[ToloNews] Residents of Paghman district in Kabul claimed that three non-combatants were killed in an operation by Afghan forces in the Arghandi village in the district on Sunday night.
The residents closed the Kabul-Maidan Shahr highway to protest against the government over the incident.
The residents took the bodies of those apparently killed in the operation to the highway and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
They said that the victims were three brothers and had a shop and were killed in their home.
"They were stabbed first and were shot after that. They were thrown in a small room," said Ziaratgul, a relative of those killed.
"We will close the Kandahar highway for the next three days if our demand is not met," said a relative.

Paghman district governor Mohammad Naeem Ibrahimi criticized what he called a lack of coordination among relevant offices for the operation. No security institution commented on the incident.

The operation was launched in various parts of the Afghania valley in Nijrab district with the support of commandos and the Afghan Air Force, the statement said, adding that "30 Taliban, including 16 Pak national who are members of al-Qaeda were killed."
The statement said that the Hajiyan, Khalifagan, Zakirkhel Kochak and Badakhel villages in the valley were cleared of turbans.
The statement did not provide further details about the operation.
The Taliban so far has not commented on the operation.

Two different sets of assailants struck the ethnic Dogon villages of Gorey, Simikanda and Djamnati in Mali's Mopti region, which has been ravaged in recent years by Islamist and inter-ethnic violence, the officials said.
Moulaye Guindo, the mayor of Bankass, which is near Gorey and Simikanda, blamed the attacks on the same gunnies who killed eight people in attacks on a Malian military post and a gendarme base last Thursday.

Guindo and Yacouba Kassogué, the deputy mayor of Doucoumbo, which is near Djamnati, said four people were killed in Gorey, four in Djamnati and one in Simikanda.

[DW] The governor of Zamfara state has said that 279 girls taken from a school are "now safe." Their abduction was the second mass school kidnapping to take place in Nigeria this year.
Hundreds of Nigerian students kidnapped from their boarding school in the northern state of Zamfara have been released, state governor Dr. Bello Matawalle said on Tuesday.
"Alhamdulillah! It gladdens my heart to announce the release of the kidnapped students of GGSS Jangebe from captivity," Matawalle wrote on Twitter. "This follows the scaling of several hurdles laid against our efforts. I enjoin all well-meaning Nigerians to rejoice with us as our daughters are now safe."
Local outlet Premium Times said that the girls were released at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Shahid-ur-Rehman, was caught from Hangu in a raid. The officials claim the arrested man has also confessed to the crime.
Earlier, taking notice of the shooting that occurred late on Saturday night, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had given the police 48 hours to nab the culprits.

His comments came in the wake of a US company''s report claiming that amidst the border tension in Ladakh last year, a Chinese government-linked group of hackers targeted India''s critical power grid system through a malware.
The report raised suspicion whether the massive power outage in Mumbai was a result of the online intrusion.

Khalida Jarrar, a senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine (PFLP), was sentenced on Monday to two years in prison after being held in an Israeli jail for more than a year without charges, the Israeli military said on Sunday.
"The Judea Military Court convicted Khalida Jarrar, by her own confession, of the offense of holding office in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine from 2016 until her arrest in 2019," the army said in a statement.

[LI] A recent report published by the Israel-based Alma Research and Education Center revealed the Iran-backed Hezbollah is erecting more missile launch sites in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
The missiles aimed at Israel are located in the city’s crowded neighborhoods, a tactic to deter the Israeli military from targeting the sites in case of an armed conflict.

On September 29, 2020, during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled three more sites related to Hezbollah’s missile deployment in Beirut.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s exposure proved our working assumption as presented in our report: The launch sites are in close proximity to the missile production and storage sites, thus maintaining an immediate and instant launching capability. After the publication of our report last July, we continued extracting intelligence collected and persisted on the extraction of new information.

We were recently able to identify four new sites belonging to Hezbollah’s missile deployment in Beirut: a commanding and control site, two production and storage sites, and one launch site.
The terrorist militia unveiled four new sites connected to the Iranian-made Fatah 110 medium-range ballistic missile system. It also included the coordinates of the newly identified site in Beirut, surrounded by heavily populated areas.
"Hezbollah plans to launch these weapons toward civilian targets and population concentrations in Israel from within or adjacent to residential buildings. Hezbollah believes that this tactic will grant it immunity against IDF’s attacks," the report concluded.
In a July 2020 report, Alma exposed Hezbollah’s cynical human shield ploy.
"Hezbollah stores its weapons in civilian structures and in the proximity of densely populated areas throughout Lebanon, with the highest concentration in the capital city of Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon," the study said.
The latest findings confirm assertions made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his September 2020 speech to the United Nations General Assembly when he identified several Hezbollah rocket launch sites in Beirut’s residential areas.
"I say to the people of Lebanon, Israel means you no harm. But Iran does," Netanyahu said during his UN speech. "Iran and Hezbollah have deliberately put you and your families in grave danger. And what you should make clear is that what they have done is unacceptable. You should tell them, tear these depots down."
Shortly after the early Friday attack, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 22 fighters from Iraq's state-sponsored Hashed al-Shaabi paramilitary force were killed.
The strike was in retaliation for three recent missile attacks on installations used by US and coalition forces in Iraq.
Those were believed launched by Iran-backed militias that operate under the umbrella of Hashed al-Shaabi.
"This was really designed to do two things: to remove that compound from their utilization of it as an entry control point from Syria into Iraq," Pentagon front man John Kirby said.
And did this accomplish that?
"And, two, to send a very strong signal that we're not going to tolerate attacks on our people and our Iraqi partners."
Uh huh. I’m sure Iran is very impressed with one death and two injuries among the cannon fodder.
