[PREMIUMTIMESNG] The Secretary-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, Ishaq Oloyede, has called on security agencies in the country to be fair and professional in the discharge of their duties.
Mr. Oloyede gave the advice while delivering a keynote address at the 9th Ramadan Lecture of Moslem Media Practitioners of Nigeria, MMPN, in Abuja on Sunday. The holy man at the lecture, Musa Abdur-Raheem, also explained that the Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... myrmidon group that has killed thousands of people was not representing Islam.

Bin Laden, Al Quaida, the Algerian GIA rapers, Boko Haram, insert the name of your favorite bad guy, don't represent Islam so don't shoot at us, don't take measures against us, don't keep us under watch. But don't hold your breath while waiting for our fatwah against them or us asking Muslims to take arms agsint those who are "defacing" our wonderful religion. Fatwahs are only for those who publish a drawing of Muhammad. Don't even ask us to condemn the kidnapping and raping of infidel girls! Jus a bunch of infidel women, ie sub-humans, that don't belong to the master Arab race. By heaven's sake they were Black!!!!! You don't expect us lose sleep over Blacks?

[LEADERSHIP.NG] United States president Barack Obama If you have a small business, you didn't build that... on Sunday morning said that Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... and other terrorist groups were putting the United States and the entire world under a very serious threat.

[DailyMail] President in pointed snub to MI5 over 'lone wolf' mission to interrogate British security experts
Oh, those masterly diplomatic skills!
o Sources said U.S. agents want to assess stability of Moslem relations in UK
o Normally Obama relies on intelligence passed directly from the British
o But fears have ramped up after recent radicalisation of young Britons
President B.O. has sent a special unit of CIA officers to the UK to investigate British Moslemsnuffies amid growing fears in Washington that we are becoming a 'breeding ground' for terrorism.
In a pointed snub to MI5, the agents arrived on a 'lone wolf' mission to interrogate senior security experts about the radicalisation of UK Moslems.
The mission has been revealed as our security services have been forced to admit they are struggling to keep track of the estimated 500 Britons who have travelled to the Middle East to fight alongside the Islamic Isis forces in Syria and Iraq.
It is unusual for the CIA to send a team to the UK: the agency usually relies on information passed to it by MI5 or MI6 or by its agents stationed at the American Embassy in London.
Sources have told The Mail on Sunday that the agents were keen to establish the 'stability' of the relationship between the Sunni and Shia branches of Moslems in the UK. The fighters going out to join Isis have been British-based Sunnis, causing deepening tensions within the community.
Professor Anthony Glees, of the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies at Buckingham University, said the mission, which took place earlier this year, showed the level of concern in Washington over the issue, which he claimed was rooted in the UK's 'lax' immigration policies.
'The US is worried about the British situation. They fear there might be a knock-on effect for them,' Prof Glees said.
'The throat-cutting between Sunnis and Shias in Iraq and Syria has not yet spread to the UK, but it is a real threat. It is conceivable you could see Shia "hit squads" in Britannia targeting Sunnis preparing to go out to the conflict zones to fight.'
He said: 'The Americans regard the UK as a disaster because of our lax stance on immigration which has allowed this militancy to take hold.
'Frankly, they would not be doing their jobs properly if it did not do this forming an objective view of the situation outside of the reports they get from MI5 and their officers at the US Embassy in London.'
Last night a source at the CIA insisted British intelligence had been informed of 'all outside contacts' the agents made in the UK.
However, a woman is only as old as she admits... the sources also admitted that the move revealed a growing lack of trust in Washington over MI5 and MI6's ability to provide a reliable assessment of the security threat presented by young Moslems under the sway of imams who are radicalised and then recruited to fight in religious wars around the globe.
The B.O. regime has become increasingly anxious that young American Moslems could follow the same pattern. There are strong links between British and American forces of Evil and the sources say the CIA feels British efforts to identify and unmask them have been inadequate.
A CIA and a Home Office front man declined to comment.

My guess is Champ could give a damn about immigration or it's impacts on Great Britain or anywhere else. Yes, the Klingons are there via invitation to talk to 'security experts,' but 'Immigration' is likely little more than a convenient Anti-Mohammad Video.

The whole article makes no sense. The CIA has a large number of agents in the UK "seconded" to MI5 and has for a long time. They are largely tasked with helping the British anti-terrorist effort.
If Obama wants to know about muslim terrorists in Britain, he can ask the CIA agents already working there.

