[NY Post] The rifle-wielding suspect who donned a bulletproof vest before allegedly shooting dead five men and injuring two children in Philadelphia has been identified as a Black Lives Matter supporter who shared gun-toting memes on social media.
Kimbrady Carriker, 40, was nabbed shortly after the bloodshed in the city’s Kingsessing neighborhood Monday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing sources.
Cops haven’t yet publicly disclosed the suspect’s identity.
On his Facebook page, Carriker posted two pictures of him wearing a bra, a women’s top and earrings with his hair braided long in March, three months before the alleged shooting.
The poor man does not make an attractive — or womanly — woman.
He also regularly posts about supporting Black Lives Matter, including supporting workers who protested in the Strike For Black Lives in July 2020.
Police said the 40-year-old male suspect was armed with a rifle, pistol, extra magazines, a police scanner and bullet proof vest when he fatally shot four men on the street and then chased and killed a fifth man inside a home.
A 2-year-old boy was shot four times in the legs, while a 13-year-old boy also suffered to gunshot wounds to his legs, according to cops.
The gunman had fired at police as they chased him for several blocks before he eventually surrendered in an alley, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said.
Carriker also described himself as a computer engineer, and showed an interest in guns, posting pictures and memes of people with firearms.
One image featured a person holding a pistol with the caption: "Wherefore art thou opposition so I may slide upon thine block and runneth down on thee."
I’m sure that sounds better in the original vicious idiot.
Another one of his posts showed footage of several kids firing off rounds from a rifle.
Mercutio gave us the link to a Daily Mail article with more photos including those of the miscreant’s male phase in comments yesterday. He is also not a very attractive man.
[AMUtv] Five citizens of Afghanistan were killed in a shooting by Iranian forces along the border between the two countries on Saturday night, a Taliban ...Arabic for students... front man said.
The incident occurred when individuals attempted to illegally cross the border to Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and were met with gunfire from Iranian border forces as reported by Taliban.
A woman was among those killed in the incident, he said.
State-run media outlet, Tasnim, quoted an Iranian border official, Reza Shirawzhan, as saying that the photos shared on social media about the incident are not true and that the individuals have not been killed by Iranian border forces.

TALIBAN CONFIRMS AFGHAN REFUGEES KILLED ON IRANIAN BORDER, IRAN DENIES CLAIM – A controversy had erupted between the two countries over claims that 5 Afghan refugees were killed by Iranian border forces when they attempted to cross the border illegally. Photos of the bodies of those reportedly killed were questioned by skeptics as the depictions appeared to have been staged. Iran immediately dismissed the claims and attributed them to ‘those bent on mischief’. The Taliban did not initially comment on the incident but appeared to accept the accusations on Sunday. A source in Kandahar said the Taliban were having trouble finding out what happened to the bodies and a team from the GDI was quietly attempting to locate any family/friends of the alleged victims.

UNITED NATIONS UNVEILS NEW STRATEGIC PLAN FOR AFGHANISTAN – Facing one of the more difficult humanitarian and human rights issues in the world, the UN has redesigned its strategies for future cooperation and has been forced to prioritize the most vulnerable while recognizing the challenges put in its path by the Taliban. To its credit, the UN has placed the onus for the delivery of these programs on the Taliban and has not capitulated on its demands to allow its female workforce to administer the projects.

During the planned operation, the elite forces regained control of El-Haji and El-Dhigtar from al-Shabaab as confirmed by the commander of the 7th division of the army.
Mahdi Iman, the commander said Gorgor troops unearthed landmines and defused them on the spot, averting a kaboom aimed at targeting the military personnel in the operation.
He added that Gorgor along with local clan militia will continue the crackdown on the holy warriors, who suffered defeats in recent military operation conducted in Galmudug ...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth... The situation was tense due to the military movement in the small villages around Gal’ad town, which are under al-Shabaab control with presence of hundreds of fighters.
The Gorgor battalion of the Somali National Army unearthed explosives following an operation Tuesday morning in Gal’ad district in Galgadud region.
The battalion said in a statement its forces unearthed the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) buried on the road in Eel Haji and Eel Dhiigtaan areas of Gala’d district.

