[DAILYCALLER] In the latest salvo in the Freddie Gray case, the office of Baltimore city state's attorney Marilyn Mosby is accusing the attorneys for six officers charged in the 25-year-old's death of "spew[ing] invective, hoping that vitriol will trump logic."
In a motion filed Wednesday, Mosby's chief deputy, Michael Schatzow, responded to the defense attorneys' calls for the 35-year-old prosecutor to recuse herself from the case because of her personal and political conflicts of interest.
"They make arguments for which they can find no authority," Schatzow said of the defense lawyers. "They distort facts when they do not invent them. They abhor logic, so they do not use it."
In his latest missive, first published by The Baltimore Sun, Schatzow responded to a defense motion filed last week which claimed that Mosby directed the police department's Western district to beef up narcotics patrols at an intersection near where Gray was apprehended on April 12. After being detained and put in a police van, Gray suffered a broken neck at some point during the ride to central booking. He died a week later.
But in their motion last week, defense attorneys cited a March 17 email Joshua Rosenblatt, the division chief of Crime Strategies Unit in Mosby's office, to Western District police commander Major Osborne Robinson. The email indicated that Mosby herself wanted coppers to target suspected drug pushers.

Another case of size 12 ego in size 3 brain---the wonders of affirmative action.

The email indicated that Mosby herself wanted coppers to target suspected drug pushers.
It would seem that targeting a specific 'high crime' area would be a positive, something to embrace.... unless of course the targeting was against specific drug pushers and tribal 'turf' violations.

One might wonder if pols get kick backs from merchants of unregulated pharmaceuticals who are granted de facto monopolies in their 'turf' much like those limited wholesale licenses granted in the legalized alcohol trade.

Here is the essence of her response:
"Liar! Liar! Pants of fire!"
This person is very dangerous. She had already caused several deaths by basically preventing the cops, Good and bad, from doing their jobs for fear of being prosecuted.
And now I hear they are planning in inditing even more cops. That is going to work real well...

Mosby and her Marxist clan are simply lashing out at colonial occupiers. The best course of action is to pull out and permit them to pursue their Boko Haram-lite, urban tribal governance undeterred.
[THECONSERVATIVETREEHOUSE] More Baltimore coppers likely face arrest as the result of reforms in a scandal-ridden department that requires "wholesale change," Commissioner Anthony W. Batts wrote in a wide-ranging opinion piece published in The Baltimore Sun. It will be interesting to watch the West Side become all of Baltimore. Unfortunately, I still have family living in the city. Leonard Bernstein's dead, so he can't write another "West Side Story."
"Our reform efforts will very likely see more copperslynched incarcerated," ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... Batts wrote. "We will have more officers who are forced out because their outdated, outmoded views of policing do not match the standards the community expects and demands." The bad guys want to kill cops and the chief wants them jugged. Good luck with finding recruits.
The piece was published Friday on The Sun's website and appears in Sunday's print editions. The Sun used to be one of the country's great newspapers. Of course Baldymore used to be a great city, too.
Batts, appointed commissioner nearly three years ago, said he inherited a department stuck in a "cycle of scandal, corruption and malfeasance" and that Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake hired him to reform the agency and rebuild community relationships.

Yeah - they should just fire the whole department. Maybe bring in the New Black Panthers or Nation of Islam to replace them. That will insure "justice" - at least for a few favored blacks. Of course, every white person, and many blacks would immediately move out of the city. Which would make it much easier for looters. So, mission accomplished.

Someone could write a damn fine country anthem about watching, from Ft. McHenry, the bombardment of Baltimore. My mind's ear totally lost it when the mic was tossed to the ghost of Frederick Douglass for a chorus or two. Then EAP. Then FSK. And why not Mosby, for a moment of comic relief?
[THECONSERVATIVETREEHOUSE] History needs to be corrected. In the post Charlie Hebdo attack aftermath, every media outlet said U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry asked James Taylor to fly to Paris. Actually, the opposite is true; James Taylor’s wife asked Secretary Kerry to come to Paris. Nice to know what’s actually driving our diplomatic endeavors….

