[PJ Media] Have you noticed it’s becoming harder to differentiate satire from reality? When I first saw the headline about a city in California approving a program to provide transgender and nonbinary residents a guaranteed income, I was sure it had to be from the Babylon Bee.
Oh, but it’s not. It’s also not an April Fool’s joke. It is very much accurate. Earlier this week, the Palm Springs City Council voted unanimously to fund a pilot program that would guarantee a basic income for transgender and nonbinary residents.
So far, $200,000 has been allocated for this program, which is far less than the $900,000 the two organizations originally wanted but still just as insane.
Guaranteed income programs distribute these funds with no strings attached.
According to David Brinkman, CEO and president of DAP Health, one of the organizations behind the pilot program, transgender people are "one of the most marginalized populations in our city who face some of the highest levels of housing insecurity, joblessness and discrimination."
According to a report from the Desert Sun, the two organizations behind this program say it will "provide between $600 and $900 a month to 20 people who live, work or otherwise spend the majority of their time in Palm Springs."
I’m not exactly sure what $900 a month in Palm Springs even gets you. Does it even cover the cost of gas per month?
"The pilot would also include another 20 transgender and non-binary people who would not receive the money and services but would serve as a control group with the intention of determining the degree to which the payments and services are beneficial," the report added.
So what happens if this program takes off and gets even more funding? Will trans and non-binary people be able to move to Palm Springs and get free cash? If that’s the case, what are the criteria for proving you are, in fact, trans or non-binary if it’s all in your head? Could anyone move to Palm Springs, claim to have preferred pronouns that don’t match their biology, and be entitled to $900 a month?
[TOWNHALL] A Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, judge ruled that the state's diversity law requiring corporations to have racial minorities or members of the LGBTQ+ community serve on their board of directors was unconstitutional.
The judge, who handed down the ruling Friday, concluded that the law violated California's constitutional equal protection clause, according to a summary judgment granted to Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group that filed a permanent injunction against the measure.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that the decision "declared unconstitutional one of the most blatant and significant attacks in the modern era on constitutional prohibitions against discrimination."
Signed into law by Democratic Gov. Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom ...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland... in 2020, the law mandates that corporate boards of publicly traded companies with a main executive office in California must have a racial or ethnic minority or a member of the LGBTQ+ community serving on their boards by the end of 2021.
The measure also made it a requirement that, by the end of 2022, two members of an aforementioned "underrepresented community" must serve on the board in corporations with four to nine directors and three such minority directors must serve on a board with more than nine directors.

[Breitbart] Dr. Anthony Fauci over the weekend said Americans need to be “flexible enough to pivot” back to a world with restrictions in place — “more rigid” restrictions, specifically — due to the Chinese coronavirus.
Fauci has used recent media appearances to warn Americans that while trends appear to be going in the right direction, they need to be prepared to bring back coronavirus-era restrictions if public health officials deem it necessary. President Biden’s medical adviser made the same remark during an appearance on BBC’s Sunday Morning program as well, warning that people must be prepared for “a more rigid type of restriction.”
However, he said he does not want to use the word “lockdown” as it is too controversial.
“I don’t want to use the word ‘lockdown’ as that has a charged element to it, but I believe that we must keep our eye on the pattern of what we’re seeing with infections right now,” Fauci said, adding that “we need to be prepared for the possibility that we would have another variant that would come along and then things change.”
“And if we do get a variance that does give us an uptick in cases and hospitalization, we should be prepared and flexible enough to pivot towards going back – at least temporarily – to a more rigid type of restrictions, such as requiring masks indoors,” he said, echoing the sentiments he has offered over the past months.
“You can go ahead and continue to tiptoe towards normality, which is what we’re doing, but at the same time, be aware that you may have to reverse,” Fauci said earlier this month.
Fauci’s remarks on Sunday Morning come days after Hawaii became the final state in the nation to official lift its indoor mask mandate.
He appeared to make another flip flop over the weekend as well, as the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director told WUSA9 that we have “actually gone beyond the pandemic phase and beyond the deceleration stage” in the pandemic, despite the fact that he said the world was just in the first phase of the pandemic mere months ago, in January 2022. What is more, last week Fauci told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos we “have a way to go” in the pandemic:

He's got to be thinking that sooner or later they will get the vaxx formulation right worked out and one of the boosters will finish the job that the poorly crafted chinese virus didn't do at the start.

