danish Patriots", which held a similar demonstration last week and livestreamed the events on Facebook.
Several thousand Iraqis demonstrated in Baghdad on Saturday over the burnings in the two Nordic countries, in a gathering called by ruling Iraqi parties and gangs, many close to Iran.
The organiser of Monday's demonstration in Copenhagen stomped on the Koran and set it alight in a tin foil tray next to the Iraqi flag on the ground.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini... said on Saturday that people who desecrate the Koran should face the "most severe punishment".

Activists raging against the government’s passage of the first part of its plan to remake the country’s judiciary faced off against police for hours in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Monday night, blocking freeways and promising to ratchet up demonstrations, as politicians vowed to push ahead with the rest of the contentious program. Using mounted police and water cannons, authorities only managed to clear the major Tel Aviv thoroughfare after 1 a.m., though thousands continued to demonstrate at nearby Kaplan junction, where some 15,000 had massed hours earlier in reaction to the government coalition’s contentious "reasonableness" bill being approved on its final two votes. [IsraelTimes] IDF says searching for Paleostinian turbans who carried out attack in flashpoint West Bank town
Paleostinian button men opened fire on a bus carrying Israelis in the West Bank town of Huwara on Monday night, with medics clarifying that no one was injured in the terror attack.
The Israel Defense Forces said it was investigating the attack. Over the past year, several buses have come under fire by Paleostinian button men in the West Bank.
Images from the scene Monday showed at least eight bullet holes across the windows of the bus.
It was unclear how many passengers were on the bus — line 467 between Jerusalem and the settlement of Elon Moreh — at the time of the attack.
The Rescuers Without Borders emergency service said there were no injuries.
The IDF said it was blocking off roads in the area and searching for the button men.
Huwara has long been a flashpoint in the West Bank, thanks to a main thoroughfare running through the town also being used regularly by Israelis to travel to and from settlements. There are plans to build a bypass road for settlers to avoid having to travel through the town, but work on this has dragged on for years.
During the past year, Paleostinian button men have repeatedly targeted military posts, troops operating along the West Bank security barrier, Israeli settlements and civilians on the roads.
Tensions between Israelis and Paleostinians have been high across the West Bank for the past year and a half, with the military carrying out near-nightly raids, amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.
[IsraelTimes] Footage shows bombs planted by Paleostinians detonating close to army bulldozers in Nur Shams, near Tulkarem; army detains 17 suspects across West Bank
Clashes between Paleostinians and Israeli security forces broke out in the West Bank refugee camp of Nur Shams, close to Tulkarem, early Monday morning, with Paleostinian health officials reporting at least 13 maimed.
According to the Paleostinian Authority health ministry, four Paleostinians were hurt by Israeli gunfire, and another nine were hurt by shrapnel. Their conditions were not immediately known.
It was unclear if those maimed by shrapnel were hit by Israeli fire or bombs detonated by Paleostinians.
Footage published by Paleostinian media outlets showed several large IEDs exploding as Israeli military bulldozers made their way through the streets of Nur Shams.
The Israel Defense Forces has used heavily armored D9 bulldozers in West Bank operations to clear streets of hidden explosives, to enable troops to safely enter and carry out arrests.
The IDF said Monday morning that troops had detained 17 wanted Paleostinians, seized weapons, and neutralized bombs during raids across the West Bank overnight.
In a "brigade-level" operation in Nur Shams, the IDF said troops located and destroyed around ten bombs and detained one suspect.
"Exchanges of fire took place in the area and suspects hurled bombs at the forces, who responded with live fire," the IDF said, adding that several suspects were hit.
Fifteen wanted Paleostinians were detained and several firearms were seized in a number of Paleostinian villages in the central and southern West Bank, the IDF said. Another suspect was detained in the Bethlehem area.
Armed festivities also broke out in the Askar refugee camp near the northern West Bank city of Nablus. The IDF said troops returned fire at button men and used riot dispersal means.
The Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy was cited by Paleostinian media as saying two people were maimed by IDF fire in Askar.
Paleostinian media also reported armed festivities with IDF troops in the Jalazone refugee camp, near Ramallah.
There were no immediate reports of injuries among Israeli forces.
Tensions between Israelis and Paleostinians have been high across the West Bank for the past year and a half, with the military carrying out near-nightly raids, amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.
And that is the difference between Bibi Netanyahu and Ehud Barak’s protesting Left — besides the Left rejecting the results of the election that put Bibi in office instead of their boy. When Ehud Barack was PM, he sat with folded hands while the Second Intifada killed Israelis all over the country. Bibi’s policy of arrest raids has been so successful at keeping Israelis safe that even when he was temporarily out of office the leftwing politician who temporarily replaced him continued them at the same pace.
[NPASyria] Hamad left his home in areas under the control of Iranian-backed militias after he and his brothers were threatened because they refused to join Iranian-backed groups. They refused because of the ideological training they would have undergone before being officially recruited.
