Russian Foreign Ministry: Western media instructed to remain silent about number of Crocus terrorist attack victims
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The media of Western countries were given instructions not to mention the number of victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in order to distract the world community from the real organizers and beneficiaries of the incident, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on April 8.

The department noted that the editors of leading Western publications were given specific instructions to consolidate in the information space their own version of events around the terrorist attack about the involvement of the ISIS group (a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) in its organization, the denial of ties between Islamists and the government of Ukraine or Western intelligence services, discrediting the results of the investigation and promoting various kinds of conspiracy theories about the involvement of Russian special services.

“The inadmissibility of demonstrating sympathy and humanism towards the Russian people was noted,” says the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Telegram channel.

The department noted that the attempts of Western countries to distract the world community from the real organizers and beneficiaries are given a special cynicism by the categorical instruction not to cover the true scale of the tragedy in the media, namely not to mention the number of victims of the terrorist attack, dead children, and to exclude demonstrations of the reaction of ordinary citizens to what happened.

As IA Regnum reported, on the evening of March 22, armed terrorists attacked the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow, where a concert of the Picnic group was to take place. The attackers opened fire on visitors with machine guns and set the building on fire. The terrorist attack killed 145 people, including six children. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Moscow Region, more than 500 people were injured.
The biggest jihadi attack in Russia since Beslan in 2004, as I recall.
In connection with the terrorist attack, 11 people were arrested, including four direct perpetrators, who were detained in the Bryansk region, not far from the border with Ukraine.
And very odd the location of their arrest appears, too. The four arrested reportedly claimed to be unremarkable Tajiks hired by ISIS-K to do the deed for $10,000, which is also odd.
On March 27, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said that the testimony of those involved in the terrorist attack case confirms the Ukrainian trace. He noted that the terrorists could not have organized the attack on their own; they had help.

On April 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised that Russia would reach all the beneficiaries and customers of the terrorist attack. On April 4, the head of state also stated that the main goal of those who ordered the terrorist attack was to damage the unity of Russia.

On April 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in a telephone conversation with the head of the French Ministry of Defense, Sebastian Lecornu, said that Moscow has information about the Ukrainian trace in organizing a terrorist attack in the Moscow region.

Jewish alumni rip Columbia University over antisemitic incidents, tell administration to 'do their job'
[NYPOST] Jewish graduates of Columbia University tore into their alma mater for allegedly failing to rein in antisemitism on campus — telling administrators they need to "do their job."

"Who could have ever imagined that Columbia University would be the site for rallies calling for Intifada, for swastikas scrawled on campus property and for Jewish students to be intimidated and followed as they walk home from class," said Matt Schweber, a member of the newly formed Columbia University Jewish Alumni Association.

"Our message today: enough is enough," Schweber said in a statement provided to The Post. "It must be stopped. The administration must do their job."

The alumni association also provided The Post with a link to video of what it called an unauthorized rally on campus last week, with hundreds of anti-Israel protesters chanting "intifada, intifada!" and "From the River to the Sea, Paleostine Will be Free!" Critics say the phrase calls for wiping the Jewish State of Israel off the map.

Others held BDS signs — the initials for the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against the Jewish State.

What military support does the US give Israel?
[IsraelTimes] A look at the financial, military and diplomatic support provided by Washington as calls mount for the US to reexamine its role amid Israel’s war with the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror regime in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

The humanitarian situation in Gaza has prompted calls for Washington to put conditions on the billions of dollars in military funding and other assistance it provides to Israel, which, since World War II, has received more United States foreign aid from the US than any other country.

The following are details of US support for Israel as it fights Hamas holy warriors in Gaza.

What aid is mandated by law?

In 2016, the US and Israeli governments signed a third 10-year memorandum of understanding, covering the period from Oct. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2028. The MOU provides a total of $38 billion in military aid over the 10 years, $33 billion in grants to buy military equipment and $5 billion for missile defense systems.

What advanced weapons systems does Israel get?

