[OREGONLIVE] A Multnomah County judge ruled that Portland Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty must pay a credit card company more than $16,000 in overdue debt and fees after she failed to show up in court to address the matter.
Circuit Judge Judith Matarazzo issued default orders last week in a pair of lawsuits filed by Bank of America in November that alleged Hardesty had defaulted on two credit card accounts, documents show.
[Breitbart] On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) argued that the Biden administration has directly created “the greatest national security crisis that we face as a nation” “by collapsing our southern border” with their immigration policies and that if Title 42 is rescinded, the result will be “a massive new wave of illegal immigrants coming across this border, more fentanyl, more drugs, more human trafficking.”
Hagerty said, “The Biden administration has created the greatest national security crisis that we face as a nation by collapsing our southern border when they came into office. This is a tragedy that’s occurring there. And today, if they allow this to expire, Title 42, that means that this onslaught is going to continue. We’ll see a massive new wave of illegal immigrants coming across this border, more fentanyl, more drugs, more human trafficking. This has been a tragedy of epic proportions. The Biden administration is precipitating this directly. … This is a massive crisis. And I expect that if they allow Title 42 to expire, we’re going to see, again, another wave, another bad wave of immigration coming across this border in an illegal fashion.”
White House comms director Bedingfield acknowledged that “there will be an influx of people to the border” once Title 42 is lifted. She added, “We are planning for that contingency.”
The extent of the planning was made plain the previous day when officials from Homeland Security told reporters that they were planning to manage as many as 18,000 attempted border crossings per day.
[NYPOST] The Washington Post on Wednesday became the second major news outlet to reverse course and admit that emails from the infamous Hunter Biden laptop are authentic — nine months after it obtained them and a year and a half after the New York Post first reported on them. The paper said two security experts used cryptographic signatures from Google and other technology companies to validate nearly 22,000 emails from 2009 to 2019, including messages related to Hunter Biden’s controversial overseas business dealings.
Some verified emails involved a deal President Biden’s son pursued with the CEFC China Energy conglomerate for which he was paid nearly $5 million, according to the Washington Post.
Other verified emails related to his work for the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, for which Hunter Biden was paid as much as $83,333 or a month, or $1 million a year.
In October 2020, the New York Post exclusively revealed the existence of Hunter Biden’s emails after being given a copy of the hard drive from a damaged MacBook Pro laptop that the owner of a repair shop in the Biden family’s hometown of Wilmington, Del., said was dropped off in April 2019 and never retrieved.
The deal was years in the making, the culmination of forging contacts, hosting dinners, of flights to and from China. But on Aug. 2, 2017, signatures were quickly affixed, one from Hunter Biden, the other from a Chinese executive named Gongwen Dong.
Within days, a new Cathay Bank account was created. Within a week, millions of dollars started to change hands.
[NYPOST] Rep. The Ageless and Downright Brilliant Comrade Maxine Impeach 45! Waters ...U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district, serving since 1991, a total of 30.32936 years. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the most senior of the twelve black women currently serving in the United States Congress, and a member and former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Before becoming a member of Congress she served in the California Assembly, to which she was first elected back when Disco was in flower, in 1976, which would make it 45.32730 years. She has been a politician for virtually all her adult life. If she was a little brighter she'd be a Communist... (D-Calif.) tried to stop the publication of a news story about Los Angeles’ homeless crisis this week, reportedly telling a Los Angeles Times scribe: "You’ll hurt yourself and the community trying to put this together."
The Wednesday story by investigative news hound Connor Sheets detailed a March 25 incident in South Los Angeles, where hundreds of homeless people tried to obtain Section 8 housing vouchers after being misled by social media rumors.
The would-be applicants crashed an event held by nonprofit advocacy group Fathers and Mothers Who Care, which had been meant to help the unhoused obtain emergency shelter.
The confusion reportedly overwhelmed the non-profit as well as Los Angeles Housing Services Authority (LAHSA) workers who told the unexpected arrivals that they would only be able to provide their information and enter an emergency housing database.
At one point, Waters told the crowd: "I want everybody to go home," triggering an angry response.
"We don’t got no home, that’s why we’re here!" one member of the crowd yelled back, according to the LA Times. "What home we gonna go to?"
Waters reportedly responded by laughing and saying: "Nothing is going to happen here today."
Soon after, Waters appeared to grow frustrated by a question from a local housing advocacy nonprofit.
One homeless disabled woman, Joyce Burnett, told the Times that Waters instructed the crowd to come back to the South Angeles office the following Tuesday with appropriate documents.
"Maxine Waters was here, and she said to come back Tuesday with our paperwork filled out," Burnett said. "I have it, everything they asked for. But every time we get near the front of the line, they shut the door. They opened the door about 20 minutes ago and said they’re not servicing anyone else today."
When contacted by the LA Times Tuesday, Waters requested the story not be published, saying "it’s a bunch of rumors."
"You’ll hurt yourself and the community trying to put this together without background," she told Sheets, according to the report. "I don’t want you to start trying to write it, you won’t understand it."
Blanca Jimenez, Waters’ district director, responded to questions from the outlet by providing a link to a local TV station’s glowing coverage of Waters’ appearance at the Friday event along with an image of Waters addressing the crowd.
"Someone shared this photo with the office," Jimenez wrote. "Isn’t she brave?"
Waters’ office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

