Northeastern regional coordinator Mohamud Saleh said Kenya has accommodated the more than 350,000 mostly Somali refugees in camps in Daadab for 25 years.
Interesting how the Somalis have become the Palestinians of east Africa...
“As a country we are fatigued by the refugees who have not only caused havoc to the environment but have been fueling insecurity in the country,” he said.
Saleh told a high powered delegation from the African Union security council and the UNHCR that the refugees are taking Kenyan hospitality for granted.
“The refugee camps have become a breeding ground for al Shabaab terrorists cells, money laundering, drug and human trafficking,” he added.
Saleh said the Westgate and the Garissa University College terror attacks were planned and executed from Daadab.
“Over 80 per cent of Somalia territory is safe and we don’t see any reason why these camps cannot be moved to such areas,” he said.
The head of the UNHCR delegation, Ahmed Baba, said the intergration of refugees into the community inside Somalia was being hampered by lack of basic infrastructure among them water, schools health and security.
He said 99 per cent of the refugees are still vulnerable and “they cannot just be taken back and left alone”.
“The repatriation should be carried out in a dignified manner. Voluntarily repatriation remains the best option,” Baba said.

Dozens of terrorists were given prison sentences of up to 21 years by an Ethiopia court on Friday for trying to establish an Islamic state and membership of al-Shabaab, the east African offshoot of al-Qaeda.
The 28 defendants received terror training in 2003 and joined al-Shabaab three years later, the Federal High Court heard. They fought across Somalia, including attacks on the African Union Mission in Somalia, and plotted a 2011 terror attack in Ethiopia.
The group’s leader Aman Assefa also led al-Shabaab’s Ethiopian branch, the court was told.
The convicts were given prison sentences ranging from four years, 10 months to 21 years.

[AlAhram] A senior Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, official says a delegation from the Islamic holy warrior group is heading to Cairo to discuss the group's strained relationship with the Egyptian government.
Given the new, 3 km long super-tunnels Hamas has been digging for trade with their ISIS in the Sinai buddies, that conversation should be interesting.
The official spoke anonymously as he is not authorized to brief the media on this issue.
Relations between Hamas and Egypt have soured since the ouster of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi in 2013; Hamas and Morsi's Moslem Brüderbund were close allies.
Egyptian officials have more than once linked Hamas to terror acts in Egypt, which spiked following the toppling of Morsi.
Last week, Cairo accused Hamas of playing a major role in the 2015 liquidation of Egypt's chief prosecutor.
[INFORMATIONNG] More damning discoveries into how the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan ... 14th President of Nigeria. He was Governor of Bayelsa State from 9 December 2005 to 28 May 2007, and was sworn in as Vice President on 29 May 2007. Jonathan is a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP). He is a lover of nifty hats, which makes him easily recognizable unless someone else in the room is wearing a neat chapeau.Other than that he's pretty useless as the Boko Haram debacle shows.. squandered Nigeria’s resources have been made by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with the latest being the disbursement of N2.2 billion to Islamic holy mans to offer prayers against Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... .
An executive director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Aminu Baba-Kusa, said that the money was spent on prayers in Nigeria and Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... to win the war against insurgency in the country.
The N2.2 billion paid to the holy mans is different from the $2.1billion arms fund for which former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd.), is currently standing trial.
According to The Nation, the monies for the prayer was disbursed through the Office of the NSA as proposed by Baba-Kusa.
These revelations were contained in a statement of witness/caution by Baba-Kusa himself and filed in the high court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Baba-Kusa, Dasuki and three others (Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited (owned by Baba-Kusa) and a former director of finance in ONSA, Shuaibu Salisu, are standing trial before the FCT High Court.
The NNPC director confessed that the money was spent on prayers to hasten the defeat of the krazed killers, and that it was released in two tranches of N1,450,000,000 and N750,000,000, adding that the proposal was verbal.
"I approached the former NSA and discussed Boko Haram problems and I suggested there is need for prayers and he considered and accepted in 2013 when he first came to office.
"I personally sponsored many people locally and some few to Saudi Arabia. Some monies were later paid into our companies, which we paid to some of the mallams.
"I then arranged to recover my personal expense which I put into our own businesses.

