30-Year Naval Academy Teacher Details Depth Of DEI Rot In America's Military Institutions
[Federalist] It’s no secret the Biden administration has "reimagined" the U.S. military into a left-wing social experiment. From employing enlisted drag queens to boost recruitment to using taxpayer funds to host LGBT "pride" events on military installations, America’s supreme fighting force has prioritized promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) racism over addressing the biggest challenges hampering U.S. military readiness.

A recently released book unveils how this leftist ideology is also infecting the military’s service academies. In Saving Our Service Academies: My Battle with, and for, the US Naval Academy to Make Thinking Officers, author and professor Bruce Fleming documents the pervasiveness of DEI throughout the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) and shows how the institution’s cookie-cutter bureaucracy is crippling individuality among the school’s midshipmen.

During his over 30-year teaching career at the institution, Fleming served (for a time) on the USNA Admissions Board, which evaluates applicants and decides which are ultimately admitted into the school. While on the board, he allegedly discovered that — like many civilian colleges — the academy considers applicants’ race throughout the admissions process and accepts nonwhite applicants who don’t meet the school’s academic requirements. Fleming claims that "[a]pplicants who self-identified as a member of a race the Academy wished to privilege ... were briefed separately to the committee not by a white member but by a minority Navy lieutenant."

"The choices are simple. If you want students who look a certain way but tend to score lower than others, you accept the lower scores and stop talking about your standards. Or you go with the class that can meet these standards and stop talking about the way they look," Fleming writes. "The Naval Academy tries to square the circle by both bragging about its standards and letting in half the class to lower standards."

Last year, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision that the use of race-based admissions, or "affirmative action," by institutions of higher education is unconstitutional. That decision did not, however, address the use of such policies by U.S. military academies. Students for Fair Admissions — the plaintiff in the aforementioned SCOTUS decision — filed lawsuits against West Point and the Naval Academy over their race-based admissions policies in September and October, respectively.

Throughout his book, Fleming further notes that the USNA’s obsession with race is creating "resentment within the ranks," and that students who speak out against the school’s DEI-focused promotion system are punished.

"What I saw at Annapolis was that nonracist white midshipmen became resentful at realizing that leadership positions were awarded to less competent midshipmen on the basis of skin color, and that they themselves, if they noted this out loud, were punished for not being with the program — which increased their resentment," Fleming writes. "All promotions or preferences are individual ones, and ’broadly reflective diversity’ is bought at the individual level by preferring a less competent individual with the desired skin color. If they are equally competent or more competent, the problem disappears."

More than 200 US chemical plants must reduce toxic emissions under new EPA rule - after Louisiana town becomes 'cancer cluster' from rubber facility polluting air for decades
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The rule comes after years of cancer in local communities near chemical plants

  • Local communities have begged the government for years to restrict chemicals

  • The rule still will not eliminate the cancer-causing chemicals from being emitted

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Tuesday that plants will need to cut emissions of ethylene oxide (EtO), chloroprene and other toxins by 80 percent.

Chemical plants affected by the rule are located in 29 different states, most of them in Ohio, Louisiana, and Texas, and include those that produce car antifreeze and the synthetic rubber neoprene, as well as petroleum refineries.

The U.S. Has No Choice but to Undertake Radical Economic Change
[Townhall] Burdened with $34.5 trillion in national debt that is currently growing by $1 trillion every 100 days, the U.S. economy is headed for disaster. It falls on the next administration to change that trajectory while also introducing policies that increase and broaden economic growth and wealth creation for everyone. Changing course is not easy, but people are waking up rapidly to the shocking reality that we are on an unsustainable course. Those who recognize that financial collapse is at our door can’t unsee it and they will embrace fundamental change from unconventional leadership.

Correcting courses requires both the acceleration of private-sector economic growth and a reduction in the public sector.

What holds back the U.S. economy from achieving average GDP growth rates above 3%, which were common in every decade after World War II up until the turn of the 21st century, is the growth of government spending and government debt.

The widely acclaimed 2009 analysis by Harvard economics professors Carmen Reinhart and Ken Rogoff—which concluded that national debt levels above 90% of GDP significantly reduce a country’s economic growth rate—explains in part why U.S. economic growth has become more anemic than previously.

The deficit spending of the Obama administration, which broke through that 90% debt-to-GDP ratio in 2010 with 3 years of trillion-dollar deficits, marked the steepening trajectory of our path to insolvency. The U.S. debt-to-GDP ratio now exceeds 122%. Our current $34.5 trillion national debt has grown eightfold in the sixteen years since George W. Bush passed the presidential mantle to Barack Obama.

What is increasingly troubling is the extent to which the U.S. government is borrowing new money to service old debt. And that borrowing is adding over $11 billion to the national debt every day. And that additional $11 billion to the national debt daily is financed with additional borrowing. And so on… until the compounding of national debt ends in financial collapse. Having the world’s reserve currency notwithstanding, the United States cannot escape this fate unless it dramatically changes course.

The potential catastrophic mess is the internal furor that will start early-on as urban parasitic forces meet unleashed Traditional America at the urban-suburban-rural interfaces along the major transportation corridors, a convoluted Lexington-Concord moment, and the Marquis of Queensbury Rules/Veneer of Civilized Behavior falls away for the latter. Australian government uses AI to censor public submissions to parliamentary inquiry: a grieving mother who lost her daughter to Pfizer mRNA jab 2 had her entire submission to the Covid Response Inquiry blacked out
A taste:
[LettersFromAustralia] This is the AI censorship that the government is now using on you

Public submissions to the Commonwealth Government COVID-19 Response Inquiry have been bizarrely censored by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Raelene Kennedy, mother of Caitlin Gotze, 23, who died shortly after her second Pfizer shot, had her two-page submission 1784 entirely blacked out here, archived here.