The only way to truly shutdown COVID is to restrict EVERYONE to their homes. No one goes out for any reason. No contact with anyone not in the house.
Yes, this will cause many deaths - remember, even doctors, nurses, police officers, firemen, etc. will be confined to their houses.
This will be too bad, of course. But the important thing is that people must learn to OBEY!

^ Yes, I did realize you were being /sarc before I got to the tag, Rambler, but in the past few days I've read of two cruise ships with 100% vaxxed passengers and crew developing COVID cases. So. Lockdonds don't work. The vaxx doesn't work.
That won't stop politicians, bureaucrats or COVIDian fanatics from demanding more of both.

...On the other hand, I wonder what the ultimate cost would have been had we actually done that for about three weeks - everybody stays home except for first responders; the Government pays everybody's salary, and the military delivers the food.
I suspect at the very least, it would have been cheaper and less painful than what we actually endured, and might have had better results.

[AMGREATNESS] The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. Alas, all of that hosiery contained nothing but coal.In Dickensian lingo, it had been the "worst of times" since Senile Joe the Imposter entered the White House and, by 2024, it was all coming to its long-awaited, bitter end.
Unlike King Midas of ancient lore, Biden turned everything he touched to rubble. There was nothing he did not literally "f-ck up," to use the crude Obamian vernacular.
Santa Claus was not jolly. In fact, he mostly stopped coming to town a few years back as things got bad, then worse. The misery index was at an all-time high and the dollar was worth less and less.

Aw, now there's the rub. Public school indoctrination. A my people effort. Always has been the draw to DC. Seeing what the dark complected have done. Minority this minority that an artificial petri dish. Howard University perfect example. School founded for minorities not only one particular race.

The current strategic oil reserve holds 562 million barrels. That’s after Biden released 80 million barrels in two lots since being elected. He now plans to burn through another 180 million barrels (1m/day for six months). Not looking prudent to me. Most of the oil comes from US sources - light crude not heavy. So while this will make a negligible impact on gasoline use it’ll have no impact on diesel availability. As a reminder - diesel fuels tractors and the trucks for our supply chain
#4
the chart is of all-products, CPI. not oil prices
the increase in oil prices is partly Biden's fault but also various States that don't permit fracking, some countries that likewise prohibit fracking and also the supply chain problem which has reduced the availability of some of the products that are needed by oil drillers

I thought the strategic oil reserve was for military use during times of war, not to help you save 20 cents a gallon to where ever you're going.

So PJB and the LSD's see no correlation between their Anti-il Reg's and directives.
"USSR OIL OK - USA OIL BAD Logic"
But why should we expect any logical thinking from them? Given they are OK with the murder of a full-gustation baby during its birth process, but just owning a firearm is evil to them.

So now after complaining that Joe Biden is oppressing you by verbally criticizing Russia when it (checks today's mimeograph) executes civilians while fleeing, but you're all about defending Joe Biden's (and the Democratic Party's) last 30 years of bad economic decisions?
It's funny, you have to defend them the half the time they make the decisions to tear the US down and build Russia up, and then commence screeching when they pretend to oppose Russia for the sake of kayfabe.
[REDSTATE] On Wednesday, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed voter identification legislation that will require residents to show proof of citizenship and residency before they register to vote. "Voting rights advocates" are lamenting that it could result in thousands of ineligible registrations.
From CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey on Wednesday signed legislation that would require all Arizonans to provide proof of citizenship and residency to register to vote, sparking criticism from voting rights advocates who say it will potentially cancel thousands of voter registrations and are exploring legal challenges in response.
Voting rights advocates point out that many voters didn’t have to previously provide such proof. Critics also say that such documentation is not readily available when people are filing out the forms.
"People can probably produce (the documentation) if they know they need to, but they’re probably not going to have them in the grocery store (when at a voter registration drive)," Alex Gulotta, Arizona director of All Voting is Local, told CNN Wednesday.
"We’ve never had to do this before!" seems like a weak argument against voter id; and people who go to government services without the correct documentation do what people have done since the beginning of government...they go home and get what they need and come back. The angst over "potentially" cancelling thousands of voter registrations seems misplaced. There’s an easy fix to having your legitimate voting registration cancelled. Just provide the right documents. If you don’t have them, that means you’re not eligible to vote and should not be attempting to vote in the first place.
This is the "tie my shoes" approach to voting. Progressives keep pushing the definition of "disenfranchisement" further and further to the fringes, where any work that an individual has to do in order to vote is considered a roadblock. If someone can’t come to your house, get you dressed, tie your shoes and get you to the polls...disenfranchisement!

