Al Gore's split from wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage was a shock to everyone who thought theirs was the ideal marriage. Now Star can exclusively reveal that the former Vice President was having an affair with Larry David's ex-wife -- for the past two years!
In the June 28 issue of Star, on sale Wednesday, we report that Al and Tipper's breakup didn't come as much of a surprise to one Hollywood player -- Laurie David. Star has learned that Al has been having an affair with Laurie, who divorced Seinfeld creator and Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David in 2007 amidst reports she was cheating with the caretaker of their Martha's Vineyard summer home.
"Al and Laurie went from friends to lovers," an insider tells Star. "It couldn't be avoided."
Of course it could. All one need do is choose never to cheat while married. Having decided to do so, the object is immaterial.

This story broke just about exactly 24 hours after Al Gore put up a post on his personal blog criticizing the Obama administration for "censoring" news about the Gulf oil spill.
Mere coincidence? Or payback?
Should we "question the timing"?

No pictures, please! NO PICTURES, PLEASE!
Don't even think abut Al Gore in underpants! Too late!
Rod Blagojevich's reality TV audience is a memory now, as are the women of "The View" who begged to touch his hair, and the listeners on his pro-Rod radio talk show.
The former Democratic governor of Illinois now has only one audience to charm: his jurors. And they've had one heck of a week already, being dragged down the rabbit hole into the wonderland of Illinois politics.
They watched Dead Meat perform from the defense table, sighing, shrugging and making faces at a former chief of staff testifying for the prosecution. Dead Meat was desperate to convince them he's just an honest man victimized by a pack of schemers.
On just the second day of testimony, the jury was treated to a peek into the political shadows, with audio of Rod praising good buddy and state Sen. Jimmy DeLeo, D-How You Doin?, as the one guy he could trust to bring in the campaign cash.
But what's in store for them, with weeks and weeks still to go?
We contacted a member of another jury, one that convicted a governor of Illinois only a few years ago, a jury of regular folks drawn into the political-media frenzy that was the trial of a Republican former Gov. George Ryan. Rest at link; and you'll want to read what this lady has to say.
In the 2PM ET hour on MSNBC, anchor Tamron Hall did a news brief on Democratic Congressman Bob Etheridge assaulting two students attempting to ask him a question last week, proclaiming: "...there are some Democrats that are blasting the people allegedly behind this video....some would catagorize that as an ambush interview..." Most of us would probably put ambush interviewers into a choke hold. Happens all the time.
Hall played a clip of the video showing the assault and afterwards quoted an written apology from Etheridge. She described how the video "first appeared on Andrew Breitbart's conservative blog BigGovernment.org," remarking that he "was partly responsible for that notorious ACORN video featuring conservative James O'Keefe." Hall made sure to also mention that "O'Keefe pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for entering Senator Mary Landrieu's office under false pretenses." Hall then suspiciously noted about the Etheridge video: "One of these so-called camera men at one point reportedly identified himself as a student, so there's discrepancy over who these individuals really are."
In the 3PM ET hour on MSNBC, anchor Chris Jansing spoke with NBC correspondent Luke Russert about the altercation and explained to viewers: "...in spite of the fact of what we see on camera and his apology, there are Democrats, right Luke, who frankly say they think that we need to look beyond what might seem obvious." Russert replied: "...nobody knows who these, quote, 'students' are" and cited Democratic Party spokesman Brad Woodhouse claiming they were actually Republican Party operatives. He concluded: "So a lot of Democrats are saying wait, hold on, this was a set up. This guy was intentionally put out to do this by the Republican Party."
Russert admitted: "We obviously don't know if that's true or not," but quickly added, "it's quite interesting that we do not know who the folks that actually took this video are, this late in the process. You'd think they'd want some notoriety, especially if they are perpetuating this cause against the Obama agenda."
After noting that Etheridge's House seat was "fairly safe," Russert made the obvious observation that "...at the end of the day, everyone agrees, it's never a good idea to physically assault somebody who's trying to videotape you, especially in the YouTube age."

The Democratic "notoriety" achieved is quite sufficient.

indefensible, but they try. If they had any journalistic integrity or ethics, they wouldn't be on MSNBC, and that includes Russert's weakass son, Luke

Mao would be proud of MSNBC's immediate lapdog response to defend the Party.
MSNBC is a propaganda organ for the left. It is not a new channel.

Soo he is saying he fell hook line sinker for an obvious trap set up by stuuupid GOPpers? That sounds even more embarassing.

MSNBC is being short sighted here. Specifically they are so concerned with defending the party that they have not considered the precedent: If Etheridge gets away with this, it will be open season on scumbag journalists, with dire results for MSNBC's own camera thugs.
Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the UN and member of Barack Obama's cabinet, opened the door for the possibility of an international investigation into the U.S. military on Fox News Sunday yesterday. Here's the relevant part of the exchange:
Chris Wallace: And a simple question: Would the U.S. accept foreign participation if this country were investigating actions by the U.S. military?
Susan Rice: I think it depends on the circumstances, Chris.
Naturally, this question came up during an exchange about the pro-Hamas flotillas that Israel prevented from reaching its shores. But it's an extraordinarily short-sighted statement for Rice to make.
President Barack Obama is a wartime president, with many soldiers under his command in Iraq and Afghanistan. Should these heroes be subject to the findings of an investigation conducted by, say, Libya, Russia, and Venezuela? Of course not. And that's why someone in Rice's position should not even allow such a scenario to enter into the realm of possibilities.

On October 5, 1998, an article appeared in Newsweek magazine describing Rice as "widely seen by African diplomats and U.S. experts as bright but inexperienced and inflexible."