Moar Airplane! diplomacy.
"Sorry babe, top secret mission to pachystain, can't make it."
[WEEKLYSTANDARD] Alexander Hamilton can't get no respect. First, he gets born with at least four strikes against him---in the British West Indies, not exactly the hub of the universe; poor, illegitimate, dead-beat dad, and mother dead when he was eleven; then he blunders into the first great sex scandal of the nascent Republic; then he gets murdered at age 49, shot in a duel by the sitting vice-president, a sociopath who was running a side-line in plotting secession, creating a new state in which he'd be King. Now, two weeks before the 211th anniversary of the duel that killed him, comes the unkindest of cuts: the move to oust his loveable visage from the ten dollar bill, to be replaced by some yet-to-be-picked-out person of gender, to atone for years---nay, decades and centuries----of 'otherness,' dissing, and grief.
Everything is wrong with this ill-advised project, among them the fact that Hamilton eclipses in impact all but a very small handful of presidents, much less the well-meaning but much more obscure list of social workers etc. the feminists want to see in his stead. Why can't they see that this makes them ludicrous? Why can't they go for the two-dollar bill---Jefferson still has the nickel---or one of the less-used denominations, filled by less worthy men? Why should women get on a bill before African Americans do, who have suffered much more (sorry, ladies), and have people, like Frederick Douglass, with much greater claims upon consequence? And why not wait for a woman to come along who really deserves it? The bullpens are filling up with some serious talents, and it won't be long now. Hamilton and Franklin are as far as I can recall the only non-presidents to grace our currency. It was not always thus. The silver dollar used to carry a portrait of Liberty, represented by the face of the concept as a woman in profile. A grand and lovely lady she was. They took her off the dollar and retired her to a nursing home, where she died on January 21st, 2009.
Hamilton, a Dead White Male, contributed much of substance to the making of Our Fair Land, starting with founding an artillery company at the start of the War for Independence and serving as General Washington's chief of staff. He was a founder of the Federalist Party and Secretary of the Treasury. He was killed in a duel by the despicable rascal Aaron Burr. That was before there were secret service details.

Hamilton is a dead mostly white male. He may very well be the blackest person of/on note.

Someone suggested the image of Molly Pitcher. A picture of her in front of the flag, serving her cannon alongside the men, would make liberal heads explode.

Just from a design POV, I've always wanted to see Angela Davis (or other huge fro) on a coin. But for the new ten, for a sharp stick in the eye of everything that sucks today, how about John and Abigail Adams?
[REASON] Yes, the feds can compel magazines and websites to cough up user information about obviously non-threatening trolls, while barring them from even acknowledging it.

When the judiciary assumed the powers of the old state aristocracy without challenge, this is what you get. No life appointments in a republic.
[Iran Press TV] The former US secretary of state made the remarks in a speech in the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... on Saturday, days after a 21-year-old white man slaughtered nine African-American worshippers at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina.
"Race remains a deep fault line in America," Clinton said, speaking in front of the US Conference of Mayors in San Francisco. "Millions of people of color still experience racism in their everyday lives."
She stated that "it's tempting to dismiss a tragedy like this as an isolated incident, to believe that in today's America bigotry is largely behind us, that institutionalized racism no longer exists." Yes, a failed America and more Obama snake oil remedies required.
"But despite our best efforts and our highest hopes, America's long struggle with race is far from finished," she added.
In addition, Clinton called for a "commonsense" approach to gun reforms and vowed to take swift action to tighten gun control laws if elected.
She said that President Barack Obama teachable moment... is right on gun control legislation, adding that the "politics on this issue have been poisoned but we can't give up."

You mean like the UC system systematically keeping highly qualified American Asians out of their fiefdoms? BTW, don't the marxist-socialist basically operate that institution?

While I'm impressed by Hilly's bold stand against mass murder (although I see that she had to wait for the focus group results to come in), what I really want to see from her is a price list. Exactly how many dineros is my vote worth to you? Although I'm sure it would be out of my price range, just out of curiosity how much would a night in the Lincoln Bedroom cost me? I mean, if we're going to have a cash-and-carry presidency, let's at least be above board about it.

P2k, I think you mean Affirmative Action. There. I said it. I'm sure that's not what she means although it is the most egregious form of institutional racism since the Third Reich.

That’s why, on issue after issue where Congress has failed to act, my administration has partnered with mayors and governors across the country to advance economic priorities that most working families in America are in favor of right now.
