A Swedish man has been arrested in Kenya on suspicion of trying to recruit young men for Islamist terrorist group Al-Shabab. The man was reportedly arrested on March 28th in the city Kapsowar in the Rift Valley province in western Kenya.
"The man is Swedish and he's now been taken to Nairobi. There are no more details to give at this time," More details I can not give right now , said Arthur Osiya at Nairobi police to Sveriges Television (SVT).
According to SVT a security source said that the Swede is of Somali origin.
So he's about as Swedish as a chocolate-frosted lutefisk...
According to the Swedish Security Service (Säpo) some 30 people since 2006 have travelled from Sweden to Somalia to take part in pro-Islamist activities.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry was on Friday unable to confirm details of the arrest. The Swedish embassy in Nairobi has not been informed about the man's identity or nationality, and in view of the fact that it is now the weekend, it remained unclear when this information would be forthcoming.
"It is also dependent on whether this person wants contact," said Catarina Axelsson at the ministry's press service to the TT news agency.
"You want [thump!] to talk [thump!] to the [thump!] attachè, "Lars"?
"Owwwww, that really hurts. Please stop."
"We'll take that [thump!] as a "no"."

You know what we're gonna do? We're gonna kill the Swede."

According to reliable sources, 13 men transferred from the Seychelles Island to the Puntland State authorities, were caught trying to escape a prison in Bosaso.
If you want to escape you need to have Sylvester Stallone himself fly a helicopter into the prison yard. Otherwise it's never going to work...
The men were convicted of piracy and transferred to Bosaso of the Bari region. The prison is highly fortified with construction works from the United Nations.
All 13 of the men climbed over the prison building and tried to exit the compound, when the custodial corps officers managed to capture them.
Custodial corps? What did they use, brooms and mops?
They're Punties. What else did they need?
An official from the Puntland State Administration said that the prisoners attempted to escape, but were unsuccessful so therefore their prison service will increase.

Iraqi soldiers killed more than 40 militants in clashes near Baghdad on Thursday as anti-government fighters edged close to the capital just weeks before national parliamentary elections.
On Thursday morning, militants attacked an army camp in Yusifiyah, just southwest of the capital, the interior ministry said in a statement. More than 40 insurgents died in the ensuing firefight, with one army officer also killed.
âIraqi security forces confronted a failed attempt by Daash gang members to break into a military camp,â the statement said.
âThe security forces ... killed more than 40 terrorist attackers, and the attack resulted in the death of one of our officers when he was confronting these criminal gangs.â
Two heavy machineguns, 15 rifles and five grenade launchers were seized, along with other equipment, the statement said.
The clashes in Yusifiyah come after days of fighting in the Zoba and Zaidan areas west of Baghdad. The fighting spurred concerns that militants who have for months controlled the town of Fallujah, a short drive from Baghdad, could be looking to open a new front to encroach on the capital.

MILF did.
Abu Sayyaf and PLA didn't, and probably MILF's "military wing" feels it's not tied by it either.

[AnNahar] Mortar shells slammed into several areas of the Syrian capital on Saturday, with one hitting near the Russian embassy without causing injuries, a monitoring group said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also said regime troops battled rebels in Eastern Ghouta near the capital, while opposition forces tightened their siege of a military base in Idlib province of northwest Syria.
The Observatory reported mortar fire near the Ummayad area and the Russian embassy in the upscale Mazraa neighborhood of Damascus, with no casualties reported.
The Britannia-based group also reported mortar fire in the southern Shughur district and nearby Fahama, where a number of security buildings are located.
Syria's state news agency SANA reported 17 mortar round attacks across the city, causing damage to a hospital as well as several homes and cars.
Mortar shell attacks on the capital on Friday injured 22 people, it said, without giving a toll for Saturday.
The escalation came as government troops stepped up a campaign against rebels on the outskirts of Damascus, particularly Eastern Ghouta which has been under regime siege for months.
The Observatory said rebels and regime troops were fighting in the town of Mleiha in the Eastern Ghouta area.
On Friday, regime warplanes carried out air strikes as soldiers tried to storm the town.
The fighting left 17 rebels dead on Friday, a day after 22 opposition fighters were killed in and around Mleiha, according to the Observatory.
In nearby Jaramana, SANA reported "terrorist mortar shell attacks" injured 13 people on Saturday.
The army siege of Eastern Ghouta has led to food and medical shortages, which the Observatory said had caused the death of a child on Friday.
In Idlib, the Observatory reported fighting between regime and rebel forces in the area around Babuleen, which opposition forces captured on Friday.
Their advance has allowed rebel forces to tighten a siege of the Wadi Deif army base, one of the regime's last significant posts in Idlib.
In northern Aleppo city, the Observatory reported regime air raids with explosives-packed "barrel bombs," a day after 18 people were killed in air raids on the east of the city.

[AnNahar] State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr charged on Saturday 12 Lebanese, including Arab Democratic Party politburo chief Rifaat Eid ...secretary general of the Leb Arab Democratic Party, a Pencilneck regime front organization... , with belonging to an gang, possession of arms and inciting sedition.
State-run National News Agency reported that the 12 men are charged with belonging to an armed terrorist group, seeking to carry out terrorist acts and involvement in gunbattles between the rival neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh in the northern city of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... They are also charged with the possession of arms and inciting sectarian sedition.
The case was referred to the First Military Investigation Judge Riyad Abu Ghida.
11 suspects, including Eid, are runaways.
Rifaat's father, Ali Eid, is wanted for questioning over an August twin car kaboom against two Sunni mosques in Tripoli that killed 45 people.
Security forces kicked off on Tuesday the security plan in Tripoli, seizing arms depots and detaining wanted suspects, who are involved in security chaos in the area.
Even in this deployment, top desperados fled, including Eid, after they were given a warning of the implementation of the plan.
The security plan is an important test case for whether Leb can reverse its slide into conflict, fueled by violent sectarian tensions triggered by the war next door in Syria, particularly between the country's Sunnis and Shiite Mohammedans.
Tripoli witnesses frequent gunbattles between two of the impoverished neighborhoods of Bab al-Tabbaneh, which is dominated by Sunnis who support Syrian rebels, and Jabal Mohsen, which is dominated by Alawites, who share the same sect as Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs... .
Leb's politicians are deeply divided over the Syrian war, and until February, the country was left without a government for nearly a year over it.
Syriaâs state media and an activist group say several mortar shells have struck the capital of Damascus and its suburbs, killing at least six people.
State TV says the deadliest among Thursdayâs attacks occurred in the suburb of Harasta, where six children were killed and eight were wounded. State news agency SANA says five people were wounded when a mortar shell struck the upscale central neighborhood of Maliki.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says shells also struck central Damascus, including the Ummayad Square, which close to the TV and radio stations as well as the army command. It says there were no casualties in the square.