[PJMedia] The Federal Election Commission (FEC) says that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign violated election laws by lying about funding the infamous Steele dossier, which was used to smear Donald Trump and justify the Obama administration seeking a FISA warrant to spy on his campaign. Crooked Hillary's campaign was also fined.
The DNC and the Clinton campaign claimed expenses paid to the left-wing law firm Perkins Coie were legal services when in fact, they went to funding the long-discredited dossier. The FEC says that what the DNC and Clinton campaign did violated the law. What other penalties will be made? Bueller?
According to the FEC, neither the DNC nor the Clinton campaign admitted to lying but won’t contest the finding either in order to settle the matter, the Washington Examiner reports. Wasn't us but we will pay the fines anyway.
“Old news”
"Solely for the purpose of settling this matter expeditiously and to avoid further legal costs, respondent[s] does not concede, but will not further contest the commission’s finding of probable cause to believe," the FEC memo states. We don't want any more bad stuff we did to be discovered.
Don’t get too excited; while the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign paid Perkins Coie over a million dollars that went towards the funding of the bogus dossier, they’re only being fined $105,000 and $8,000, respectively. A mere slap on the wrist.

"Old News" indeed. The Deep State wants the Hill & Bill Show™ gone...

This is the first step. Now they have proof, in court, that Clinton and the DNC conspired to slander Trump. They now have the money trail. Now they can show she did it to change the government of this nation. These are the steps to a RICO conviction. The DNC and DC elites may want the Clintons out of DC, But they are now an organization of co conspirators. This will get interesting.

The FEC just validated Trump's legal suits against the cabal. That shortens discovery. It's a wrist slap from the FEC but the real payout is yet to be seen.

Fines are a slap-on-the-wrist so they can close the case and move on rather than dig any deeper lest they are forced to deal with the treason involved.
[Breitbart] Fifty-five powerful and influential House Democrats are reportedly financially stiffing the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), failing to pay the dues they owe because of the likelihood that Republicans will retake the chamber.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC), and DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) reportedly pleaded with members on Tuesday to pay up. But many members are not paying their dues, perhaps because Democrats perceive the 2022 midterm election as a lost cause. “The House Democratic majority is in deep trouble, with both history and the polls against them; and Republicans have overtaken what’s been traditionally a large lead by the DCCC in fundraising, thanks in part to a huge spurt in online fundraising,” Punchbowl noted.
One congressional Democrat told the publication Pelosi is trying her best to force the “deadbeats” to cough up the money by keeping a list of those who have not paid.
“The speaker is very focused on exactly who’s paid dues and who hasn’t. You really don’t want to be on the wrong list right now,” the member said.
Many of those who are stiffing the committee are some of the most powerful and influential members in the caucus, such as Oversight Chair Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Cori Bush (D-MO), and Jamaal Bowman (D-NY).
Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) has $685,000 in a campaign account, yet refuses to pay any dues. Others stiffing the committee include Transportation and Infrastructure Chair Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Natural Resources Chair Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ).
Many members who are running for different political positions or are retiring from Congress after the midterms also have unpaid dues. Those reportedly include Reps. Peter Welch (D-VT), Tim Ryan (D-OH), Conor Lamb (D-PA), Val Demings (D-FL), and Charlie Crist (D-FL), among others.

...I'm not a big fan of Mr. Gaetz, but in this case I'm behind him 100%. You can bet your (part of one's anatomy) that there were unofficial and official contingencies at DoD if President Trump was to do something they didn't like.

My problem with Gaetz is he knows the answer. Threat assessments are performed on every president. They base it on health, mental health, family, financial, and other criteria. Vulnerabilities are identified and courses of action are in place. Biden's mental health and an action plan based on the 25th amendment are there, congress, certain members, knows what it is and what the threats are.

I thought Biden was the deepState contingency plan?
I can imagine the top men in the DoD and DoS hunched over their laptops in their studies during the pandemic, talking in riddles about King Duncan's increasing uselessness and what to do about the liabilities. But they dutifully character assasdinated Macbeth, now they have shit to work with.
Or wasn't that the story? My English lot's pretty shaky.

Contingency plan as in who would take the helm after the 25th Amendment is invoked? Biden was the best they could do and that was scraping the bottom of the barrel. Next up, Cackle Toe. She lacks the self-control she needs to stop cackling but if she does that instead of calling for Putin's head it might be an improvement.

[NYPOST] Florida GOP leaders are vowing to yank Disney’s quasi-governmental privileges at its Orlando theme park over its opposition to Florida’s so-called "Don’t Say Gay" law.
Florida Rep. Spencer Roach tweeted Wednesday that meetings have been convened to "discuss a repeal" of the Reedy Creek Improvement District agreement that "allows Disney to act as its own government."
The arrangement was created to attract Disney to Florida in 1967 and gives the company control over some operations like law enforcement and fire units.
The new "Don’t Say Gay" legislation, which bans instruction related to sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade, has drawn criticism as being hostile to the LGBTQ community.
Backers assert that it seeks to shield young children from inappropriate subject matter.
Disney — which runs a wildly popular theme park in Orlando — has bashed the legislation as discriminatory.
"Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts," the company said in a statement.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wrecked scow, Agent 49 felt gingerly for his head. It was still there. He had been hoping differently... Republican politician Joe Harding, the bill’s sponsor, said he was returning $3,000 in campaign contributions from Disney in light of their position.

Considering all this and the very weird coming down on the mom who didn't want her 6 year old girl scanned, maybe the park is wildly popular with child rapists on their way to their Private Caribbean Island.

Criminal matters -- and traffic enforcement -- are handled by Orange County. The Reedy Creek setup lets them run their own fire department, ambulance service, water and sewer systems.