The North Korean regime has declared a quarantine for the Pyongyang area in frantic efforts to prevent the spread of measles, a source said Monday.
This doesn't happen in civilized countries...
The source said measles broke out in the capital in early June, and since then travel has been controlled and preventive measures have been put in place.
The regime has reportedly instructed factories, enterprises, schools and village offices to keep those with symptoms at home. It is also blocking traffic between Pyongyang and the provinces and issuing travel permits only to those with vaccination certificates.
Due to a lack of vaccines, the North is merely putting the breakout areas off-limits instead of treating patients. Radio Free Asia last week reported that measles has also broken out in Yongchon, North Pyongan Province on the Chinese border.

[AF.REUTERS] The president of China, North Korea's only major ally, visits South Korea this week where the leaders of the two countries are expected to call on Pyongyang to end its pursuit of nuclear weapons, although Beijing will make sure it is not seen as taking sides.
In a visit certain to be watched carefully in Pyongyang, President Xi Jinping will be holding talks with South Korean President Park Geun-hye for the fifth time in a year, without yet meeting the North's leader, Kim Pudge Jong-un ...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
North Korea's nuclear and missile programme, and its plans to hold a fourth nuclear test, will dominate the agenda, officials in Seoul said.

The most interesting overnight news is that former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been "held for questioning" by police investigating allegations that he tried to influence a judge investigating a illegal contributions to his campaign.
...The judges were looking into alleged illegal campaign contributions from Muhammar Khadaffi - the former Duck of Death.
...Alas, the Duck is not available for comment. Khadaffy was toppled in NATO operation led by Barack Obama, David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy. He was caught in an attempt to escape and was killed in still mysterious circumstances.
[The Nation (Pak)] Former Punjab Law minister Rana Sanaullah today submitted his statement as he appeared before judicial court, set up to probe the Model Town tragedy.
According to the submitted statement to the commission, Rana Sanaullah said he didn't order police to open fire on the PAT workers. "I was told that the workers of PAT threw stones on the coppers?" he said.
The former minister said that he informed the whole situation to the Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif ...Pak dynastic politician, brother of PM Nawaz Sharif, chief minister of Punjab...
Following the festivities which took place on June 17, 2014 between police and PAT workers, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif removed the former law minister and former principal secretary from their posts.

[The Nation (Pak)] Pakistain People's Party leader and former interior minister Rehman Malik Pak politician, Interior Minister under the Gilani government. Malik is a former Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) intelligence officer who rose to head the FIA during Benazir Bhutto's second tenure. Malik was tossed from his FIA job in 1998 after documenting the breath-taking corruption of the Sharif family. By unhappy coincidence Nawaz Sharif became PM at just that moment and Malik moved to London one step ahead of the button men. He had to give up the interior ministry job because he held dual Brit citizenship. today said that the operation against hard boyz should have started eight months ago.
Talking to journalists at airport, Malik said that the PPP wais with the Nawaz Sharif ... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf... 's government because his party always supported democracy.
He criticized Tahirul Qadri ...Pak politician, and would-be dictator, founder and head of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran and Pakistain Awami Tehrik. He usually resides in Canada, but returns to Pakistain periodically to foam at the mouth and lead demonstrations. Depending on which way the wind's blowing, Qadri claims to be the author of Pak's blasphemy law. Other times he says it wasn't him... and Imran Khan ... aka Taliban Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... , saying that both are trying to bring 'seasonal' revolution, not a permanent one. "Terrorists want to destabilize the country and strict action against them is necessary," he added.

[The Nation (Pak)] Hafiz Muhammad Saeed ...who would be wearing a canvas jacket with very long sleeves anyplace but Pakistain... , the founder of a self-declared Pak charity who India and the US accuse of criminal masterminding the 2008 terror attacks on Mumbai, has dismissed new American sanctions on his organization.
Saeed, in an interview with the BBC, said the US is targeting Jamaat-ud Dawa (JuD) to win India's help in Afghanistan. The US alleges the JuD is a front for the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... and has offered a $10 million reward for the arrest of Saeed, who is accused of being a leader of both the groups.
Saeed told the BBC's South Asia correspondent Andrew North that America's ban on JuD was "dictated" by India. "America always takes decisions based on Indian dictation. Now it's imposing this new ban because it needs India's help in Afghanistan. I had nothing to do with the Mumbai attacks and Pakistain's courts said all India's evidence against me was just propaganda?" Saeed told the BBC in Lahore.
He claimed the $10 million price on his head doesn't worry him. "The people of Pakistain know me, and they love me. No one has tried to approach the American authorities to get this bounty. My role is very clear here, and God is protecting me"
The BBC asked him if he was an obstacle to better India-Pakistain relations. "India makes me an issue to divert attention from Kashmire, which is the real issue. Kashmire should be free and India must withdraw its hundreds of thousands of troops who are occupying the territory and give Kashmiris the right to decide their future. We are not the obstacle to better relations," he replied.

