[THEMOSCOWTIMES] The youngest son of U.S. Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body... , Hunter Biden, has been appointed head of legal affairs at Ukraine's largest private gas producer -- a move he said would benefit Ukrainians and the country's economy.
In a statement published Monday on its website, Burisma Holdings announced Hunter Biden would join its board of directors and head the company's legal unit.
"As a new member of the board, I believe that my assistance in consulting the company on matters of transparency, corporate governance and responsibility, international expansion and other priorities will contribute to the economy and benefit the people of Ukraine," Hunter Biden said in the statement.
Burisma owns several Ukrainian oil and gas companies, including Esko Pivnich and Pari, Lenta.ru reported Tuesday. The company also has assets in Ukraine's Dnepr-Donetsk, the Carpathian and the Azov-Kuvan basins.
Burisma produced 11,600 barrels of oil equivalent, or boe, in 2013 and was planning to increase its production in Ukraine by 35-40 percent in 2014, U.S. financier and member of the board of directors Devon Archer told newspaper Capital in late April.
Hunter's father, as U.S. Vice President, has repeatedly rebuked Russia for its reported involvement in Ukraine and has pledged to support efforts to reduce its dependency on Russian energy

[DETROITNEWS] bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... -- U.S. Rep. John Conyers does not have enough signatures to remain on the Aug. 5 ballot, Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett said Tuesday -- a decision that puts his half-century career in Congress at risk.
Garrett called the decision about the fellow Detroit Democrat unfortunate, but said she's "bound by the current laws and statutes of the State of Michigan that set forth very specific and narrow instructions regarding candidate petitions and the authority of the County Clerk."
"It is a very unfortunate circumstance that an issue with a circulator of a petition would disqualify the signature of valid registered voter," Garrett said in a statement released Tuesday. Her ruling confirms a staff investigation released Friday that found Conyers had 592 signatures -- 408 less than the 1,000 required by state law.
More than 640 signatures for Conyers, 84, were disqualified after a challenge by primary opponent the Rev. Horace Sheffield of Detroit resulted in a clerk office staff's finding that the petition circulators were not registered voters as required by state law. It disqualifies the longest-serving African-American in Congress and means Sheffield is the only Democratic candidate on the Aug. 5 ballot for the 13th Congressional District, which includes Detroit and other parts of Wayne County.
Sheffield said he has respect for Garrett and her decision, considering she could have "done something different." Still, Sheffield said he's focusing his efforts on winning an election.
"I've not really pinned my hopes on the congressman being put off the ballot," said Sheffield, noting his recent campaign stops throughout the Wayne County suburbs "... I'm focused on my fight to stand up for people in the district."

Expect a late find of more signatures for the good Congresscritter.....

Petitioning is unconstitutional. Like voter ID's, it's just another way 'the man' disenfranchises minorities. Check your petitioning and get over it.

No worries for John Conyers. I am sure he will be the newly appointed Czar of Detroit Rebuilding with a $50 Billion dollar budget from the Federal largeness of Green energy/Job training/reparations/ budget.... that automagically renews each year.
[Washington Post] Republican strategist Karl Rove on Tuesday distanced himself from a provocative New York Post headline, saying he does not believe -- as the newspaper asserted -- that former secretary of state Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzla and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edmund Randolph ... suffered "brain damage" from a head injury in 2012.
"Of course she doesn't have brain damage," he said in an interview with The Washington Post.
But Rove said that it is apparent that Clinton suffered "a serious health episode." He added that if she runs for president in 2016, "she is going to have to be forthcoming" about the details of where, how and when it happened.

Rove has proven to have such poor instincts lately I have to wonder if he was lucky during the Bush elections.
Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that the Department of Justice doesn't have any plans to investigate allegations that veterans placed on secret waiting lists at VA hospitals died while waiting for care. We're just too busy sending the F.B.I. to find Nigerians.
"Well, obviously these reports if they're true are unacceptable, and the allegations are being taken very seriously by the administration. But I don't have any announcements at this time with regard to anything that the Justice Department is doing," Holder told reporters at a press conference. They're not actually deceased, they're just terminally unrecovered.
"This is something on our radar screen at this point, but there is an investigation being done by the [VA] inspector general, and we'll see what happens as a result of that inquiry and other information that comes to light in some form or fashion," Holder added. I see. "We'll see what happens"...as opposed to making something happen.
According to CNN, at least 40 veterans died while waiting for treatment at one VA hospital in Phoenix. Members of Congress have said in recent weeks that the inspector general investigation is inadequate and have called on the DOJ to launch its own investigation. An internal investigation? No sense in running a parallel civil or criminal inquiry. They were only aging veterans.
"Because these cases involve individuals working in their capacity as federal employees, and these incidents have occurred at federal facilities throughout the nation, I urge you to work with the state Attorneys General in Arizona and across the country to investigate these preventable deaths thoroughly, determine appropriate criminal charges, and prosecute the offenders accordingly," Rep. Tom Rooney, a Republican of Florida, wrote in a letter to Holder on May 1. Everybody knows the Federal gov't cannot investigate Federal Unionized employees. Just ask Lois Lerner.

Just think of the number of people that would have to be complicit to pull something like this off. An executive manager couldn't just wave his hands. Line personal would have to follow orders that they knew to be illegal.

Redneck Rules for Personal Hygiene:
- While ears need to be cleaned regularly, this is a job that should be done in private using one's OWN truck keys.
- Proper use of toiletries can forestall bathing for several days. However, if you live alone, deodorant is a waste of good money.
- Dirt and grease under the fingernails is a social no-no, as they tend to detract from a woman's jewelry and alter the taste of finger foods.