Al-Shabaab is known to plant IEDs targeting security forces in areas under their control.
[LibyaReview] The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) announced that Libyan patrols have intercepted 601 migrants colonists within a week, and returned them to Libya.
It said on Monday that the migrants colonists, including women and kiddies, were "intercepted and returned to Libya between 25 June and 1 July 2023."
"So far this year, a total of 8,496 migrants colonists have been intercepted and returned to Libya," the organization said, adding that "780 migrants colonists have died and another 944 are missing at sea off the Libyan coast."
According to the IOM, the first quarter of 2023 was the ’deadliest’ since 2017, with 441 migrants colonists deaths along the Mediterranean route.
Notably, the EU delivered two more patrol boats to the Libyan Coast Guard in a ceremony in Italia, on Thursday. The step was a part of the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... ’s executive project of Support to integrated Border and Migration Management in Libya.
The project aims to "strengthen the capacity of relevant Libyan authorities in the areas of border and migration management, including border control and surveillance, addressing smuggling and trafficking of human beings, search and rescue at sea and in the desert."
The EU delivered "two Currubia Class" vessels which were former Italian Finance Guard patrol boats, according to Radio Radicale journalist, Sergio Scandura. It was heavily criticised by a United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... report released in late March, which documented the collusion of the high-ranking staff of the Libyan Coast Guard with traffickers and smugglers, according to EurActiv news website.
According to the report, the Coast Guard "are reportedly connected to militia groups, in the context of the interception and deprivation of liberty of migrants colonists."
[LibyaReview] Armed groups have blocked the main Coast Road on the western coast. This is a result of the arrest of wanted persons by the Attorney General’s Office.
Local sources said that the Coastal Road to the al-Zawiya refinery was closed with dirt berms by the button men. In addition to blocking the road between al-Jamil and Zuwara, against the backdrop of this operation.
The sources pointed out that there are attempts by a local sheikh from al-Zawiya to release the arrested person in Zuwara, who was trying to depart using the Ras Jadir port.
Safety in Libya’s capital, Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... is continuously deteriorating, with threats of kidnapping and murder a daily occurrence for residents.
Over the years, kidnappings, arrests, and liquidations have increased substantially in western Libya. This is evident in the repeated statements of the Ministry of Interior, about the arrest of gangs and individuals involved in the kidnapping and extortion of expatriate workers.
In late October, the Head of the Zaher al-Jabal Police Station, Abdel-Salam Abdullah Abdel-Nabi, was assassinated by unknown assailants. Just days before, a policeman was assassinated in the same city. Despite this happening in full view of everyone, those at the helm of power do not move a finger to identify the perpetrators. The security authorities do not move to arrest them, or announce their names.
In October, Salah Abdel-Salam, the former Executive Director of the Civil Society Commission of the Libyan Presidential Council, was kidnapped in central Tripoli.
The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) said that there are reports of security forces being involved in the kidnapping of Abdel-Salam. There has been no contact with him since the incident, and the identity of the security agency that kidnapped him has not been established. So far, his fate remains unknown.
Libya ranked fourth in the Arab world, and twenty in the world, among the countries with the highest levels of organised crime, according to the report of the Global Initiative to Combat Crime (GLOBAL INITIATIVE).
In its latest report on Libya, the foundation based its indicators on several factors, most notably human trafficking, money laundering, drug trafficking, crimes related to animal and plant life, human smuggling, and arms trade.
According to the report, Libya ranked last in the world in terms of the degree of resilience against organised crime. This reflects the inability of the state to confront the scourge of crime.
Murder has been a weekly occurrence, throughout the country. The number of extrajudicial killings in 2022 has surpassed 173 people. This is especially due to the proliferation of weapons and the inability of the security services to monopolise the possession of weapons.
Libya ranked first in North Africa, third in the Arab world after Syria and Somalia, and 25th in the world according to the crime index of the database encyclopaedia, Numbeo.
Libya recorded a 60.5% crime rate, which is considered high, while recording a 39% safety rate. During the past eight years, the crime rate in Libya was lowest in 2017 at 54%, and the worst in 2015 at 70%.
[HodhodYemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... News] A number of militia members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), were maimed on Tuesday by an attack with bombs in Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... province, southern Yemen.
According to local sources, an improvised bomb (IED) went kaboom! and targeted a military vehicle belonging to the STC militia in Wadi Omran, east of Mudiyah district, leaving some injures.
Recently, al-Qaeda attacks have returned to the scene in Abyan and Shabwah provinces after relative calm among Saudi-backed gangs against UAE-backed factions.
UAE-affiliated factions have been facing fierce resistance in Abyan province since the STC militia announced the launch of "Operation Shaham al-Sharq" to expel Saudi-backed factions ( Islah and al-Qaeda bad boys) from the province in early August.
[KhaamaPress] At least 11, 434 asylum seekers have entered the United Kingdom using boat through the English Channel over the past six months according to UK government statistics.
In June alone, 3,824 refugees entered the UK, an unprecedented increase in the number of asylum seekers in the past five years, Sky News reported.
The news channel added that 155 immigrants colonists in three separate boats entered the United Kingdom on Friday.
According to the latest reports, the entry of refugees to the UK through the English Channel has increased compared to past years.
Last year, 3140 immigrants colonists entered the UK after crossing the English Channel. This figure was about 2177 in 2021, 727 in 2020, and only four in 2018.
The arrival of refugees to the UK has once more heated the immigration debate among the members of the right-wing Conservative Party, and now British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is under pressure from his own party for failing to deliver on his promise to stop the arrival of refugees by boat.
While opposing the flexible immigration system of the UK, right-wing politicians have asked Rishi Sunak to minimize migration to the United Kingdom.
Lee Anderson, the Deputy Chairman of the British Conservative Party, referred to the economic cultural consequences of migration and said that reducing the number of refugees coming to the country is an important part of the party’s request.
"As members of the Conservative Party, we believe in democracy and governing for the British people, not non-British people," said a Conservative Party PM.
Members of the ruling Conservative Party have presented a new 12-point plan to the Prime Minister, which in part emphasizes ending temporary visas for workers and limiting the number of refugees allowed to stay in the UK.
[Breitbart] At least 1,200 buildings have been burnt, attacked, or looted across France in a week of nightly violence which the head of a business group says has caused at least one billion Euros ($1.1 billion) of damage.
And all because 17 year old French-Algerian known wolf Nahel Merzouk refused to stay pulled over while joy riding without a license with a couple of no doubt equally disreputable buddies in an entirely questionable Polish Mercedes, getting himself killed in the process.
The chief of The Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF, Movement of French Businesses) Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux says hundreds of his members have been attacked over the course of the last week’s rioting, including 200 shops, 300 bank branches, and 250 tobacconists, which appear to have been a particular target for looting in many cities.
While the exact cost of these rioter-set fires and looting raids is not yet known, the running total so far is already “more than a billion Euros”, Bézieux tells Le Parisien. Not yet calculated as compounding that cost, the business confederation boss said, was the fact the frightening footage of rioting has been broadcasted around the world which will damage France’s reputation as a tourist destination.
Indeed, tourists were among those caught up in the riots as they happened, with China’s Consulate General complaining to the French government that a tour bus carrying Chinese tourists was attacked, reports Reuters. Windows were smashed, injuring some on board and footage taken from onboard went viral. As previously reported at Breitbart, tourists are sensitive to clear signs that cities like Paris don’t offer a safe holiday destination, with tourist numbers falling over crime and terrorism.
While the French Interior Ministry has not yet put a hard number on the total number of buildings burnt, looted, or otherwise damaged in the unrest of the past week, the government has put the figure at over 1,000. Counting figures given by MEDEF for business premises and government figures for state buildings including 254 police stations, 243 schools — including 60 sustaining significant damage — and several town halls it appears the figure is easily over 1,250 buildings.
This, of course, doesn’t count the enormous number of vehicles burnt, including private cars, trucks, and public transit buses, which after seven nights stands at 5,821.