Hamad al-Nasser, 36, a resident of the town of Abu Kamal in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, moved with his family to the town of Baghuz in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, held by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), after his brothers received several threats to join the Iranian-backed militias and undergo training on the Shiite doctrine. They were arrested for rejecting to change their beliefs and because they criticized the Shiite doctrine in front of a relative who is a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), trying to convince them to join him.
TEMPTATION, EXPLOITATION Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... seeks to change the region demographically through recruiting the youth in Deir ez-Zor, taking advantage of the grim financial status, religious and tribal matters, and those who evade serving in the compulsory military service of the Syrian government forces.
Iran uses all these circumstances to increase the number of its forces of Evil to strengthen its influence and enhance its position as a military force amid the presence of other rivals such as Russia.
Al-Nasser added that his three brothers underwent a two-month-long ideological training. After graduation, recruiters from the IRGC attempted to enroll them into their ranks, but they always refused because they did not like the actions of the militia and preferred not to join gangs.
He said that recently "the threats and pressure were intensified against us. The IRGC patrols started arresting my brothers for ridiculous reasons. All this to pressure them into joining their ranks."
According to activists who spoke to North Press, Iran resorted to recruiters to enlist as many as possible of the youth in Deir ez-Zor into its militias to implement its plans in the region. Iran adopted this policy so that the locals would not stand in the way of its expanding project in Deir ez-Zor, exploiting differences in doctrines to gain the loyalty of the population.
Iran entered Deir ez-Zor at the end of 2017 under the pretense of backing the Syrian government forces against the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS). After the fighting ended, Iran began promoting its ideology and expanding its military influence in the region.
In order not to face local opposition, Iran began attracting sheiks, leaders, and youth of the tribes via religion first. It then exploited the poor living conditions and lack of job opportunities to lure the youth who were wanted by the security apparatuses of the government forces for compulsory and reserve military service.
The locals were devastated and preoccupied by the deteriorating economic conditions caused by the war. Therefore Iran tried to demonstrate itself as the sole savior in the region that would improve the security and economic situation. Iran gradually lured the leaders and influential figures along with the youth and involved them in its colonial project.
RECRUITED TO BE PROTECTED
Ahmad al-Ali, a pseudonym of a murderous Moslem of the Iranian-backed Liwa al-Quds militia, 28, resorted with his family to Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... when fighting first erupted in Deir ez-Zor. After the end of battles in the west of the Euphrates River in Deir ez-Zor, families were allowed to return to their homes in the town of al-Mayadin in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. al-Ali’s family returned to their town, but he remained in Lebanon because he was wanted for compulsory military service.
He told North Press, "A few months after my family returned, a recruiter called Abu Ali al-Qaraani, contacted me, upon my family’s request, to safely transport me to the town via a Hezbollah officer’s car for $500."
After paying the money, he passed from Homs Governorate, central Syria, to Deir ez-Zor and reached his house in the town of al-Mayadin. He said, "Two days later, al-Qaraani asked me to join an Iranian-backed militia for a salary of 250,000 Syrian Pounds (SYP, which equaled more than $100 at the time) to protect me from compulsory military service."
Al-Ali underwent training in the Imam Ali camp for nearly three months, then was transferred to fight with Liwa al-Quds militia.
The youth prefer to join the IRGC and the Iranian-backed militias rather than the government forces for several reasons, including the high salaries offered by Iran compared to those of the government forces. In addition, the Iranian-backed forces of Evil have more influence, and they will not be pursued or oppressed by the government forces.
As soon as they join, the militias fully protect them and their families, and provide housing for them from houses whose owners live outside that region.
[SNASyria] Militants of Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, affiliated with Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka Syrian National Army (SNA), assaulted on Sunday a civilian in the town of Jindires, Afrin region, northwest Syria.
A source told North Press that a military group affiliated with the Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, accused of killing four people of a Kurdish family on Newroz eve, raided a barber shop where a 19-year-old, Nazmi Othman, works with the aim of assassinating him.
On the eve of Newroz, on March 20, the new year that is celebrated by Kurds all over the world, turbans of Ahrar al-Sharqiya carried out a systematic crime in Jindires, shooting to death five civilian Kurds, four from one family — Farah al-Din Othman, 43, Nazmi, 38, Muhammad Nazmi, and Muhammad — and wounding a child, for igniting the Newroz flame, which is a key ritual of celebrating the holiday, in front of their house.
Othman is a relative of the killed four people by the Ottoman Turkish-backed group.
The turbans beat and assaulted Othman after trying to run over him while chanting "this is the price," the source added.
The young man was taken to Akhrabat hospital in the town of Atmeh, north of Idlib, northwest Syria, as he was maimed, according to the source.