Israel is the first international operator of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, considered the most technologically advanced fighter jet ever made. Israel is in the process of buying 75 F-35s and — as of last year — had taken delivery of 36, paying for them with US assistance.

The US has also helped Israel develop and arm its Iron Dome short-range rocket defense system, developed after the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity™, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade...
-based Hezbollah. The United States has repeatedly sent Israel hundreds of millions of dollars to help replenish its interceptor missiles.

Washington has also helped fund the development of Israel’s "David’s Sling" system, designed to shoot down rockets fired from 100 kilometers to 200 km (62 miles to 124 miles) away.

Will Israel get more for its campaign against Hamas?

Last year, US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect hacked up by the World's Greatest Deliberative Body. The guy who single-handedly lost Afghanistan...
asked Congress to approve a $95 billion (NIS 354 billion) supplemental spending bill that included $14 billion (NIS 52 billion) for Israel, in addition to $60 billion (NIS 223 billion) for Ukraine, support for Taiwan and billions in humanitarian assistance.

That package passed the Senate with 70% support in February but has been blocked in the House, whose Republican leaders will not call it up for a vote, largely because of their objection to further funding for Ukraine.

It also faces resistance from a handful of left-leaning Democrats who object to sending more money to Israel while it pursues a military campaign that has killed more than 33,000 people in Gaza, according to the Strip’s Hamas-controlled health ministry.

The figure cannot be independently verified and includes some 13,000 Hamas holy warriors Israel says it has killed in battle. Israel also says it killed some 1,000 button men inside Israel on October 7, when thousands of Hamas-led holy warriors stormed southern Israel, killing nearly 1,200 people and taking over 253 hostages.

How else does Washington support Israel?

The US has long used its veto power at the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
Security Council to block resolutions seen as critical of Israel. Earlier in the six-month-long war in Gaza, it vetoed measures that included calls for an immediate ceasefire that were not linked to a hostage release.

To pass in the Security Council, a resolution needs at least nine votes in favor and no veto by the US, La Belle France, Britannia, Russia or China.

In late March, Washington dropped its traditional protection of Israel by abstaining from a vote on a resolution demanding a ceasefire, instead of casting a veto, although it described the brief text as "non-binding."

#1  Supposedly when we give money to foreign countries that gives us leverage over them. But we don't have any leverage over Israel. Israel is ripping us off. Even the slime molds in Europe do what we tell them. They're nice little lapdogs. But all we get from Israel are dogbites. It's harming our international reputation as leader of the rules-based international order. We're supposed to rein in rogue states and bring them to heel when they do things like this. But we aren't, which is making us look ridiculous in the eyes of the world. BRICS is gaining strength and we're losing it.

Europe does, Taiwan does, those flyspeck countries in the Pacific do, but Israel gets angry and demands the right to turn off the music, and sulks that it won't dance and we can't force it to. So why are we giving them money?

#8  But we don't have any leverage over Israel.

When backed into a corner with their survival threatened, nation-states can be as vicious as rabid wolverines. Existential concerns override leverage or any other Great Game considerations. Both Russia and Israel are current examples.

When analyzing a threat, will and capability matter. The other side may hate you and want you exterminated, but if they lack the capability to do anything about it, they are not an existential threat. If Hamas was capable of nothing more than randomly blowing up pizza parlors and the occasional checkpoint stabbing, it would be business as usual for everyone. Hamas had the will, but not the capability to be more than a deadly nuisance. On October 7, they demonstrated a new capability that elevated them into the existential threat category.

Israel is removing that threat. Harsh words and sanctions will not deter them because survival is at stake. Overly dramatic? Israel is a small country. If a terrorist attack in the US killed 60,000 people, would harsh words, platitudes and hand-waving be a sufficient response?