[Breitbart] The existence of a masked gang of young men tying up rioters in one town is discussed in French language publications, but the mayor insists no such thing exists and tells locals to call the police if they witness unrest.
Witness accounts of a so-called "brigade anticasseur" (anti-thug brigade) in the port town of Lorlent,
...which oddly enough has not previously appeared in the Rantburg archives...
Brittany are reported by local newspaper Le Télégramme. In addition to what is reported by members of the public to the paper, a journalist for the publication claims to have seen a group of between 20 and 30 "young, hooded men" wearing balaclavas and gloves performing unofficial arrests.
Using zip-ties to restrain alleged rioters, the men are said to have then handed their captures onto the regular police on Friday night as well as having been seen putting out fires. Described as strongly physically built, fast-moving, and proceeding in a tightly-packed group, a report in Ouest La Belle France says one member of the group told a journalist that he couldn’t reveal their identities but that "we are on the good side" and that the group was a spontaneous meeting of friends to protect the city-centre.
The paper claims to have witnessed the group arresting a rioter thought to have vandalised a local business, restraining the individual with "visibly well-honed technique", as well as punching a rioter in the face. While coppers on the scene talking to the paper say they don’t know who the group are, they are welcoming of the help.
One officer is reported to have said to Le Télégramme: "We let it happen at the start of the evening, because it relieved us".
Local station J’aime Radio claims to have spoken to members of the group on patrol again two nights later, interviewing them anonymously. One who spoke to the station said at first a group of friends decided they wished to stand side-by-side with police but not get involved, but eventually having seen how overwhelmed the small number of officers were becoming compared to the weight of rioters, they felt obliged to get involved.
When asked by the interviewer if the group had any "far-right" connections, a woman replied that: "no, we are just people who want to save La Belle France, because La Belle France is going to ruin". She further added that it was their belief the killing of an Algerian-heritage teen by a police officer last week is just being used as an excuse for rioting and looting by youths.
A man added "we are patriots who love La Belle France" and that if rioters only had trouble with the police, they could understand that, but the attacks on private businesses for looting underlined the true cause of the violence. He said it was unacceptable to see a small business owner, who may have invested his whole life of savings, and all his energy, see his hard work "go up in smoke" because of looters.
Several outlets including Ouest La Belle France, Telegram and Le Figaro all point out that the town of Lorlent is home to a military base but do not go so far as to definitely assert the brigade’s members are off-duty Marines.
If they aren’t in uniform there’s no way of knowing, n’est çe pas?
A front man for the Maritime Commandos force stationed at the base is reported to have denied any knowledge of their people being involved.
Despite journalists from several newspapers reporting directly on the activities of the brigade anticasseurs, the mayor of Lorlent moved quickly to dismiss speculation, insisting the vigilantes didn’t, in fact, exist at all. Centre-right UDI party mayor Fabrice Loher said: "In response to a rumour: no, there is no "militia" working alongside the police! Our citizens are called to call... to report any public order issues."
Generally, rioters using the death of a teenager in a Gay Paree suburb last Tuesday as a pretext for violence and looting have been able to carry on without interruption from the rest of French society, and even the French government was relatively slow in deploying the police in force. While there were 7,000 officers on patrol the first evening of rioting, it took days to reverse the trend of soaring violence with an eventual deployment of 45,000 officers a night, which is still ongoing.
While there were more festivities, fires, and arrests on Monday night, numbers are considerably down on the peak of violence on Thursday and Friday. According to French Interior Ministry figures, there have been 5,821 car fires and well over 1,000 buildings damaged including 254 cop shoppes and 243 schools, including 60 which took significant damage.
In the now seven nights of violence there have been 2,426 arrests.

They restrain the rioters with zip ties, OK, but they must be exercising a great deal of restraint on themselves if that's all they do.

Agreed. And then the Frogs will dismiss the rioters, who'll riot again, and then they'll all be deaders the next time around. Ship them all back to Algeria and maybe this shit doesn't happen the next time around.

Curious and curiouser. Historically the Bretons, and Lorient is in Brittany, have been a distinct subculture from 'metropolitan France'. The natives could be showing their 'displeasure' at Algerian and/or Black Block hijinks.
