An arrest warrant has been issued in Egypt for the administrator of a Facebook page entitled "Diaries of a Suffering Husband," due to comments he made on television claiming a third of married women in the country are unfaithful, according to a report by Al-Arabia.
Taymour el-Sobky made the comments on a popular evening talk show called "Mumkin" back in December but his statements only generated controversy after being posted on social media this week.
[Iran Press TV] UN peacekeepers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo ...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material... have been accused of sexually abusing four children who were living in a camp for displaced civilians in the Central African Republic.
The four victims were sexually abused between 2014 and 2015, UN front man Farhan Haq told news hounds on Tuesday.
The UN mission in the Central African Republic has been hit by a wave of allegations of sex abuse by its peacekeepers, whose mandate is to protect civilians in the strife-torn country.
"These four allegations involve peacekeepers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo," Haq said.
UN officials received information about the allegations from aid groups on February 11 who reported that the four minors were living at Ngakobo camp, in the Ouaka prefecture of the Central African Republic.

Most countries treat UN peace keeping duties as a money generator. The only forces worth a damned are from the 1st world, the rest are just a fig leaf to make things look more 'international'.
[MIAMIHERALD] The United States and Cuba signed a civil aviation agreement Tuesday morning, paving the way for scheduled airline service between the two countries for the first time in more than 50 years.
The agreement, which was signed at the Hotel Nacional in Havana, set the clock ticking for U.S. airlines to apply for route authorities and flight frequencies to the island. The pact allows up to 20 daily flights to Havana and up 10 flights daily to nine other Cuban destinations with international airlines.
Although U.S. airlines have been formulating plans since December when U.S. and Cuban negotiators reached an agreement on a memorandum of understanding, they now have 15 days to submit their applications to the U.S. Department of Transportation. The arrangement covers both passenger and cargo airlines.
"In making its selection, the Department will consider which proposals will offer and maintain the best service to the traveling and shipping public," DOT said in a statement.
The United States and Cuba will sign an agreement Tuesday authorizing up to 110 daily US commercial flights to Havana and nine other destinations in the communist island.
Terms of the agreement allow for regular flights "between any city in the US and any city in Cuba," provided it is equipped with proper infrastructure for international flights, he added.
Besides Havana, flights will be allowed to Camaguey, Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo, Cienfuegos, Holguin, Manzanillo, Matanzas, Santa Clara and Santiago de Cuba.
Although the understanding formally opens the door for Cubana airlines to operate future flights into the United States, none are allowed to arrive at present.

Great. Next step will be the FAA authorizing Cuban FBOs to work on US registered aircraft. Don't know about you, but while the baling wire held together 56 Buicks may be kind of neat to look at, when they break down they can't fall out of the road.
Don't want none of that 'el monster garage-o' crap on anything I might be flying in....

As another meeting on the ceasefire in the nearly two year old civil war in southeastern Ukraine is set to convene, both sides are accusing the other of ceasefire violations.
The meeting to discuss the ceasefire in southeastern Ukraine is set to take place in Minsk today.
According to a news account which appeared in the Russian language korrespondent.net, the Ukrainian Anti Terrorist Operation that oversees Ukrainian military operations in that region said on Tuesday that three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another seven were wounded in artillery attacks by separatists.
Ukrainian military spokesman Alexander Motuzyanik said that every third ceasefire violation by the Russian backed rebels included a mortar attack. Most of the attacks were centered around the Zaistevo - Mayorsk line in western Donetsk. Reports of small arms attacks were noted near the airport, and in Krasnogorovka and Marinka.
The report also said that rebels have fired on Ukrainian troops in northern Lugansk.
According to an official news release by the Donetsk ministry of defense, Ukrainian forces fired on rebel positions a total of 173 times over the past 24 hours.
According to Donetsk ministry of defense spokesman Colonel Eduard Basurin, 82mm and 120mm mortar and small arms fire were reported in Dokuchaevsk, which is south of Donetsk city, in Zaytsevo and in Gorlovka, which is well north of Donetsk city
Mortar and antiaircraft gunfire were reported in western Donetsk city, in the village of Dzerzhinskoye and the Petrovsky district and in the Volvo Center.
Basurin said some of the fire came from the Ukrainian 14th Brigade and the Ukrainian 95th Airmobile Brigade.

[FOXNEWS] The Chinese military has deployed an advanced surface-to-air missile system to one of its contested islands in the South China Sea according to civilian satellite imagery exclusively obtained by Fox News, more evidence that China is increasingly "militarizing" its islands in the South China Sea and ramping up tensions in the region.
The imagery from ImageSat International (ISI) shows two batteries of eight surface-to-air missile launchers as well as a radar system on Woody Island, part of the Paracel Island chain in the South China Sea. It is the same island chain where a U.S. Navy destroyer sailed close to another contested island a few weeks ago. China at the time vowed "consequences" for the action.
Woody Island is also claimed by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and by Vietnam.
This isn't a surprise. These islands are military bases, complete with airstrips and harbors. Of course they're going to have anti-air protection. If we built up a reef like this we'd have a Patriot battery on it.

Again, there are circles or factions widin both the PLA + CPC/CCP that desire China to put out a tough MilPol response to the US incursions, e.g. USN-led FONOPS.

If we built up a reef like this we'd have a Patriot battery on it.
We'll see if they made good anti-theater ballistic capable copies thereof. Point targets are just primary sitting ducks for 'relatively' cheap but good medium range missiles.
[Breitbart] In the middle of her Tuesday speech in Harlem that discussed race relations, Hillary Clinton had multiple coughing fits that prevented her from getting her words out on more than one occasion.
It got so bad that the audience enthusiastically started chanting "Hillary! Hillary!" to provide encouragement as Clinton started taking sips of water while popping in a cough drop.
She struggled to finish her speech in which she said that white Americans needed to recognize their "privilege" and help black Americans overcome "seen and unseen" barriers to opportunity and coughed some more as she exited the stage.
Hillary also had a coughing fit during last year's Benghazi hearings.

I find her speeches improve when punctuated with extended coughing jags.

I looked up coughing fits on Google. GERD is often mentioned. I saw fibromyalgia. Post nasal drip. Allergies to molds. I am also wondering if she had a stroke that affected the muscles in her throat.
With all the different reasonably understandable causes for coughing fits, I'm surprised she hasn't just come clean about it.