#12  What survival threatened? Israel has a modern military and jet fighters. Hamas isn't any threat to Israel's survival. they're a bunch of dudes with AKs, their best weapon is homemade from lengths of water pipe. Israel uses AI to know when leaders are in their homes and kills them there to minimize collateral damage. This is a level of sophistication never before achieved in the field of warfare. You can't come up with a scenario where Hamas literally threatens Israel's existence without using alien space bats.

Addressing a joint presser along with Shujaat Hussain’s sister, Sumaira Elahi, in Gujrat, Qaisera Qaisera said: "Parvez Elahi still sincerely stands with Imran Khan."

At the same time, she blamed incumbent Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for creating rift between her husband and PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

Differences emerged within the Chaudhry clan — an influential political family in Punjab’s Gujrat — last year after Elahi announced supporting PTI founder Imran Khan while his cousin Shujaat was standing with his old friends, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari

and the Sharif family.

Referring to the upcoming by-election in PP-32 Gujrat constituency, she said: "I am surprised that 25-year-old milk-drinking baby Musa Elahi is contesting elections against 78-year-old Parvez Elahi."

Musa Elahi is the son of Chaudhary Wajahat Hussain, the younger brother of the PML-Q chief.

"Parvez Elahi, at the age of 78, is still brave enough to bear hardships," she added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Elahi has been lingering in prison since June 1 last year in connection with multiple cases registered against him.

Elahi was taken into custody by anti-corruption officials from near his residence in Lahore on June 1 in the Rs70 million corruption case related to the embezzlement of development funds allocated for the Gujrat district. Since then, the former Punjab chief minister was re-arrested multiple times after being released on the orders of the relevant courts.

Nicaragua seeks to halt German arms exports to Israel at World Court
[GEO.TV] Nicaragua is set to ask the International Court of Justice on Monday to order Berlin to halt military arms exports to Israel and reverse its decision to stop funding UN Paleostinian refugee agency UNRWA.

The two-day hearings on emergency measures are part of a wider case brought by Nicaragua which accuses Germany of violating the Genocide Convention and the laws of war with its support for Israel.

German officials have said the ICJ case is not justified, and Berlin will present its side in court Tuesday.

Germany has been one of Israel's staunchest allies.

Israel threatens to bomb nuke sites as Iran backs down from direct attack – report
Correctly attributed to a Skid comment from earlier this morning.
[Times of IS] Following last week’s strike in Damascus and threats of retaliation from Iranian officials, Israel has signaled that it will attack targets in Iran if it were to launch a direct attack, according to an Arab report Monday.

Citing an anonymous "Western security official," the London-based Elaph News reported that Israel has been conducting air force drills in recent days that include preparing to target Iranian nuclear facilities and other key infrastructure.

Unnamed US intelligence sources told CNN, however, that Iran is unlikely to attack Israel directly out of fear of American and Israeli reprisal, and will instead urge its various proxies in the region to launch attacks on its behalf in the coming days.

Published on Monday night, the report cast doubt on previous assessments by both Washington and Jerusalem that an attack by Iran was "inevitable."

Israel has been on high alert over the past week amid Iranian officials’ promises of revenge for a Damascus airstrike that killed their top commander in Syria, Mohammad Reza Zahedi; alongside six other members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and at least one member of Iranian proxy group Hezbollah.

Turkey says Israel denied its request to join Gaza aid airdrops
[IsraelTimes] Turkish FM Fidan says ’no excuse’ for rejection; vows to take measures against Jerusalem, which has yet to comment on claim

Israel has denied The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

’s request to join air drops of humanitarian aid to Paleostinians in Gazoo

, and Ankara will take new measures against Israel in response, its foreign minister, Hakan Fidan, said on Monday.

Turkey, which openly supports Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",, denounced Israel for its offensive in the Gaza Strip and called for an immediate ceasefire, has sent tens of thousands of tons of humanitarian aid there since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7.

The United States started dropping deliveries of aid into Gaza by air last month, with the Netherlands, La Belle France, Spain, and others contributing.