A local source told North Press that the Ottoman Turkish border guards assaulted more than 20 people, including women and kiddies, while trying to cross the border next to the village of Hajj Bilal at the town of Jindires, Afrin.
The Ottoman Turkish border guards used steel pipes to beat up the group and detained them for hours before handing them over to the Military Police of the Ottoman Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) in Afrin, the source added.
The source stated that the Military Police taxed each member of the group with 250 Ottoman Turkish liras ($10) in exchange of their freedom. In addition, they forced them to sign documents stipulating that they will not try to cross the border again.
People in northwest Syria take perilous routes to cross the Ottoman Turkish border, with the aim of reuniting with their families or landing a job to secure a living, particularly in light of the poor living conditions in the region.

The Military Police arrested the brigade’s leader, Hussein Abu Ali al-Ageidi, after killing his security guard Shihab al-Nuaimi.
He added that the raid, which included three headquarters of different SNA factions, was carried out under the supervision of Ottoman Turkish intelligence under the pretext of searching for drug pushers.

[IsraelTimes] Tehran alleges that a group controlled by Israeli spy agency’s cells in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... was also planning attacks against civilian gatherings
Iran’s intelligence ministry announced Monday that it had disbanded a major network allegedly sponsored by Israel’s Mossad spy agency, which it claimed had planned large-scale acts of sabotage in the country.
The agents operating inside the Islamic Theocratic Republic were supposedly coordinated and financed by Mossad "centers" located in Denmark and the Netherlands, and were planning operations in six different Iranian provinces.
Among their purported targets was the grave of Qassem Soleimani , former commander of the powerful Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who was killed in a US air strike in Baghdad in 2020 and is buried in his Iranian birthplace of Kerman.
The network had also allegedly planned to attack popular gathering places and ceremonies during the Islamic month of Muharram, which began on July 19 and includes the Shiite holiday of Ashura, which falls this year on July 28.
Other targets included "fueling stations, power pylons and natural gas plants to disrupt domestic and export supplies," according to the statement issued by the intelligence ministry. The ministry claimed it had also seized 43 "highly destructive bombs," including "remote-controlled ones to be detonated in processions and ceremonies."
The statement also alleged that the Mossad-backed agents had carried out test operations in Denmark and the Netherlands to assess their capabilities, including "hurling Molotov cocktails at governmental buildings, setting fire to banks, ATM machines, buses, communications antennas, etc."
Tehran frequently claims to have foiled Mossad operations in the country, but the veracity of such claims is unclear.
Last December, the Islamic Theocratic Republic executed four people accused of working for the Mossad, while three others received lengthy prison sentences.
Tehran and Jerusalem have long accused each other of espionage activities and plots to sabotage critical infrastructure, part of a lengthy shadow war between them.

I believe that Mossad has more important things to do other than take apart someone's tomb.