[ALMANAR.LB] Saudi Arabia has extended a financial and economic assistance of 122 million dollars to Pakistan which is the highest amount Riyadh has officially given to Islamabad in the last five years.
The signing ceremony for the grant, which includes a 67 million dollars package, took place the day Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and army chief General Raheel Sharif were attending the closing ceremony of the multi-nation 'Thunder of the North' military exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan is a member of the military alliance of Muslim countries that Saudi Arabia formed late last year to fight terrorism.

[AnNahar] Iran's state TV is reporting that Iran and Britannia have signed an agreement to establish a total of 42 weekly passenger flights between the two countries.
Thursday's report says the Iranian and the British civil aviation authorities will allow each country to maintain 21 weekly flights to various destinations in the other nation. The TV says there will also be unlimited cargo flights
Under the circumstances, Britain may come to regret this...
British Airways plans to resume its scheduled flights to Iran in July. The carrier halted flights to Tehran in 2012 amid rifts between Iran and the West over Tehran's nuclear ambitions. Iran Air, however, continued its three weekly flights to London.
Last December, Air La Belle France also said it would resume flights to Tehran for the first time in more than seven years, starting in April.

[IsraelTimes] After going briefly off air due to Hollande’s intervention, terrorist group finds new transmitter for its Al-Aqsa channel
Paleostinian terror group Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, was forced to find a new broadcaster for its Al-Aqsa TV channel on Friday after French satellite giant Eutelsat halted transmissions. The move came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday called French President Francois Hollande ...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist... , the Hebrew-language Walla website reported. Netanyahu asked Hollande to intervene to halt the broadcast of Al-Aqsa, and Eutelsat agreed.Netanyahu thanked the president for helping prevent incitement against Israelis and Jews, Walla said.
But the channel was not off air for long, according to the Ynet news website. The terror group on Friday announced it had a new satellite broadcaster, and provided details of the new frequencies.
Still, it was unclear whether Al-Aqsa would have the same audience figures as before, or could even be seen at all in Europe. Eutelsat satellites transmit broadcasts from more than 6,000 channels, covering Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company reportedly reaches over 270 million homes around the world.
In possible retribution, Hamas on Friday night hacked into private satellite dishes broadcasting Israel’s Channel 2 station, airing a chilling warning that it would never stop attacking Israeli targets.
"Get out of our country," the message said in Hebrew and Arabic, against a backdrop of footage from terror attacks and funerals in Israel, along with cartoons of would-be attackers armed with guns, hatchets and knives. The three-and-a-half minute interruption also included footage of Arab Israeli terrorist Nashat Nilhem, who bumped off three people in a January 1 shooting spree in Tel Aviv.
The hack was followed by a volley of rocket fire from Gazoo, which is ruled by Hamas. All four rockets fell in open areas in southern Israel.
Israel on Thursday night raided a West Bank television station affiliated to Paleostinian terror group Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... , shutting the offices and confiscating equipment, as part of a crackdown on Paleostinian incitement.
[AA.TR] The Syria-based terrorist organization PYD should never be considered as a reliable partner for defeating Daesh [Islamic State], Turkish foreign minister said at the fifth meeting of the "Turkish-British Tatlidil Forum" in London Saturday.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu differed from the views of his British counterpart, Philip Hammond, at the forum, who said the PYD needed to be part of the political process in Syria.
"A terrorist organization should never be a reliable partner to defeat another terrorist organization," Cavusoglu said, adding: "In this case, my opinion is a little bit different than Philips regarding the PYD. For us, the PYD and the PKK are the same, there is no difference. When you look at the structures of the PYD, you see the PKK terrorist elements".
The Turkish minister also highlighted links of the PYD with the Bashir al-Assad regime and Russia.
"PYD is not only an ally of the regime, but also the ally of Russia. Therefore, a terrorist organization should not be a reliable partner to defeat another terrorist organization," he said.
"A terrorist organization, which is not radical Islamist should not be [considered] a better one than Daesh [Islamic State] or Al-Nusra. From time to time, Al-Nusra is also fighting Daesh [Islamic State] for their interest; therefore, we cannot legitimize any other terrorist organization just because they are fighting others on the ground. Therefore, the PYD should never be a reliable partner to defeat Daesh [Islamic State]," he said.
Cavusoglu said the international coalition forces were enough to defeat terrorist organizations.