Alternatively it could be a RAB-like phenomena(?). per Wikipedia: Naval Commandos (Commando Marine): the special forces of the French Navy. Accordingly, it is one of the most selective units among the French armed forces, equivalent in their mission and affiliation to Navy SEALs or British Special Boat Service. Five out of the six existing naval commandos[38] are based in Lanester, just across the Scorff river from Lorient. The Naval Fusilier & Commando Training School is also based here.

No, I had it wrong. Not the legion. Per a friend on the continent I was informed that "The events tookplace in Lorient, home of the Commandos-Marine (Navy Commandos, basically Navy Special Forces) and the Fusiliers-Marins (Naval Infantry). Nothing to do with the Foreign Legion."

It would be interesting to know the Soros take on the riots. If he is funding BLM equivalent groups against the Macron government, it would be to promote the need for an eventual crackdown and permanent martial law.

”Pay attention to meeeeee!” sez Hamas. So they did.
[Jpost] The rocket fire is the first rocket fire from Gaza since Operation Shield and Arrow in May.
The IDF struck the Gaza Strip early Wednesday morning after five rockets were fired from the Strip toward the Sderot area in southern Israel on Tuesday night, just hours after the IDF withdrew its forces from Jenin.
All five rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome. A house in Sderot was hit by shrapnel from one of the rockets, according to the Sderot Municipality. No injuries were reported.
A site in the northern Gaza Strip near Beit Lahia and a site west of Gaza City were hit by IAF airstrikes, according to Palestinian reports. The IDF stated that it struck an underground facility used by Hamas's chemical division to manufacture weapons, as well as a Hamas site for the manufacture of raw materials for rockets.
"This attack constitutes an injury to the ability of the terrorist organization Hamas to strengthen and arm itself," said the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. "The terrorist organization Hamas bears responsibility for what is happening in the Gaza Strip and is the one who will pay for the security violations against the State of Israel."

[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators refuse officers’ orders to lower Paleostinian flags, leading to scuffles and arrests for disturbing public order, police say
Police arrested seven people on Tuesday in Haifa at a protest against the Israeli counter-terror operation in the West Bank city of Jenin.
Dozens of demonstrators at the rally in the mixed Arab-Jewish northern city chanted against Israel, calling the country a "terror state," and waved Paleostinian flags.
Police ordered the protesters to put down the Paleostinian flags, but they refused, leading to festivities between the two sides and to the arrests.
Police said they had ordered the removal of the flags because the banners would likely lead to a "serious disturbance to the public." Officers also claimed that the protesters had attacked them after the request.
The police force under far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has increasingly cracked down on Paleostinian flags, although waving them remains legal.
The protest took place in Haifa’s German Colony neighborhood, a central part of the coastal city.
Police said the arrests had been for disturbing public order, obstructing police and assaulting officers.
Among those arrested was actor Saleh Bakri, who is the son of Mohammad Bakri, the director of the film "Jenin, Jenin." The widely discredited documentary film falsely alleged that the IDF massacred civilians in Jenin during the Second Intifada.
Dozens also protested in Tel Aviv against the Jenin operation. Knesset members Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassif of the predominantly Arab Hadash-Ta’al party were in attendance. Protesters said eggs were thrown at them during the rally.
"The murderous incursion into Jenin and the terrible attack in Tel Aviv have the same source — the criminal occupation," Cassif said. A terrorist maimed seven people in Tel Aviv earlier Tuesday, including a pregnant woman who lost her unborn child.
Other Arab Israeli politicians have also harshly denounced the operation in Jenin.
Dozens also protested against the operation in Haifa and Jaffa on Monday. The protesters carried signs that said, "From the Negev to the Galilee, with our Paleostinian people."
Such a clever change from “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” No doubt everyone will be as fooled as I was.
[IsraelTimes] Netanyahu says operation in West Bank city isn’t a one-off; Paleostinian corpse count rises to 12 amid renewed festivities in the area
Israeli military forces began to withdraw from the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday night, after a 44-hour-long major operation.
