[ABCNEWS.GO] The nation's oldest U.S. senator looks like she's sticking around.

Feinstein was the author of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and tried it a second time in 2012. Feinstein has chaired the Select Committee on Intelligence since 2009. At age 80, Feinstein is the oldest currently serving United States Senator.... turns 84 on Thursday and is displaying signs that she's headed for a re-election campaign, not a retirement party.
While the Democrat has been coy when asked about seeking a fifth full term next year, her political committee, unambiguously titled Feinstein for Senate 2018, raised more than $650,000 in the first three months of this year in a cue she is looking ahead.
Feinstein plays a marquee role for Democrats on Capitol Hill, where she has queried Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former FBI Director James Comey about their interactions with President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... , amid probes tied to Russian influence and the 2016 presidential campaign.
On Friday, she warned that Trump might attempt to fire Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating possible obstruction of justice. "The message the president is sending through his tweets is that he believes the rule of law doesn't apply to him," she said.

The question you should ask is what the real estate business holdings are for her hubby. After election agin, at the right moment, she retires and Jerry or Gavin merely appoints the next Socialist/Progressive/Minority Senator to further the far left agenda. This is one example of why we need term limits, and a convention of the states to propose the necessary amendment, because it would never get out of Congress.
Keep in mind that Senators such as Feinstein & McCain aren't just individuals; they become industries of staff, toadies, hangers-on, etc., devoted to power, influence, fundraising, and so forth. The pressure to NOT retire is enormous.
