[KhaamaPress] At least eleven Afghan soldiers suffered casualties during a clash in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defense said.
According to a statement released by defense ministry, the Talibs attacked the security posts in Balkh province late on Thursday night.
The statement further added that the Afghan forces responded to the attack and inflicted heavy casualties on Talibs while repelling the attack.
However, those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things... the defense ministry said 6 Afghan soldiers bit the dust during the festivities and 5 others sustained injuries.
The Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... group has not commented in this regard so far.

Governor’s Office in a statement said the Taliban commander, Bashar, killed two Afghan Local Army soldiers in Bati Kot district late on Friday night.
The statement further added that the Afghan forces conducted a retaliatory raid, killing Bashar and his two comrades.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
This comes as numerous incidents involving festivities between the Afghan forces and Talibs have been reported in various provinces during the recent days.
The incidents took place amid ongoing efforts to find a negotiated political settlement to end the conflict.
[KhaamaPress] The police forces in Kabul arrested six gunnies who destroyed an electricity transmission tower in capital Kabul last week.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the Kabul police forces arrested the six suspects during a raid which they conducted last night.
The statement further added that the suspects planned to carry out another attack on security posts in Mir Bacha Kot district at around 11 pm local time.
The group was led by Gul Padshah, the shadow district chief of Taliban ...Arabic for students... group for Qarabagh district of Kabul, the Ministry of Interior added.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.

The population is half Pashtun, the remainder Tadjik and Pashai. It had a repution for great wealth until it was conquered in the tenth century by Abu Mansur Sabuktigin.

Asadullah Dawlatzai, a spokesperson for the provincial government, said a bomb went kaboom! close to a prison in Mehtarlam city earlier today.
According to Dawlatzai, the explosives were placed in a bike which went off as the head of the prison was crossing the area.
He also added that the earth-shattering kaboom killed 3 civilians and maimed 4 others.
No individual or group including Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... has so far grabbed credit for the incident.
Laghman is among the relatively calm provinces in East of Afghanistan but the anti-government armed gunnies including Taliban are active in some of its remote districts where they often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities.

"Six fighters were martyred by live ammunition from ISIS [ISIS] terrorist members in Makishifiya area in the late hours of last night," said the Iraqi Security Media Cell in a statement at midday on Saturday. Another four were killed elsewhere in the Samarra area.
"Hashd al-Shaabi is facing several attacks from different fronts on its security points in Samarra vicinity," the PMF’s media tweeted in the early hours of Saturday morning. Hashd al-Shaabi is an Arabic name for the PMF.
Militants attacked the PMF at five different locations causing "great loss," the force stated.
Samarra is located 125 kilometres north of Baghdad in Saladin province.
The PMF also reported they blew up a "pick up vehicle which was carrying a group of ISIS [ISIS] fighters and was trying to attack a security point in Makishifiya."

Something to be said for an entire society who can turn a hobby into a vocation. We should be alright, as long as we keep our distance.
[KhaamaPress] Some of the Afghan migrants colonists have accused the Iranian forces, border guards, of throwing 57 people into a river which resulting in to the killing of at least 23 of them, it has been reported.
Certain of the survivors of the incident have claimed that the Iranian border guards initially arrested the migrants colonists from a bordering region and later threw them in to Harirod River.
According to reports, the incident took place earlier last week as the migrants colonists were on their way to Iran, apparently for work opportunities.
The local officials in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... have not commented regarding the involvement of the Iranian border guards in the incident but confirm that the public health authorities have received the dead bodies of several people who had apparently drowned.