Oh, la, la. I'm waiting to hear that Ted Cruz (It's Donald's own fault) has to say about this.

Typical gullible Trumpbots, you've been taken in by a hoax video. While you're busy figuring out how to evolve an opposable thumb, do some research instead of believing everything the whores at Trumbart publicize, and the idiocy that Trump spouts on a regular basis.
Trump is lying to you, just like Obama and the GOPe do.
Gromgarou and Jvalentour, you owe Cruz people an apology. Or else stand there and look stupid because your guy got taken in by an internet hoax video.
Blaming violence on an internet hoax video? Sounds familiar. Look at what you just did.

Thirong, I was a Cruz supporter, but I have to admit that over the weekend he did willfully and with retardation apparent shove his (deleted) into the meatgrinder and started cranking...

If Trump gets the nomination, I am in his corner.
If Cruz gets the nomination, I am in his corner.
Trump has a Bronx school yard approach to the wise guys. A protester was sucker punched in the face by a Trump supporter. Trump has offered to pay the legal fees of the supporter who punched the protester. A Breitbart woman reporter was grabbed and almost knocked to the floor by Trumps campaign manager who filed assault charges on the campaign manager.
Cruz is stepping in and telling Trump to chill on the physical stuff.
I report, you decide.

One thing to be clear about - criticism of Trump incitinv violent behavior, which is well deserved, does not excuse Bernie on the socialists side. The difference is that Trump egging on violence in his followers only seems to bring a small percentage of them to foaming at the mouth stupidity. They tarnish the entire group and Trump has no moarl qualms about using Hitlerian style threats of violence to power his rise. But in the end, it is still only a small percentage of his followers are stupid and violent enough to respond.
Call them useful fools.
Now on the other side, look at BLM, Bernie, Ayers, Obama etc. The SJWs and progressives people seem to be primed for violence. And they have no qualms at all about silencing opposition via intimidation and threats. These people are True Believers, every bit as nasty and dangerous as the Klan or Stormfront. But they get soft treatment from the press instead of exposure.
So if there is such a thing as "wrong and more wrong", this is it. Trump is wrong, but Bernie/BLM/Obama are "more wrong".

The problem with the riots and the confrontations is the leftist brownshirts.
It's the left that keeps insisting "get in their faces and punch back twice as hard" and "we need some muscle over here." OWS may have failed but the left has finally assembled a force of brownshirts out of the BLM movement. (wait, is that racist?)
THAT is the face of the enemy. And I do not require perfection from Trump or any other candidate that put themselves in harms way by answering their provocations.

There are six candidates ...
Bernie Sanders socialist/politician;
Hillary Clinton email specialist/politician;
Donald Trump builder/business man;
Ted Cruz evangelist/politician;
Marco Rubio politician;
John Kasich politician;
what do most of these people have in common?
which one would you choose?
Doesn't make any difference dudes/dudettes cause it ain't a republic anymore. It's an oligarchy. Find your patron or just waste your time imagining a bygone era.
You and yours allowed this to evolve as each and everyone competed for all the money and power that has been concentrated. Those who have it are not going to give it up politely. Them's that got, get. Nice is not going to work. Only when it all falls you might, just might get an opportunity to get back to smaller less authoritarian government.
Rather ironic your choice of moniker - Procopius was a historian for Justinian, but was also 2 faced, wrote a Secret History just in case Justinian got tossed, in order to cover his butt. Nice choice. Deliberate?
I do admire the nice liberal style, studied distancing, soi disant aloof, critical, yet in the end taking a path that is intellectually cowardly and lazy, not taking a stand that anything is worth fighting for or pushing for.
Tell us oh wise one, is there anything left in this nation worth fighting for... because it looks like you consistently advocate Clayton Williams advice for rape: "If it's inevitable, just relax and enjoy it."
You should feel fortunate there may yet be enough brave men and women to pick up your slack. How was your military career - you sound like a REMF.

