FTA: But he has said the cervical cancer vaccine is no different from the one that protects children against polio. He doesn't know very much, I guess. $360 per set of shots into the pockets of Big Pharma.
[Iran Press TV] A suicide cult is driving the US economy off the cliff by keeping the United States in a perpetual state of war and by "eviscerating" the middle class, says an economic analyst.
"The only way you can rationalize what the American policy makers are doing is to see it in the context of a suicide cult," Max Keiser said in an interview with Press TV.
"What we are witnessing is the US effectively committing financial suicide. You'd have to compare [it with] maybe a death cult like Jim Jones in Guyana who convinced the entire population of the cult to drink the cyanide-laced Kool-aid and to kill themselves," he added.
The finance critic argued that US policy makers want "to continue invading countries, blow through trillions of dollars that they don't have, while simultaneously gutting all the manufacturing capacity in the country and destroying the food supplies with chemicals and genetically modified products (GMO), guaranteeing that most of the Americans today will come down with cancer in the next five to ten years from GMO foods, cell phones and anything else that America excels at."
He said the objectives of these policies are to steal the wealth of the US middle class and to make "the entrenched oligarchy and kleptocrats that are in charge of the country richer than ever before."
Keiser pointed out that US President Barack B.O. Obama is playing a key role in this process which is "the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the US, [one which is] creating a permanent underclass with no jobs, living on food stamps and... people on the verge of rioting in the streets."
The analyst also accused Obama of abandoning US citizens, saying that the president is "like a captain who has left the ship."
Keiser predicted a gloomy outlook for the US economy, adding that Americans should expect higher food and energy prices, with the poverty rates also rising.
On Thursday, Moody's Investors Service warned that it might review the US for a possible credit downgrade amid concerns about the current national debt crisis coming to more than USD 14.4 trillion.
Bank of America, Citigroup and Wells Fargo Co. may be downgraded by Moody's, the provider of credit ratings and research covering debt instruments and securities, as the rating firm reviews whether the government will limit its support of the largest financial firms.

We can thank Iran Press TV for some perspective. As bad as I think it is, they can make it much worse. I suppose it goes without saying that the Jooooos are behind it?

George W broke the middle class, them emptied the bank with two wars and then cut the obligations (taxes) of those who contribute the most AND reap the biggest benefits (the rich). OOH RAH all you want about good old boy George W. But if you werent in his ultra uber rich club you're nothing, and even less these days. "let them eat cake"

Nice 746, but anyone comparing the federal budget of 1960 with the one of 2010 can only be blind if they don't see where federal increases in spending and the ballooning deficit is happening - Social Security and Medicare. You can play the 'soak the rich' card, but both of those programs were supposed to be financed by FICA not income tax. However, that didn't stop both parties from raiding the funds to pay for here and now.
[Iran Press TV] US President Barack B.O. Obama says his administration is determined to put an end to the tax cuts for the wealthy -- a measure introduced under former President George W. Bush.
"He would not support extending the Bush tax cuts for the top two percent again no matter what hostages Republicans took," a politician, who spoke on condition of anonymity, quoted Obama as saying.
The US president pointed out that the issue of taxes is a major source of contention between his administration and Republicans on the campaign trail, Rooters reported on Thursday.
"Whatever we agree on, we are still going to have plenty to argue about in 2012," a senior administration official paraphrased the president as saying.
"I've said I'm not going to renew the tax cuts for the top two percent. We might agree on tax reform or simplification, but on the upper-income tax cuts we are just going to have to agree to disagree."
Meanwhile, ...back at the Senate, Odius Sepulcher called for war against the Visigoths... Obama stressed that a deal to raise the country's debt ceiling includes an increase in revenues, while Republicans demand that the deal be restricted to spending cuts and entitlement reforms.
"I've been very clear about revenues as a part of a balanced package, and I will continue to be," the US president said.
Democrats and Republicans have failed to reach an agreement on raising the USD 14.3 trillion borrowing limit.
Technically, they agree to not raise the borrowing limit until cuts in the budget are agreed upon as well. But that's a quibble...
On Tuesday, the Republican-controlled US House of Representatives turned down a bill intended to raise the US debt ceiling by USD 2.4 trillion, a move that Democrats described as political posturing.
Some Democrats described it that way. Other Democrats voted with the Republicans.
The development comes two months ahead of the crucial August 2 deadline for raising the debt ceiling.

Iran knows what "our" president is doing more than the regular US media.
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) bashed the White House on Friday for intervening in Libya to oust dictator Muammar Gaddafi, saying the United States does not need to be the "9-1-1 for the world."
"We have got to stop subsidizing the rest of the world," he said on the House floor (see video below). "Particularly now. When members from the Appropriations Committee come up and tell us, you got to go and do this, but let's cut police in Massachusetts, let's cut housing in Ohio, let's cut transportation in California, we cannot reduce our deficit in a way that allows us to maintain any concern for the quality of life here if we continue to spend money promiscuously over there."
Frank spoke in support of a measure by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) that would have blocked the U.S. military from assisting NATO forces in Libya after 15 days. That measure went down on Friday afternoon in a 148 to 265 vote, with support from 87 Republicans and 61 Democrats.

Typical liberal Democrat - the only times they complain about government spending is when it's done on the military and / or when it's done by a Republican...

Well, that confirms it. There must be some good reason why NATO is attacking Daffy.

Has anyone checked the temperature of Hell to see if it has frozen over? I find myself in support of a measure proposed by Dennis Kucinich! Since Obama has violated the War Powers Act by not asking Congress for permission, it is appropriate that Congress send a signal that the Libya "kinetic military action" is illegal.

I'll give a pass on the clock, being government work the other opportunity was likely wasted ;)
Whatever the motives I am on the side of needing Congressional approval, and for me it breaks down like this. Yes, there have been times where the US has used military force to accomplish a military mission such as air strikes the US allegedly took part in etc etc. This is different. This is a sustained military action involving and invoked by a military treaty which has evolved into a drawn siege with no clear goal other than asking Daffy to nicely go somewhere else. Sporting Rebels United are incapable and/or unwilling to storm the medina anytime soon. It could be in their mind better not to as to control the economic portions of the land formorly known as Libya and let the internationals keep Team Daffy pinned down - that way they get others to give them aid and money and protection so long as the boogy man is still alive. The concept of involvement has been described as a siege by the president himself although in lawyer words. Therefore, for or against this action, at this point IMO there needs to be Congressional approval.
The president gave us a 2 week ketchup book report after his jaunt to carnival and the ruins, and has explained in a sense to the British Parliament why it was so cool to get involved, so it is high time the US Government properly get involved. And what Congress needs to realize is that by giving a pass they are essentially abdicating their own power now and in the future, and if that is the case they might as well just fire themselves now and save everyone the bullshit.
This is, IMHO, an attempt to tack ahead of the looming budget doom by frank (kookcinich is many things but seems to be consistant so I give him a pass) who is, actively or passively, part of the frackin problem.

AH9418, forget impeachment. Until the opposing party has a 2/3 majority in the Senate (and a majority in the House), a president will never be removed from office.