It quickly fell to trading fisticuffs and assassinations with the MQM and the Sipah-e-Sahaba, with at least a half dozen of its major leaders rubbed out. Sunni Tehreek arose to become the primary opposition to the Deobandi Binori Mosque, headed by Nizamuddin Shamzai, who was eventually bumped off by person or persons unknown. ST's current leadership has heavily criticized the Deobandi Jihadi leaders, accusing them of being sponsored by Indian Intelligence agencies as well as involvement in terrorist activities... Ulema Board on Monday jointly appealed to gunnies to surrender and stop subversive activities in the holy month of Ramazan.
In a joint declaration, Learned Elders of Islam and mashaikh said that Ramazan-ul-Mubarak is the month of peace and blessings and noted that launching armed struggle against innocent and unarmed people is a great sin as per Islamic sharia. They said that due to the behaviour of the Taliban thousands of people of North Wazoo have been compelled to leave their homes. They urged supporters of Taliban to persuade them to announce their disassociation from armed struggle, as Islam teaches peace and respect of humanity.
The declaration said Islamic laws can only be enforced in the country by implementing the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PTUI!). The declaration said the Taliban must first implement sharia on themselves and surrender before the law.

[Pak Daily Times] Criticising cancellation of all international flights to Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. after firing at a PIA plane which was about to land the Peshawar airport and the subsequent killing of a woman in the plane, the combined opposition senators staged a walkout from the House over what they claimed was indifference of the federal government. They claimed that the federal government had totally failed to restore flights from Peshawar airport by different airliners.
On a call-attention notice ANP's Senator Afrasiab Khattak asked what action taken has been by the federal government to restore international flights to and from Peshawar. "The federal government did nothing and left the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central... to the mercy of God," he bemoaned, adding that if such behaviour continues, it will have serious consequences for the federating units. The senator noted that a large number of people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa work in the Gulf countries and they all prefer to come and depart from Peshawar instead of other parts of the country.
Meanwhile, ...back at the palazzo, Count Guido had been cornered by the banditti... Senator Zahid Khan said that the federal government could have summoned the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa IG over the firing incident, but it did not bother to do so. Claiming that Punjab and Sindh have already announced that IDPs of North Wazoo Agency will not be allowed in these two provinces, he asked how will the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa fly from these two provinces. Speaking on the occasion Federal Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab said that the prime minister has taken serious notice of the attack on Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... and Peshawar airports and directed strict safety at all airports.
The prime minister has already approved Rs 5 billion for the installation of different security equipment at all the airports so that security should be ensured. He assured the House that the federal government is not silent over this serious issue and is taking appropriate measures to ensure security at all airports. He also notes that civilian population surrounded all airports, which is a provincial matter, and in this regard the federal government is in contact with the provinces.

[Pak Daily Times] Former ISPR DG Maj Gen (r) Athar Abbas has disclosed that the army was on the brink of launching a military offensive in North Wazoo three years ago, but the then army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani ... four star general, current Chief of Army Staff of the Mighty Pak Army. Kayani is the former Director General of ISI... was reluctant to do so.
In an interview with the BBC, Abbas said that the military leadership had given the go-head for an operation in North Waziristan in 2010, and preparations for it were made for one year, but it was cancelled at the last minute due to Gen Kayani's indecisiveness. "It had been decided in principle that preparations for the operation would take place between 2010 and 2011, and that it would be launched in 2011 to rid North Waziristan of bully boyz once and for all," Abbas said.
When asked whether the reason behind his reluctance to give the final approval for the operation was due to his own weaknesses, Abbas agreed, saying yes. "He was very reluctant when it came to the North Waziristan operation. Kayani thought the decision to launch the operation would reflect on his personality and people would take it as his personal decision, which is why he kept delaying the operation," said the former DG ISPR. Abbas further said that delay in launching the military offensive in North Waziristan has complicated matters, as the forces of Evil have strengthened their position in the area and have also established contact with other bully boy groups.

