[WashingtonExaminer] The Loudoun County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Virginia will no longer prosecute certain misdemeanor charges in an effort to crack down on more violent mostly peaceful crimes, according to a letter sent to local judges in late December.
Attorney Buta Biberaj announced her office would no longer prosecute certain misdemeanor charges beginning next week in an effort to allocate resources toward more violent mostly peaceful cases, she wrote in a letter to county judges on Dec. 30. Instead, certain misdemeanors, such as hit-and-runs and public intoxication, will be deferred to local courts and law enforcement.
Biberaj provided a list of misdemeanor crimes that would no longer be under her jurisdiction, including reckless driving, speeding, trespassing, petty larceny, underage drinking, failure to appear in court, noise complaints, and more.
The changes will take effect on Monday, and any misdemeanor crimes committed before that date are expected to be prosecuted by the OCA. In the meantime, the attorney’s office will work with local law enforcement to "provide trainings and guidance so that they are best prepared to present these cases to your courts," according to the letter.

Soon, you just won't be allowed in the store. Place order online for pickup or delivery, pay in advance. Already at the Publix near me at least 20% of the shoppers outside peak hours are Publix employees picking orders for pickup.

[EpochTimes] Treasury Security Janet Yellen warned the United States is projected to hit its $31.4 trillion debt borrowing limit by next week, according to a letter she sent to congressional leaders on Friday.
In a letter (pdf) to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... (R-Calif.), Yellen wrote that according to projections, the country will hit the debt ceiling by Jan. 19. If that deadline passes without Congressional action to raise the borrowing limit, the Treasury would have to take "certain extraordinary measures" to avoid a default on its obligations.
Measures that could be implemented by the Treasury Department include temporarily redeeming existing and suspending new investments of the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Fund as well as the Civil Service, Retirement, and Disability Fund. The Department would also suspend investment into the Government Securities Investment Fund of the Federal Employees Retirement System Thrift Savings Plan, she said.
"Failure to meet the government’s obligations would cause irreparable harm to the U.S. economy, the livelihoods of all Americans, and global financial stability," she wrote in a letter that will trigger discussions and new proposals in Congress on whether to pass a debt limit increase. Some Republican members of Congress have said they would agree to a bill to raise the debt limit to pass additional spending cuts.
Yellen noted that the Treasury cannot estimate how long the extraordinary measures will enable the federal government to pay its obligations but asserted "it is unlikely that cash and extraordinary measures will be exhausted before early June."
As of Wednesday, Treasury data showed that U.S. federal debt stood $78 billion below the limit, with the Treasury operating a cash balance of $346.4 billion. The department on Thursday reported an $85 billion December deficit as revenues eased and outlays grew, particularly for debt interest costs.
"It is therefore critical that Congress act in a timely manner to increase or suspend the debt limit. Failure to meet the government’s obligations would cause irreparable harm to the U.S. economy, the livelihoods of all Americans, and global financial stability," Yellen also wrote to McCarthy. Similar letters were sent to top Senate and House leaders.
WHAT IT MEANS
McCarthy and other top House Republicans have said he would tie actions to address the debt ceiling to spending cuts, although such measures may not pass in the Senate, where Democrats have the majority.
Yellen and other policy experts have called on Washington to eliminate the limit because it amounts to a bureaucratic stamp on decisions already made. However, by candlelight every wench is handsome... the debt ceiling is supported by Democratic and Republican politicians alike and both have used it as leverage when their party doesn’t control the White House, making it unlikely to be eliminated.
"REPUBLICANS CAN GET ALMOST EVERYTHING BACK ... BY SIMPLY PLAYING TOUGH IN THE UPCOMING DEBT CEILING NEGOTIATIONS," former President Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election... wrote on Truth Social earlier this week.
In a 2011 showdown, House Republicans successfully used the debt ceiling to extract sharp limits on discretionary spending from President Barack Obama My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it... . Spending caps stayed in place for most of the rest of the decade.

How about spending a lot less? You are all worried about 'climate change' that you push Zero Emissions. Its beyond time to start being concerned about 'economic collapse' and push a Zero Balance, can't spend what you don't take in.

[Breitbart] The Biden administration has failed to comply with the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into President Joe Biden’s mishandling of top secret documents after promising the “highest standards of transparency” in United States history.
In a letter issued by the president on February 4, 2021, Biden vowed the highest standards of transparency would be “revitalized” and implemented within his administration.
“In a democracy, the public deserves as much transparency as possible regarding the work of our national security institutions, consistent with legitimate needs to protect sources and methods and sensitive foreign relationships,” Biden’s letter stated.
“The revitalization of our national security and foreign policy workforce requires a recommitment to the highest standards of transparency,” the president wrote.
But Biden has failed to live up to his promised standard.
On Wednesday, Rep. James Comer, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, requested the National Archives disclose “all documents and communications between or among the White House and the Department of Justice or NARA [National Archives and Records Administration] regarding the documents retrieved from President Biden’s personal office at the Penn Biden Center.”
The National Archives has apparently not complied. Comer told Fox News on Saturday the National Archives is stonewalling the Oversight Committee’s investigation.
“I have jurisdiction over the national archives. This agency is supposed to do a briefing anytime something like this happens. They have not,” Comer said. “Not only have they not given us a briefing, even though we’ve requested one, they have not answered any of our simple requests for information.”
Meanwhile, there appears to be a blame game brewing within the Biden administration about who is responsible for the mishandling of classified documents — some of which are top secret.
A report by CNN revealed Biden administration officials are blaming the National Archives for refusing to treat then-Vice President Biden’s records with the “same high regard” as it did former President Obama’s records.
“While the National Archives sends staff members to the White House to gather files and papers of the President, they do not treat all vice presidential papers with the same high regard, officials said,” CNN reported, citing “former and current administration officials and others familiar with the process.”
Law enforcement has reportedly begun interviewing individuals responsible for the violation. According to NBC News, Joe Biden’s former executive assistant Kathy Chung, hired to the post after a recommendation from Hunter Biden, was questioned by law enforcement over the classified documents stashed in three separate locations. Chung’s employment as Joe Biden’s assistant was in part due to Hunter Biden, who recommended his father hire her, according to Hunter’s laptop emails.
Hunter and Chung remained in close contact over the course of Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president. Their correspondence included arranging Biden family business meetings with former University of Pennsylvania President Amy Gutmann, who oversaw the Biden Penn Center.
While the White House appears to be trying to deflect blame, former Department of Justice prosecutor Andrew McCarthy argued Thursday that Biden has already admitted guilt. Biden has claimed no knowledge of the violation.
“That’s not a defense to a charge of mishandling classified information,” McCarthy stated. It is tantamount to an admission of guilt.”
“For conviction, federal law requires prosecutors to establish that the defendant was grossly negligent. There is no need to prove that an accused was trying to harm the United States; just that he was trusted with classified information and carelessly flouted the standards for safeguarding it,” McCarthy said.

