The Republican Jewish Coalition has been around since 1985, and there is quite a variety of Jewish gun groups, so after AIPAC made the rounds suggesting to pro-Israel politicians that they give Iran another chance, this makes perfect sense.

[MAGHAREBIA] Derna residents live a life of fear. Al-Qaeda has transformed their eastern Libya port city into a new base for its global campaign and as the prime export centre for jihadists.
Known for its long history of fierce fighters and proud tribes, Derna has faced relentless violence. Now it will not have a say in national governance because it is too unsafe to vote.
The night before last week's constituent assembly elections, six polling stations were struck by bombs. The High National Election Committee (HNEC) had rescheduled the ballot for Wednesday (February 26th), but the Derna Local Council said elections could not be held since no one was securing the polling centres.

[An Nahar] The United States on Friday officially opened a new military transit hub in Romania which will play a key role for American forces leaving Afghanistan.
Major General John O'Connor, in charge of logistical support, said the Mihail Kogalniceanu airbase near the Black Sea would act as a "center of gravity" for the U.S. draw down.
"We anticipate 20 to 30,000 troops from Afghanistan to transit here in the course of 2014," he said at the inauguration.
The U.S., which had about 34,000 troops in Afghanistan at the end of January, is planning to pull out most of its combat forces and equipment by the end of this year.

Be a shame if things got out of control in the neighborhood and the Russians put an air cap over the Black Sea. Yet another reason Champ will do nothing in the Ukraine.
[DAWN] Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday stated that no military operation was going on in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and only targeted action was being carried out, DawnNews reported.
Speaking in the National Assembly, the minister said the government had not made its mind up on launching a military operation and no such decision would be taken in a stealthy manner.
He said the damage to the local population as a result of the targeted action was minimal, adding that the numbers of those displaced in the aftermath was not great enough to require a process of formal transportation and registration.
Nisar said that in case the government did decide to launch a military operation, the call would likely take three to four weeks' time.
Earlier on at least two occasions, the minister had said that after the recent surge in violence the government had decided to target the place from where the act of terrorism originated. Regardless of the place where an act of violence takes place the government will hit turbans' headquarters.
Speaking on the floor of the House today, the minister further said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf... would call a meeting of the four chief ministers on the security policy at some point in the coming week.
The minister had earlier said that role of the centre and the provinces with respect to security would be determined at the premier's meeting with the chief ministers. He has also been stressing the need for coordinated action by the federating units on security matters.

[Algemeiner] As Amnesty International published an anonymous 85-page report condemning Israel on Thursday, NGO Monitor, the Jerusalem-based charity watchdog, highlighted the backgrounds of Amnesty's researchers, several of whom were full-time anti-Israel activists before joining the human rights group. Anybody surprised? These multi-national NGOs need to go away. They've long outlived their usefulness.
Israeli police placed an age limit on Friday for Palestinians to enter the Al Aqsa mosque compound during the prayers to prevent possible clashes.
No one under 80 allowed...
The move follows an attempt earlier in the week by an Israeli radical member of parliament to introduce a bill that calls for the application of Israeli sovereignty over the Al Aqsa mosque compound.
Israeli police allowed males above the age of 50 and all females to enter the Al Aqsa mosque compound for Friday prayers. The decision came after police clashed with Palestinians at the compound on Tuesday.
The discussion, which did not result in a vote or any practical measures, sparked fury in the Muslim world, with the parliament of Jordan the custodian of the site voting to expel Israels envoy and its premier warning Amman might review its peace treaty with Israel.

[An Nahar] The opposition Syrian National Council said Friday it will rejoin the umbrella coalition from which it withdrew in protest at the Geneva peace talks with the regime.
The SNC, the biggest bloc in Syria's opposition-in-exile, quit the National Coalition on January 20 because of its participation in the talks.

The Council said the decision came after the talks in Switzerland ...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell... "failed to achieve the goals of the Syrian people".
A second round of talks in Geneva between regime representatives and the opposition, dubbed Geneva II, ended on February 15 without results and with no date set for more negotiations.
The SNC said it supported the "unity of the Syrian opposition," and called for a "closing of its ranks to achieve the goals of the Syrian revolution".
Syria's war has since March 2011 killed more than 140,000 people and forced millions more to flee.

Security sources unveiled that scheme was reaching the zero-hour.

The Abdullah Azzam Brigades ... Leb's current al-Qaeda affiliate, named after a guy whose car the current head of al-Qaeda had boomed... grabbed credit for the double bombing, vowing additional attacks in retaliation to Hizbullah ...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran.