Also Procto, do you dispute the truth in what I wrote? Or are you too weak or lwzy intellectually to actually, you know, think about things instead of striking a pose?
A Somali man who admitted lying during immigration proceedings and a terrorism investigation was sentenced Thursday in San Antonio to eight years in prison, as he steadfastly denied any link to a suspect in bombings in Uganda six years ago that killed more than 70 people.
Abdullah Omar Fidse has never been charged with terrorism but the FBI says it has tied him to al-Shabab, an Islamic militant group in East Africa aligned with Al Qaeda.
Good enough for me...
Prosecutors said a phone number agents found in Fidse’s cell phone’s memory card link him to Mohamed Suleiman, a suspect facing trial in Uganda over the deadly, simultaneous bombings that took place in that country in July 2010 during the World Cup final. Militants with al-Shabab took responsibility for the attack, which also killed and injured Americans.
In December 2012, Fidse pleaded guilty to lying on an asylum application he submitted after he and a woman he traveled with were detained at the Hidalgo port of entry on the Texas-Mexico border in January 2008. He also pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents who were investigating his alleged affiliation with terrorists.
But we don't need any security on our southern border according to Champ and Loretta...
The terrorism investigation was opened after one of Fidse’s fellow inmates at an immigration jail in Pearsall told the feds
That's Wally the Weasel, reducing his 10 to 20 down to a 3 to 5...
that Fidse had made statements supportive of terrorists and saying he had paid for a $100,000 armed “technical” vehicle for al-Shabaab that was destroyed in a 2006 battle in Somalia. So-called “technicals” are often pickups mounted with a machine gun. He was later recorded “advocating for global jihad against infidels,” prosecutors claim.
If Wally wore a wire he's out on parole this very day...
“Without any doubt, the FBI was conducting a terrorism investigation into the defendant’s past terrorism activities and current potential terrorism activity; had it not done so, the FBI would have been neglecting its duty to protect the homeland from a terrorist in its midst,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Roomberg wrote in a sentencing memorandum in Fidse’s case.
At Thursday’s hearing, Roomberg told U.S. District Judge Fred Biery that when confronted by the FBI, Fidse lied about his past and his affiliations and by doing so, obstructed the FBI’s efforts to learn about potential terrorist plots.
“I will admit we are speculating that maybe the (bombing) plan could have been disrupted, but at least we could have passed the information on,” Roomberg said.
Fidse’s lawyer, assistant federal public defender Molly Roth, said her client disputes “many, many facts in this case.”
"Lies, all lies! Your honor."
For instance, she said there is no evidence Fidse put the number linked to Suleiman in the memory card, and said the informants or someone else said the things the FBI accuses Fidse of saying in detention.
“This case is about words and words alone,” Roth argued. “Mr. Fidse … is not a terrorist. There is no evidence he intended to promote (terrorism) directly or by obstruction.”
Roth asked Biery to sentence Fidse to the time he’s already spent behind bars, which includes time in jail awaiting immigration asylum proceedings. She argued that without a terrorism enhancement, a measure that increases a defendant’s sentence, Fidse only faced up to six months in jail.
But Biery enhanced the sentence, giving Fidse four years on each count, stacked.
It was the second time Biery had sentenced Fidse to eight years. After the first time in 2013, Fidse appealed and the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals vacated Fidse’s sentence because it said Biery didn’t clearly state his rationale for a terrorism enhancement to raise Fidse’s sentence.
This time, Biery made sure said the government had established sufficient evidence and noted findings supporting the enhancement, including that Fidse made statements linking him to terrorists and the technical vehicle and that the disputed phone number was that of the bombing suspect Suleiman.