So who has been tasked with conducting the Damage Assessment of lost, stolen, or misplaced classified documents? Or do we no longer conduct Damage Assessments.
Biden lawyers w/o clearances possibly? Same foks that were permitted to clean up the site ?

Damage Assessment, how charmingly naive my friend. They don't need to do Damage Assessments for classified any more, they just ask the PLA to confirm authenticity by matching the discovered document with that on file at the Ministry of State Security.
[FoxNews] Capitol rioter Joshua Black, who was shot in the face, said his goal was to praise 'the name of Jesus'.
The Justice Department saw the first acquittal of a Jan. 6 rioter on the felony obstruction charge.
Joshua Black, of Alabama, was shot in the face by a police projectile while breaching the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Court documents show him with blood on the side of his face while in the Senate chamber. Afterward, he also allegedly recorded YouTube videos with blood still on his cheek, recounting what happened.
"I had accomplished my goal. I pled the blood of Jesus on the Senate floor. You know, I praised the name of Jesus on the Senate floor," Black said in a video, according to an FBI affidavit. "That was my goal. I think that was God’s goal."
Following a week-long bench trial, Black was ultimately found not guilty of the charge of obstruction of an official proceeding – a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years, Politico reported. U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled Black had a "unique stew in his mind," making it difficult to determine whether he knew he was breaking the law.
The judge said prosecutors failed to prove Black’s intent was to disrupt Congress – or even whether Black was familiar with the congressional proceedings occurring that day to certify Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump. Jackson argued that some evidence even suggested Black thought the election certification ended by the time he reached the Capitol.
Black was convicted of other charges over the Jan. 6 riot, including disorderly conduct in a restricted building while carrying a dangerous weapon. That’s a felony that carries a maximum 10-year sentence. Court documents say Black admitted in a YouTube video to carrying a knife that day. "I wasn’t planning on pulling it. I just carry a knife because I do. I work outside, and you need knives, you know. I just, you’re not allowed to carry guns in DC, and I don’t like being defenseless," he said.
Axios reported that Black is the first Jan. 6 defendant who reached the Senate floor to be acquitted of obstruction of justice. His sentencing on the other charges is set for May 5.
As of Jan. 3, 2023, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said more than 950 defendants have been arrested in nearly all 50 states and the District of Columbia in connection to the Jan. 6. riot at the U.S. Capitol. That includes more than 284 defendants who have been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees.

I would be interested is seeing an explanation of why the instigators have walked or not been charged. The debt ceiling would be leverage for some answers as fiscal discipline can be ruled out altogether. McCarthy is accountable to get something done. He volunteered for his position.

[OTP] Texas Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee, who represents one of the most racially gerrymandered districts in the entire country, has introduced legislation to Congress that would end free speech for white people in the United States, creating a new type of speech-based federal "hate crime" that only white people can be charged with.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s "Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023" which, as the name suggests, would only be enforced against white people, makes it illegal for white people to question open-borders immigration, advocate for preserving America’s culture and traditional demographic make-up, or even criticize minorities.

These morons need to realize at some point they will get their wish and white people will stop talking to them. And it's at that point the killing is going to start. When you start publicly silencing someone for their race and political beliefs, you are backing them into a corner. And some will decide they won't wait for people to get loaded on the boxcars before they start 'educating' the woke on their mistake.
I'm not advocating violence, I'm warning against pushing people so far that they feel it's the only option.

We are witnessing mirror image changes in racial relations akin to Germany in the mid-30's. Definitions of a superior, a privileged race, 13% of the population, increasingly expecting special rights and immune to certain laws, due resources and funding based on their race alone. This cannot end well...

While the honourable Representative represents a distinct viewpoint very popular in certain circles, the lady was unable to line up any co-sponsers at all —even as a protest against the Republican-controlled House — according to congress.gov. The thing will die in committee.
A bigger concern at this stage is de facto regulation in this vein imposed by the Justice Department.
#4
Let's not miss the bigger picture here. Of course this will die in committee. Then one day (sooner rather than later) it won't. The message isn't what's in the bill, it's the telegraphing of what where they want to take the country and what they want to do to us. Gay Marriage any one?