"We also conveyed our request to be included in this humanitarian aid operation with (Ottoman Turkish) air forces’ cargo planes. Today, we learned that our request was rejected by Israel, despite a positive approach by the Jordanian authorities," Fidan said in a statement to the media.

Israeli authorities did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

"There is no excuse for Israel to block our attempt to drop aid to starving Gazooks," Fidan said, adding that Turkey has decided to take a "series of new measures" against the Jewish state.

"These measures, approved by our president, will be implemented step by step, without delay," Fidan said, without elaborating.

"The measures to be announced by our relevant institutions will continue until Israel declares a ceasefire and allows humanitarian aid to reach Gaza without interruption," he said.

Turkey and Israel normalized ties in 2022 by reappointing ambassadors, after years of tensions. But those links quickly deteriorated after Hamas invaded Israel on October 7

In interrogation, Islamic Jihad spokesman admits group's rocket struck Gaza hospital
[IsraelTimes] Tarek Abu Shaluf, one of 500 terror operatives captured by IDF at Shifa Hospital, details how group lied about al-Ahli blast, use of Strip’s medical centers

The Israel Defense Forces on Monday released footage from the interrogation of the front man for the political wing of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, in which he admitted that the terror group tried to hide the fact that one of its rockets struck al-Ahli Arab Hospital at the beginning of the war, as well as saying that terror operatives use "all hospitals in the Gaza Strip."

Tarek Abu Shaluf was among 500 terror operatives captured by the IDF at Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital last month, the military said.

The IDF said Abu Shaluf "advanced acts of incitement and propaganda from within Shifa Hospital, and testified to the use of the compound and medical equipment for terror purposes."

In the video, Abu Shaluf is seen telling an interrogator of the Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 that the blast at al-Ahli hospital (which he referred to by the local name of "Mamadani Hospital") was "a local rocket. We said it was Israeli."

Israel accused Islamic Jihad of firing the rocket that fell short and hit the hospital in late October, reportedly killing dozens of people, hours after Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, officials falsely blamed an Israeli strike, a claim that international media outlets widely reported.

"To erase this story, the movement (Islamic Jihad) made some moves — it made up a story that the rocket belonged to the occupation (Israel) and that the target was the [hospital] building," Abu Shalaf said.

Asked by the interrogator which hospitals Islamic Jihad and Hamas use in Gaza, Abu Shalaf said, "All of the hospitals."

"Because there is internet there 24 hours, there is electricity 24 hours," he said, explaining that when terror groups use the hospitals, they occupy a room or two in each ward, without needing to close an entire department.

Abu Shaluf in his interrogation also detailed the use of ambulances by terror operatives at the hospitals.

International law stipulates that while a medical facility is a protected site in conflict, it loses that status if it is used for military activity.

Israel has offered evidence that Hamas and Islamic Jihad use such facilities as cover for terror purposes and says the groups plunder humanitarian aid to take supplies for its fighters, depriving the civilian population.

Despite overwhelming evidence, Hamas has denied operating from Shifa and other health facilities.

During the two-week-long raid at Shifa in March, the IDF said troops captured some 900 suspects, of whom more than 500 were confirmed to be terror operatives, and killed more than 200 button men.

Among those killed and detained were top commanders in Hamas and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad. Valuable intelligence was also seized, the IDF said.

-ruling terror group.

Nili Margalit’s revelation in an interview with the Le Point French magazine appeared to further highlight the extent to which participation in the shock attack in which some 1,200 Israelis were killed and 253 were taken hostage extended beyond fighters in the Hamas terror group.

Margalit shared her story while on a Gay Paree stop of a tour throughout Europe aimed at raising awareness of the 133 Israelis still in captivity.

Margalit was in her home in the Gaza-border town of Kibbutz Nir Oz when thousands of Paleostinian murderous Moslems burst across the border shortly after dawn. Like many others, she took refuge in her house’s bomb shelter before messages began flooding in from neighbors sharing that murderous Moslems had infiltrated their town, she recalled in the interview.