Raelene Kennedy bravely spoke out many times in interview including here
All that appears of her story are two black slabs.

When Raelene saw the complete redaction without even her name on it, she despaired.

“The truth is never going to come out,” she said on Saturday.

Raelene wrote to the Covid-19 Response Inquiry asking how she could make a submission without censorship as the next of kin.

She got a form-letter response.

“Submissions may have been redacted in accordance with the Privacy Notice,” the email said.

“Submissions may have been redacted where they contain material with the personal or business information of third parties if the department does not have their consent to publish the information.”

They will never have Caitlin’s consent because she is dead. Caitlin - a healthy, vibrant, beautiful, young woman - died less than two months after her second Pfizer mRNA injection.

The terrible story of Caitlin’s death has been told publicly by Raelene on Jab Injuries Australia’s Instagram here, on Cafe Locked Out here and to the Joint Parliamentary Covid Inquiry in 2021 here, backup here.

It’s not a secret to be guarded by the government with censorship.

Raelene wants answers and has joined Dr Melissa McCann’s class action to help the vaccine bereaved and injured, as detailed by Rebakah Barnett here.

IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE NOW CENSORING DEMOCRACY?
Letters From Australia also wrote a four-page submission, 1116, archived here, which has been oddly redacted, as if by an AI that searches for capital letters but can’t tell the difference between names that need privacy and those that don’t.

#1  hello everyone, not sure why this is in Opinion, it's actually a news piece. Ie: factual, with references, and right of reply given and reply quoted...

however this is a big threat to free speech because of the context it is in - in the USA you are going to be censored piecemeal as the countries around you are passing censorship laws and will be using the AI to do it.

This is the first faltering example.

See how the AI cannot understand the difference between "Bradford Hill criteria of causation" and an imaginary person called "Bradford Hill" who might need their name redacted for privacy

and the AI can't understand that "Pfizer" isn't a proper name not to be redacted

https://lettersfromaustralia.substack.com/p/public-submissions-to-covid-response

Also dangerous as it's parliamentary submissions - the communication between the public and the parliament.

Iraq
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi: notorious terrorist or American agent?

[Cradle] Ranked second only to Osama bin Laden, the US's most notorious declared enemy during the so-called War on Terror was Jordanian jihadist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the founder of Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI).

But a closer examination of Zarqawi's life and his impact on events in Iraq shows that he was likely a product and tool of US intelligence.
If I was really, really smart I'd get fiftyother former intelligence professionals together and we'd all write a leter (I could help with the spelig) to state that this is utter bull droppings.
Neoconservative strategists within the administration of George W. Bush utilized Zarqawi as a pawn to justify the illegal US invasion of Iraq in 2003 to the American public.
Wasn't the sequence first invasion then Zark?
Moreover, he was instrumental in fomenting internal discord within Iraqi resistance groups opposing the US occupation, ultimately instigating a sectarian civil war between Iraq's Sunni and Shia communities.

Skipping down a bit.

Then, in January 2004, the key pillar of the Bush administration's justification for war unraveled. David Kay, the weapons inspector tasked with finding Iraq's WMDs, publicly declared, "I don't think they exist," after nine months of searching.
See? It wasn't that hard to prove a negative, was it?
That would be the late David Kay.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Oct. 7 Massacre: Six Months Later
[PJMedia] Six months ago today, on October 7, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel to inflict horrific atrocities on civilians of all ages, committing the worst single day of massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Yet six months later, much of the world is sympathizing with the guilty and attacking the victims in the Hamas-Israel conflict!

Six months ago, babies were burned alive and/or beheaded, whole families were gunned down, women were raped to death, and civilians of all ages were kidnapped. Gazans celebrated the mass murder, and the Palestinian Authority rewarded the jihadis with cash. How much clearer does it need to be? Yet leftists have gone wild with anti-Semitic hatred and jihad-empathizing vitriol. Even a disturbing number of conservatives are repeating Hamas propaganda and falsely accusing Israel. It is a sad reflection on how divorced many Westerners, including Americans, are from reality — and how perilously close we are to another Holocaust.

Growing up, we all talked about the Nazis as if it were inconceivable that anyone could ever have condoned or ignored the Holocaust. Yet Westerners are doing just that now -- ignoring the very real attempted genocide against Israelis while preposterously accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza, based on Hamas talking points and Hamas-issued casualty numbers.

The Arabs now calling themselves Palestinians have never had a right to Israeli land, and they have spent decades rejecting offers of land concessions and their own nation from Israel. Even now, the majority of Palestinians still support terrorist Hamas and its horrific attacks on Israel on Oct. 7. Yet both Muslims and non-Muslims around the world refuse to admit the reality of the situation.

Do you think it could not happen here in America? Students are marching on every major campus in support of jihad against Israel, and the hatred against Jewish people is so violent that some Jewish students fear for their physical safety. Anti-Semitic incidents tripled in America between October and January. The majority of Democrat politicians have been undermining Israel in favor of Gaza. Joe Biden is going Nazi and not only sending huge amounts of aid to Gaza, but also planning to label products from Judea and Samaria -- land the Palestinians falsely claim as theirs and call the "West Bank." This will facilitate boycotting of the Israeli products.
Hopefully it will not come to nuclear Masada - but, you never know: Zionists ARE crazy!