Paleostinian media outlets reported sporadic festivities with Israeli troops as they left the city. A military source said that some of the forces were already out of the area.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that Israel’s major military operation in Jenin was coming to a close, while vowing that it would not be the last raid.
"At this moment we are completing the mission, and I can say our widescale action in Jenin is not a one-time thing," Netanyahu said during a visit to the Salem checkpoint, some 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from Jenin.
"We will continue [to operate] as necessary to root out terrorism. We will not allow Jenin to go back to being a hotbed of terror," he added.
Israel launched the major operation early Monday to crack down on what it says is a hotbed of terror in the city. A number of attacks on Israelis in recent years have been carried out by Paleostinians from the area, and observers say the Paleostinian Authority has little control on the ground.
The Israel Defense Forces’ operation has focused on a local wing of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terror group known as the Jenin Battalion, as well as other smaller gangs in the city and refugee camp.
The operation continued on Tuesday following a mostly uneventful night that saw Paleostinian button men choosing not to fight Israeli forces, signaling the approaching end to the campaign.
The Paleostinian Authority health ministry said a man, named by Paleostinian media as Abdel Rahman Saabneh, was fatally shot in the head during festivities with Israeli troops in Jenin on Tuesday afternoon. Another unnamed man was killed and two others were maimed in renewed festivities during the evening hours, the ministry said.
The deaths brought the toll of the IDF’s operation in Jenin to 12. Paleostinian health officials said at least 100 others were maimed, including 20 listed at death's door, during Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s and in festivities with Israeli forces the previous day.
All of the slain Paleostinians were involved in the fighting, but there were some noncombatants among the maimed, according to the IDF.
Also Tuesday night, Paleostinian media outlets claimed the IDF carried out an airstrike in Jenin, resulting in several casualties. No further details were immediately available.
Over 1,000 IDF troops were involved in the campaign, which appeared to be the largest in the West Bank in some 20 years.
Speaking alongside Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Jenin "in the past two years had become a factory for terror. In the past two days, this ended."
"We cut off the weapons manufacturing process, captured thousands of bombs, destroyed dozens of production sites, workshops and explosives labs," he said.
Gallant said the military will ensure it can operate freely against terror in the city. "We will reach a situation where we can move everywhere... with a squad and not an entire brigade."
The IDF gave some news hounds a tour of Jenin on Monday, as D9 bulldozers had been ripping up roads in the refugee camp to ensure no roadside kabooms are hidden in the area, and to flatten makeshift roadblocks placed by Paleostinian button men.
"There was intelligence information here about explosives under [the road], we didn’t do this in the entire camp, only in specific areas where we knew explosives were placed," IDF front man Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said.
The IDF said troops located and destroyed at least 11 improvised bombs hidden along roads in the Jenin refugee camp on Tuesday.
Operatives of terror groups "are planting IEDs and bombs on the roads in the refugee camp and in the city, in a civilian environment. This poses a threat to the security forces who use the roads in counterterrorism activities and to innocent people who also use them," the IDF said in a statement.
The IDF said that since the early hours of Monday, troops had questioned over 300 Paleostinian suspects, though only 30 of them were taken in for additional questioning.
The military operation began shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday with a series of airstrikes against multiple targets in the city, including a joint war room shared by various gangs in the city.
Throughout the campaign, the IDF said, troops located and demolished at least eight weapon storage sites, six explosives labs with hundreds of primed devices, three war rooms used by Paleostinian button men to observe Israeli forces, and other "terror infrastructure." The IDF said it had also seized 24 assault rifles, 8 handguns and dozens of bullets.
Troops also carried out some 20 dronezaps against various targets in the refugee camp.
[IsraelTimes] An Israeli soldier was killed after being shot in the West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday evening, shortly before Israeli forces began to withdraw from the area, nearly two days into a major operation. The Israel Defense Forces said the soldier was treated at the scene, before being taken to a hospital in Israel, where he was declared dead. He was not immediately named.
The IDF did not immediately elaborate on the circumstances of the incident, or whether the soldier was hit by Paleostinian gunfire or so-called "friendly fire."
