Germany's finance minister is rejecting U.S. President Barack Obama's calls on Europe to move faster in fighting its debt crisis, telling him to get the American deficit under control instead.
Wolfgang Schaeuble told public broadcaster ZDF in an interview late Sunday that "people are always very quick at giving others advice."
He says: "Mr. Obama should first of all take care of reducing the American deficit, which is higher than in the eurozone."

That would be a good idea that isn't going to happen while Obama is in office. Raising the debt limit is going to come up again just before the election. How's that going to play out?
[Slate] Since his presidential aspirations burnt out in the New Hampshire GOP presidential primary due to a lack of support from non-members of the media, Jon Huntsman ...American professional politician and diplomat. He worked as a White House staff assistant for Ronald Reagan, and he was appointed by George Bush the Elder as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce and later as United States Ambassador to Singapore. He was Deputy U.S. Trade Representative under Bush the Younger. Huntsman has also served as CEO of his family's Huntsman Corporation and was elected Governor of Utah in 2004, winning re-election in 2008 with nearly 78% of the vote. On August 11, 2009, he resigned as governor to accept an appointment as Ambassador to China in the Obama administration.... has been keeping busy.
After hinting at a potential future as an independent candidate, he joined the Board of Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania, his alma mater, and was also given the great responsibility of being named one of the 21 sexiest men alive over 50 by the AARP.
This week, the left-of-center Brookings Institute named the former ambassador to China and governor of Utah as a distinguished fellow. Joining Brookings is reflective of Huntsman's refusal to pander to his party's far right; since he dropped out of the race, he has taken a critical attitude toward the Republican Party for moving so far from the center.
So next time we need a Democrat in a Republican primary we'll know exactly who to recruit...

See? Fred nails it everytime I see the headline. He used his marker!
It kept in place -- for now -- the provision allowing the state to require police officers to enforce immigration laws.

The most interesting thing was the ruling was 7-1, with Ginsberg and Sotomayor supporting. The impact is that local cops, with PC for a stop, can inquire on immigration status. ICE is not prepared for the flood of data, nor the number of immigration holds this will create in local jail databases.
Secondarilly, the decision on SEIU not being allowed to create the "opt-out" non-sense on union dues collected for political actions is a huge issue. It will begin the erosion of union power, even in this bastion of progressive self-destruction that we in CA witness each day. Remember Wisconsin public union membership dropped over 50% when the didn't have their dues taken if not union members. This sets the table for that to happen nationwide. Absent union money. liberal/progressives in the US are going to feel a stunning decline in cash.

Goodness, Homeland Security is efficient! They,ve already suspended immIgration agreements with the Arizona police. Link
The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.
Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police but that wont change President Obamas decision to limit who the government actually tries to detain and deport.

He's already demonstrated that he'll do what he wants despite the Congress. Now he'll do what he wants despite the Supreme Court.

So now he's gone rogue?
Wowsers, we better hope he doesn't get reelected or he'll try to turn himself into a US version of pudge, complete with cult of personality in the MSM.

What AZ should do is what was done prior to World War II, set up 50 caliber machine gun nests, at that time to prevent a possible but rumored Japanese invasion (which later actually did happen with the bombing of Pearl Harbor, so the rumor was true). This time to prevent the infiltration of Islamic Terrorists but given permission to shoot anything that tries to come across the US border. If the Dems want to play nuance, the right can do so, too.

So Homeland Security suspends illegal immigration agreements with local law enforcement in Arizona? Local law enforcement can ask about immigration status in a stop if there is PC for some other suspected offense. If local police find an illegal immigrant but they did not hold up a 7-11, murder someone, or sell dope, as previously thought; that is, it's a case of mistaken identity, then it looks like a catch and release program on the illegal immigration offense.

Won't answer the phone call. That'll work well till the illegal with an outstanding want and warrant gets a pass, or one convicted and did time and deported returns for more mayhem. If the bureaucracy wants to build a long trail of abuses, remember -
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

Arzona Sheriff Joe Arpaio just told Fox News border states have a list of state laws they will enforce if Janet Napolitano, ICE, or any other agency now under control by the gangster government refuses to implement federal laws passed by common consent after no papers are shown during probable cause stops of foreigners here in the US illegally.

Sheriff Joes Youtube video of his response has a "front door Latino" in the comment section applauding Joe, demanding other Mexicans stop coming over through the back door and Youtube keeps deleting his comments.

Democrats running for election will have to distance themselves from Obama in order to get elected. They will have to repudiate his actions and policies. They still might have trouble getting elected.
