Hillary will survive her email woes, but scandals serve as tests that show the strengths and weaknesses of politicians. What the email scandal showed is that Hillary lacks her husband's breezy ability to weather political outrage. Instead her paranoia and resentment combine to make her scandals worse.
...Discounting wild cards, like ex-losers Al Gore and John Kerry trying to mount a comeback, or Vermin Supreme's candidacy suddenly catching fire (he's running on a platform of fully funding time travel) that just leaves the Democratic Party with Joe Biden.

The daughter-unit and I have often lately wondered if Joe Biden is doing an 'I Claudius' impression - that is, surviving in a dynasty of brutal, backbiting authoritarians by being the genial, harmless numbskull.
Makes about as much sense as any other theory, I guess.

On March 2, a contingent of the Punjab Police, deployed outside the Punjab Assembly building, manhandled a group of demonstrators who happened to be not only blind but right. They were agitating in support of their demands for regularisation of their services and implementation of 2pc job quota, a promise made to them by the Punjab government.
They could not have known that redress was not to be found in Faisal Square. The 'deaf' inside the assembly could not, would not hear the blind outside. The young jobless demonstrators were transported to the true crucible of power -- Raiwind, where their grievances were resolved by Hamza Sharif, MNA and son of the Chief Minister Punjab Mr Shahbaz Sharif ...Pak dynastic politician, brother of PM Nawaz Sharif, chief minister of Punjab... . Orders were issued. These have trickled down and now reached the sedimentary level of the Government Secondary Institute for the Blind, Sheranwala Gate, where former pupils can now be regularised as teachers.