There were other sporadic festivities between Paleostinian button men and Israeli troops as the latter slowly left the West Bank city later on Tuesday night. The withdrawal was still ongoing during the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday.
The IDF said it carried out an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... against Paleostinian button men stationed at a cemetery on the outskirts of Jenin, who "posed a threat to security forces as they left the refugee camp."
Paleostinian media outlets reported several casualties in the strike. Their conditions were not immediately known.
[ZH] The US Navy's Fifth Fleet has announced that early Wednesday Iranian naval vessels attempted to seize two oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz, which included firing shots at one of them.
The US Navy said it responded and prevented the seizures. "The Iranian navy did make attempts to seize commercial tankers lawfully transiting international waters," Cmdr. Tim Hawkins, spokesman for the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, confirmed in a statement. "The U.S. Navy responded immediately and prevented those seizures."
It was only the second tanker which was fired upon during the incident, leaving no casualties or major damage.
The Associated Press described the tanker which was fired upon as US managed, though Bahamas-flagged and Greek-owned:
Ambrey, a maritime intelligence service, said the tanker that was fired upon was a Bahamas-flagged, Greek-owned, U.S. managed crude oil tanker transiting from the United Arab Emirates to Singapore. It said the firing of shots happened 28 nautical miles northeast of Muscat, the capital of Oman.
The US Navy has further described that in total Iran seized at least five commercial vessels over the course of the last two years, and in addition there's been several harassment incidents of foreign ships reported.
In April, elite Iranian commandos raided a US-bound oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman, swooping in on a helicopter. That tanker was Chinese-owned, and bound for Houston. But Tehran has sought to justify its actions by citing recent instances of Washington seizing its own oil on the high seas.
Currently, there's a move in US Congress to toughen US action against Iranian 'illegal' crude exports:
Several US senators backed the Biden administration's move to seize Iranian oil tankers at Panama Canal, calling for more measures to stop export of Iran’s crude.
Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) told Iran International’s Arash Aalaei he "applauds" the seizure and he "hopes they'll have many more."
He added that this is a message to Iranians warning them that they cannot ultimately divert their oil and violate embargoes imposed on their oil trade. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) told us that he supports the Biden administration's seizure of Suez Rajan tanker carrying Iranian crude oil, lauding it as "a very strong move."

[NPASyria] On Tuesday, four people, including a mother and her two daughters, were killed in missile shelling by Syrian opposition of the town of Urum al-Kubrah in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo.
The state-run SANA News Agency said, "Today’s morning, terrorist organizations deploy in the western countryside of Aleppo attacked with shells safe areas in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo, one of the shells fell on the village of Tadil of Urum al-Kubrah."
The shelling resulted in "the martyrdom of four people, including a mother, her two daughters, and their uncle, while the father sustained injuries," according to SANA.
Additionally, the shelling caused material losses and damages in houses and possessions.
Areas of northwest Syria in the countryside of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, and Latakia witnessed an almost daily military escalation and mutual shelling between the government forces and the opposition, leaving casualties of both sides.
Although the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is subject to a Russian-Ottoman Turkish ceasefire agreement signed in March 2020, the area witnesses frequent mutual bombardment between Syrian government forces and opposition factions accompanied by Russian warplanes’ flight despite the entry of the ceasefire into force.
In March 2020, Russia and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... reached an agreement in Moscow that stipulated a ceasefire, the establishment of a safe corridor, and the conduct of joint patrols on the M4/Aleppo-Latakia Highway.

[NPASyria] Four members of a single family were killed on Tuesday in artillery shelling by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... (HTS) targeting residential areas in the Syrian government-held town of Urem al-Kubra, in western Aleppo.
A source told North Press that "the shelling was carried by HTS from positions near the village of Kafr Nouran, west of Aleppo."
He added that the shelling targeted several neighborhoods and villages in the town of Urem al-Kubra, resulting in the death of four members of a single family and the injury of another person.
Among the victims were two girls, Ranim and Ghada al-Issa, and their mother Duha al-Naas. The shelling also killed the girls’ uncle and injured their father. He was taken by the Syrian Arab Red Islamic Thingy to Urem Hospital.