When I checked into a Hilton Garden Inn a couple of weeks ago, I had to show my driver's license and a credit card. Question: should it be easier to vote in federal elections than to get a room at a Hilton Garden Inn?

It will also disenfranchise eligible voters by only allowing them to vote once.

So far Ducy has been AWOL regarding election integrity. He has been a speed bump in getting anything done about the rigging in the 2020 election. That said, requiring proof of citizenship to vote is a good thing. Now, don't screw it up. It must be election time again.

This guy spends more time in Delaware than D.C. He probably does't know where he is anyway.
[BIZPACREVIEW] President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences... administration’s newly proposed $5.8 trillion federal budget includes massive spending increases for the Department of Education to promote "racial" diversity.
The new education allocations for fiscal year 2023 include "$100 million for a new Fostering Diverse Schools program" which will use grants to help communities "develop and implement strategies that will build more racially and socioeconomically diverse schools and classrooms, " according to the Department of Education’s (DOE) budget summary.
The program is part of an attempt to "address the well-documented, persistent negative effects of racial isolation and concentrated poverty" through "efforts to increase school racial and socioeconomic diversity in preschool through grade 12."
As part of the initiative, the federal government will partner with state educational agencies "that have significant achievement gaps and racial or socioeconomic segregation within or across districts."

Spend this, spend that. Spend, spend but where does the money really go. I have never seen so many requests for money. The cash cow Ukraine Putin stopped has cause Biden and the Democrat's along with Soros a cash flow problem.
Simply put, what the USA collected in Revenue vs. Spent for the last 4 years:
FY 2021 $3.86 trillion collected vs. $6.8 trillion spent.
FY 2020 $3.71 trillion collected vs. $4.79 trillion spent.
FY 2019 $3.46 trillion collected vs. $4.4 trillion spent.
FY 2018 $3.33 trillion collected vs. $4.109 trillion spent.
Now the LSD's want to spend $5.8 Trillion with official estimates indicating the US will collect only about $3.9 Trillion in actual revenues?
So are they adding about another $2+/- Trillion to the National Debt of $30.35+ Trillion?
QUESTION: Why do we pay taxes at all?
It is clear DC just electronically creates what it wants to spend as it needs it.
BTW: The USA only has about $600 Billion in Gold Assets (248 million Tory Oz.). So the DC created virtually dollars' actual worth is solely based on other nations' perceived worth of it.

Hey - I've got a great idea. Some school district have a racial imbalance - too many whites or too many blacks. We need to diversify them. So, here's my idea: bus the kids who are an excess in their district to another (not necessarily nearby) district. That way, every district will look like America (if that's diverse enough.)

Get back to basics--teach useful subjects and stay away from leftist's "woke" agendas that do nothing but divide us.
#7
Segregate again at school levels. Make a woke excuse that black students just cannot feel confident with whites around, some such thing couched in 'pedagogic' jargon.
Give all the grants and freebies to the black schools, build them palatial universities and grand infrastructure and hire the best of the best [whatever passes for that now] and pour a billion dollars into them.
And let the whites fund their own institutions, with donations, christian NGOs etc.
In two years time you'll have grand campuses on one side; with soot blackened walls, filthy graffiti, shootings and knifings and drug dealers and prostitution, and teachers and principals in hospitals or the cemetary.
And on one side you'll have modestly equipped schools with little diversity but consistent academic performance and only the occassional incident. Human resource will improve, industry won't need so many Indian or Chinese parts in the corporate machines, overall improvement of the economy. Unless laws like the corporate diversity mandate go through.
Of course government will still be fucked up, and growing worse.