Six organizations that work with Somali youth in Minnesota have been awarded $300,000 in grants as part of a federal pilot project designed to combat terrorism, the nonprofit group that is administering the funds announced Thursday.
The grant recipients include a youth sports group, a program that empowers Somali parents, an organization that plans to enhance youth employment opportunities and a group that addresses mental health issues for refugees. An additional $100,000 has been set aside to help with technical assistance, professional development and other resources with the goal of keeping the programs going on their own in the future. Protection money - the (next to) last resort of a threatened prostitute .

[AA.TR] Prominent Shia holy manMoqtada Tater al-Sadr ... the Iranian catspaw holy man who was 22 years old in 2003 and was nearing 40 in 2010. He spends most of his time in Iran, safely out of the line of fire, where he's learning to be an ayatollah... on Saturday called on supporters to stage a sit-in outside Baghdad’s Green Zone -- an apparent reversal of earlier pledges to keep his followers away from the international zone.
"Every Iraqi who is loyal to the country must rise up and begin a new phase of peaceful protest... by holding a sit-in in front of the gates of the Green Zone until the end of the prescribed period, by which I mean the 45 days," al-Sadr declared in a statement.
On Feb. 12, al-Sadr gave the government of Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi 45 days to draw up a non-sectarian-based government of technocrats mandated with uprooting official corruption and streamlining state bureaucracy.
Last week, he warned that his followers would storm Baghdad’s Green Zone -- which houses government institutions and foreign embassies -- if the deadline passed without the demands being met.
On Friday, tens of thousands of al-Sadr's followers demonstrated in Baghdad and Iraq’s southern provinces -- for the third week in a row -- to reiterate their demands.
Abdul Aziz al-Zalmi, a member of Iraq’s Al-Ahrar bloc, a Sadrist Shia political coalition, attributed al-Sadr's calls for a sit-in outside the Green Zone to "the lack of seriousness on the part of the government in carrying out the promised reforms".
"Now," al-Zalmi told Anadolu Agency, "the government must confront the street, which demands a new government of non-partisan technocrats."
Last summer, Iraq’s parliament approved a comprehensive raft of reforms proposed by al-Abadi. The reforms are intended to meet longstanding popular demands to eliminate government corruption and streamline state bureaucracy.
Al-Sadr's bloc in parliament holds 34 seats in the 328-seat assembly and three ministerial portfolios in Iraq’s current government.

[ALMANAR.LB] Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday urged the UN's special envoy on Syria to include Kurds in upcoming talks that aim to resolve the five-year Syrian civil war.
"I am convinced that Staffan de Mistura should take such a decision," Lavrov told news hounds at a joint news conference with his Chinese counterpart.
"Launching negotiations without the participation of this group would be a sign of weakness from the international community," Lavrov said.
Russia's top diplomat argued that holding talks on forming a new ruling structure in Syria to prepare constitutional reform and elections without Kurds would be "a most serious infringement of the rights of a large and significant group living in Syria."
Kurds are "allies both of the US coalition and Russia" and control at least 15 percent of Syrian territory," Lavrov added.
Lavrov hit out at The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... , saying that "only Turks are blocking the invitation of Kurds from the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD)," criticizing this as "an ultimatum."
Turkey accuses the PYD of being the Syrian branch of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
The issue of the Syrian Kurds has caused a rare rift between Ankara and Washington.
De Mistura told Russian state news agency RIA Novosti Friday that "we are not sending out new invitations" to the upcoming talks, in response to a question on broadening opposition participation.
At the same time, in comments translated into Russian, he stressed the importance of "ensuring as far as possible inclusiveness and participation of all Syrians who can make a contribution to Syria's future."
The UN is hoping to restart peace talks that collapsed last month, building on a ceasefire that has led to the first significant decline in violence in Syria's nearly five-year civil war.
A new round of talks aimed at ending the war in Syria will begin in Geneva on March 14 and will last no longer than 10 days, the UN mediator has said.