The source pointed out that the Syrian government forces responded to the attack by shelling the HTS-held town of Darat Izza, west of Aleppo, which resulted in the injury of three people.
[NPASyria] In light of the recent Ottoman Turkish escalation, Muhammad fears losing the state of security her city enjoys, she is afraid of the Ottoman Turkish threats which will only bring woes to the region.
The woman rejects any form of war or occupation of her city, Manbij in northern Syria, because these attacks will have catastrophic effects on the entire society. She believes that chaos and instability pave the way for terrorist acts.
Asia Muhammad, 57, a resident of Manbij, said that she rejects the ongoing Ottoman Turkish threats against the city and the region in general; because "they have been suffering from the occupation for more than ten years."
Since the start of the latest Ottoman Turkish escalation, the fear of indiscriminate bombing has haunted the residents of Manbij.
They fear that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... will carry out its threats, as they believe that the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) sleeper cell will take advantage of the circumstances to move and attack Manbij again.
On August 15, 2016, the Manbij Military Council and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the support of the US-led Global Coalition, expelled ISIS from Manbij.
The areas of northeastern Syria include several prisons where ISIS fighters are detained, and they are estimated at thousands, most notably al-Shaddadi prison and al-Sinaa prison that is located in Guweiran neighborhood in Hasakah, northeast Syria.
On Jan. 20, 2022, the group’s sleeper cells carried out a series of attacks on al-Sinaa prison, where thousands of ISIS members were held, to set free their fellow inmates.
The prison attack sparked a 10-day battle between the SDF and ISIS faceless myrmidons and caused a mass exodus of residents of the neighborhoods of Guweiran, al-Zuhour, al-Nashwa, and Villat al-Hamr to the central and northern neighborhoods of Hasakah.
On Jan. 30 of the same year, the SDF announced taking full control of al-Sinaa prison.
On Jan. 31, the General Command of the SDF uncovered the toll of casualties of the ISIS attack, 374 ISIS faceless myrmidons were killed, and 121 people, including 77 employees and workers of the prison, 40 SDF members and four civilians, were killed.
Muhammad, who fears the Ottoman Turkish repeated statements that talk about targeting Manbij, feels tired of wars, destruction and displacement.
She believes that Turkey’s recent threats against the region are "occupation of other parts of our lands, on the other hand, it gives an opportunity for ISIS to move and seize other areas."
These threats increase the chance for the ISIS return which in turns increases the fears of the residents of Manbij in light of what they had experienced during ISIS control era.
Like most of Manbij’s resident, Roqaiya Muhammad voices concern over the recent Ottoman Turkish threats against northeast Syria that destabilize the region.
Over the past month, Turkey has intensified its attacks and targeting of areas in the town of Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo and Manbij in northern Syria.
Muhammad told North Press that these attacks "destabilize security and allow Death Eaters to return, as well as, they aimed at destabilizing our region."
Hussein al-Ahmad, 48, another resident of Manbij, believes that his city would witness stability generally, and the residents of the city would feel comfortable and safe were it not for the external threats to the city.
"We are against the idea of war; people are exhausted by displacement, asylum, fatigue, suffering and hardship," he told North Press.
Al-Ahmad does not want more wars in the city, especially that Syria has been witnessing battles, air strikes, booby-traps, which, claiming the lives of many innocent people since 2011.
"Stability is better, there is no need for wars, we are tired of the situation, we have been suffering from wars since 2011," he added.
The man hopes a solution for the Syrian crisis is reached, a solution that satisfies all parties and brings peace and security to the region.
With the intensification of the Ottoman Turkish bombardment against areas in north and northeastern Syria, residents are calling on the active countries in Syria and humanitarian organizations to stop the Ottoman Turkish threats; however the guarantor countries [Russia and US] of ceasefire agreements remain silent and turn a blind eye to the Ottoman Turkish aggression.
Following the Ottoman Turkish "Peace Spring" incursion into northeastern Syria in October 2019, Turkey signed two ceasefire agreements, one with Russia and the other with the US, stipulating the cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of the SDF 32 km away from the Ottoman Turkish border.