The United States said on Monday the declaration by militants of an "Islamic caliphate" on territory they have seized in Iraq and Syria has "no meaning."
Too bad no one in that part of the world listens to Champ...
"We have seen these types of words or comparable claims from Isil before," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters, referring to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militant group. Ummm... No, we haven't.
"This declaration has no meaning for the people in Iraq and Syria," she said, adding that it just "exposed the true nature of this organization and its desire to control people by fear." The meaning to the people of Iraq and Syria is that the turbans now control enough territory to declare their state, and they're confident they're strong enough to keep it. They've got lots of people who've been pushing the caliphate idea for years, people like all of Hezb ut-Tahrir and al-Muhajiroun (now whatever Anjem Chaudry's calling it), and Omar Bakri Mohammad, whom the Lebs jugged a week or so ago for his involvement with jihad. They've got a world-wide recruiting organization and lots of financial backing from the Devout™. If they can keep Baiji they're probably self-supporting.
"This is a critical moment for the international community, for countries in the region, for all of the Iraqi people to unite against the threats that they face," Psaki said, while stressing she did not want to "overemphasise" the declaration's impact. It's a critical moment, but she doesn't want to over-emphasize it. That makes sense. Not a lot of sense, but sense. Of a sort.
The White House said the militants spearheading the offensive in Iraq had waged "a campaign of terror of gross acts of violence and repressive ideology that pose a grave threat to Iraq's future." They aren't any different from Zarqawi, or from the bunch that was active in Saudi Arabia until the princes cracked down. Remember the guy who kept the murdered contractor's head in his refrigerator? The Taliban did the same sort of thing. Remember the Bamian Buddhas? All that stuff's far away and it has nothing to do with the U.S.A., does it? It's not like they attacked New York or something.
Oh. Wait. They did.
But that was a long time ago. We were all so much younger then.
"Isil is not fighting for a stronger Iraq. Isil is fighting to destroy Iraq. And that's why you've seen this administration work closely with Iraq's political leaders to encourage them to unite the country as they confront this existential threat," spokesman Josh Earnest said. So where's the "Shock and Awe" part, Josh, if it's all that important?
With Iraq's parliament scheduled to hold its opening session on Tuesday following April elections, Psaki said Washington was "continuing to urge Iraqi leaders to come to an agreement on the three critical posts that are key to forming Iraq's next government." That means they want to dump Maliki, whom Iran and Russia don't want to dump even though Sistani does.

But what does it mean to Saudi Arabia? After all, isn't posession of the two Mosques the n'est plus ultra of Islamic control? One would think that a caliphate has to have that to have legitimacy.
What do the head turbans in Qom, Cairo, Mecca etc. have to say about this?
#6
The head turbans are waiting to see if ISIS can keep what it has gained. If they still have it in a few months the "idea of caliphate" will start to take hold.
#8
These kids/amateurs should all be fired and replaced with someone who knows what the heck they are doing. They should pay great attention to this growing menace, get their "collective" heads out of the sand and figure out how to deal with it. There is no identifiable coherent strategy.
#9
I wonder if anybody is looking at the opportunities afforded by such a declaration. As AlanC notes, who runs the caliphate isn't obvious from Islamic principles, and there are plenty of candidates who, with a little encouragement, might be willing to dispute each others' claims.

Anyone sane would realize that trying to argue with the jihadis about stuff gives them more credibility than they deserve.
[Iran Press TV] Iran's defense minister says the Death Eaters of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ... the current version of al-Qaeda in Iraq, just as blood-thirsty and well-beloved as the original... (ISIL) and their supporters must be put on trial as "war criminals."
"Murder, plunder, aggression, destruction, mass execution and displacement of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Syria are clear examples of war crimes," Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said on Monday.
He added that such criminal acts combined with the silence and inaction of the so-called human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. advocates and international organizations "have butchered the security of the region."
The official emphasized that such crimes are being committed to create a safe haven for the Israeli regime and undermine the resistance movement against Tel Aviv.
The Iranian minister said the ISIL will have a destiny worse than that of the executed Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, and the terrorist group's inhuman measures would definitely backfire on its supporters.
Dehqan stressed the importance of strengthening unity among all Iraqi ethnicities and groups to maintain the country's integrity and secure its national interests, noting that foreign countries interfering in Iraq's internal affairs are not interested in the country's dignity and independence.
Dehqan expressed Iran's support for the territorial integrity of Iraq, saying, "The Islamic Iran seeks a unified, united, secure and advanced Iraq and will support any measure in this regard."