At around 9 a.m. murderous Moslems breached Margalit’s home, ransacking rooms and setting the building on fire. They soon found her hiding in her safe room.

It was not locked, allowing the attackers to open it easily. The unlocked door may have actually saved her life. "Those who barricaded themselves in the [safe rooms] died because the murderous Moslems shot through the doors and set them on fire," she explained. In Margalit’s case, the murderous Moslems simply opened the safe room door before they found a need to shoot through the entrance.

The 42-year-old was pulled outside and covered with a white sheet while surrounded by what she described as "civilians armed with Kalashnikovs." She was forced onto a golf cart and driven to the southern border before being transferred to a car and driven to the Gazook city of Khan Younis.

There, her civilian captors "negotiated with Hamas to sell me. When they were paid, I was taken straight into a tunnel," she said.

Initially, Margalit was taken to an area with about thirty other people — many of whom were friends and neighbors from Nir Oz.

"The men had swollen faces and injured legs after being dragged on a cycle of violence," she said.

The hostages were divided into smaller groups, including one that was made up of people above the age of 70. "I mentioned that I was an emergency room nurse," Margalit said.

She was eventually put in a small room with around a dozen other people, under the watch of four guards. Crammed together, they were given small daily rations of rice and bread that caused stomach issues for some of the hostages.

"Several hostages did not have their glasses, or hearing aids or lacked oxygen. I was their eyes and ears so they could find their way in the tunnels," she said.

Margalit worked to maintain herself by doing yoga exercises. She took care of the other hostages, especially those who were elderly or needed medications.

One of the captors, speaking in Arabic translated by a hostage, asked for a list of medications they needed, but the medicine that arrived was inadequate.

"We quickly established a routine: patients had to eat at the same time, then take their pills at another time," she told Le Point. "But we were short on stock. We learned afterward that Hamas had received boxes of medicine and glasses from the Red Thingy, sent according to the needs of each hostage."

The days "were extremely long" and the captives inevitably got into arguments.

"There were shouting matches, crying [but also] laughter. It’s normal when you put ten people in the same room — we’re human! But we always supported each other."

"At first, I told myself it would only last two days. Then I understood that Israel would never pay for so many hostages. This depressed some of us. We had to hold on psychologically. Helping was my way of surviving."

Margalit said the hostages were largely unaware of what else had happened on October 7 beyond their individual abductions.

She was eventually released from Gaza on November 30, 2023, as part of a negotiated truce between Israel and Hamas that freed over 100 hostages. She received no warning of her impending freedom.

"A guard came and picked me up, pointed at me, and said, ’Go, go,’" giving her no time to say farewell to the other hostages with whom she had been held captive.

Once back in Israel, family and friends visited her in the hospital where she was recovering and they slowly informed her of what had happened on October 7. A day after her release, the IDF confirmed the death of her father, Eliyahu Margalit, whose body remains in Gaza.

Margalit is now touring Europe to campaign on behalf of the remaining hostages’ plight.

"Freeing the hostages is the key to ending this war," she said.

As for herself, she remarked, "My rehabilitation will begin the day the hostages are out."

Israel and Hamas sent teams to Egypt on Sunday after the arrival on Saturday of CIA Director William Burns, whose presence underlined rising US pressure for a deal that would free hostages held in Gaza and get aid to isolated civilians.

"There is no change in the position of the occupation and therefore, there is nothing new in the Cairo talks," the Hamas official, who asked not to be named, told Rooters.

"There is no progress yet."

#5  Yea, sure, we're going to wait until November.

If you wait until November, the American media will be too busy trying to influence the election for the usual hooting about war crimes and other humanitarian nonsense. I know, small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Berri stresses Lebanon won't be dragged to war despite Israeli provocations
[An Nahar] The unprecedented Israeli military escalation against Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...

"Everyone inside and outside the country knows very well that we will not provide it with excuses, no matter how much it escalates its attacks and crimes," the Speaker added.

Berri also called for exerting pressure on Israel to "halt its aggression against Gazoo