[Iran Press TV] The United States is seeking a Yugoslavia-style disintegration of Iraq in order to take over some parts of the country after Washington failed to keep its hold on the entire country, an American political commentator says.
The US wants "disintegration or breakup of Iraq, much like the breakup of Yugoslavia," said Rodney Martin, who is the director of the World View Foundations, a website, and a host at the American Nationalist Network, an internet radio station. I'm not too sure what the opinions of actual racists (as in White People's Party) are worth.
"If the United States can't get their hands on all of it, then they will take some of it. This just speaks to the immorality of the United States' policy in that region and in other parts of the world as well," he told Press TV in a phone interview on Monday.
On Sunday, Republican Senator John Barrasso said that a stable Iraq, split into three separate parts, will best serve the interests of the United States.
"The United States basically has the Kurdish region, they established that after the first (Persian) Gulf warâ¦and then they have pledged to keep Iraq together," Martin stated.
"And then when the political situation, which the United States created, let's understand this political structure in Iraq was dictated to Iraq by the United States when the elections which have been conducted under a political system imposed by the United States didn't go the way the United States wanted, then the United States pulled support and let the country fall apart," he added.

Maybe if you didn't indoctrinate the little kiddies in your schools about the destruction of Israel (and those living there), maybe they'd learn to play better with others. You reap what you sow.
[JPOST] Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, warned Israel on Monday against waging war on the Gazoo Strip, saying this would "open the gates of hell" on Israel.
The warning was issued hours before the bodies of the three kidnapped Israeli youths were found near Hebron.
Hamas front manSami Abu Zuhri ...a senior spokesman for Hamas. Zuhri gained notoriety in 2006 when he dropped his money belt containing somewhere between 640,000 and 900,000 euros, which was confiscated by Paleostinian security and customs officials at a routine border crossing from Egypt to Gaza. The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest... said that Israel bears responsibility for the latest escalation in the Gazoo Strip.
"[Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu should know that his threats don't scare Hamas," Abu Zuhri said. "If he wages war on the Gazoo Strip, the gates of hell will be opened."
Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal phoned Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan and briefed him on the "tragic" situation in the Gazoo Strip and West Bank, Hamas officials said.
They said that Mashaal urged Erdogan and the international community to "move quickly to halt the Zionist aggression and lift the siege imposed on the Gazoo Strip."

[An Nahar] French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Monday that jihadists spearheading a militant offensive in Iraq have sold oil from captured areas to the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Fabius said the sale was evidence of the "confusing" nature of the escalating conflict in the Middle East in which Assad and the jihadists are in theory on opposing sides.
The rebels, previously known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), declared a "caliphate", or Islamist state, straddling Iraq and Syria at the weekend.
"We have proofs that when ISIL has taken over oil it has sold oil to the (Assad) regime," Fabius told a news conference in New Delhi, without elaborating.
Other revenues and weapons have been seized during the advance by the Islamist fighters, particularly in the town of Mosul.
In Syria the fighters, who have renamed themselves simply the Islamic State (IS), control large swathes of territory, but also face opposition from other rebel groups because of their reputation for brutality.
Referring to how the rebels in Syria and the Assad regime use each other to derive legitimacy, Fabius said: "Officially they are combating each other but in fact they are very often helping each other."
The situation in Iraq is "very, very, very worrying," he added.
"Why? Because it is probably the first time that a terrorist group -- and a ferocious terrorist group -- is in a position, if there is no reaction, to take over the whole country, and a rich country, with enormous consequences for the region and the world," he said.

Oil money is fungible. They would and did sell it to the devil(s).

File under French military sales to Russia and other rogue states. In other news, French pastry is also very rich.

I was wondering how these jokers were going to finance themselves. They have to eat at some point. They don't seem like the types to set up a viable state. You can only plunder for so long the place where you are before you start thinking about expanding to other countries.
The downside of trying terrorists in a civilian court system. They'll all be released as planned.
It's been the plan all along. Close Gitmo, release the thugs, turn over all the documents, pay the lawyers at the "Center for Constitutional Rights" triple time and damages besides, and shut up anyone who disagrees.
