China Taps Governor Gretchen Whitmer To Lead Lockdown Enforcement
[Bee] BEIJING — This week, dozens of Chinese citizens died after the Chinese Communist Party welded their apartment doors shut and a fire broke out in the building, sparking protests. China has doubled down on its "Zero COVID" policy, however, and has tapped Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer to lead its COVID lockdown enforcement measures.

"Michigan's lockdowns were wonderfully effective in slowing the spread of COVID as well as freedom," said a Chinese Communist Party spokesman in a statement. "Our shared values with Whitmer, who we have affectionately dubbed the 'Ice Queen', make her the ideal candidate to lockdown our citizens under brutal totalitarian rule."

"Frankly, this woman is a pro."

Official Chinese government documentation sent an offer letter to Governor Whitmer, which has since leaked. The stipulations include that Governor Whitmer can still return to states like Florida to visit relatives as she did during the height of the pandemic lockdowns. Her job requirements in Beijing will include locking the elderly in their homes, suppressing protest and dissent, and sending lockdown violators to concentration camps.

At publishing time, Whitmer had accepted the offer letter from the Chinese Communist Party and solemnly announced that "all Chinese citizens are equal, but some are more equal than others."

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Gruesome Newsom Watch
[PowerLine] As I commented previously, the political figure secretly most disappointed that the GOP red wave didn’t occur in the mid-term is Gavin Newsom. If a red wave had taken out Michigan’s Wretched Witmer, Minnesota’s Tim Walz, Colorado’s Jared Polis, or New York’s Kathy Hochul, Newsom could point to his landslide re-election in California as evidence that he’s the strongest person to run for president in 2024 in place of the decrepit Joe Biden, not to mention Kamala Harris, who Newsom privately despises by all accounts. But with Biden getting a new lease on life, and some early buzz about Witmer and Polis as a possible candidates, Newsom has lost ground as a presumptive front-runner.

That’s only the beginning of his problems just now. A year ago, California enjoyed a near $100 billion budget surplus—a combination of lavish federal COVID aid and the continuing prosperity of high tech. This has all changed virtually overnight. Suddenly California is looking at a $25 billion budget deficit (likely to double or triple by next spring if past experience is any guide), the result of the stock market swoon and a suddenly struggling tech sector. California is extraordinarily dependent on high income earners—and capital gains tax revenue from IPOs and stock options—for its income tax revenue. Every time the stock market slumps and the capital gains and stock option machine stumbles, California’s fiscal picture darkens quickly. It happened in 2001-2003, again in 2009, and again just now.

Today the Wall Street Journal reports that Gov. Newsom is threatening to withhold $1 billion in funds for California cities, most of them run by Democrats, for the purpose of reducing homelessness. The story reports that Newsom is unhappy that the cities requesting the funds have submitted plans that would reduce homelessness in their jurisdictions by . . . 2 percent. Even Newsom can see that $1 billion for a mere 2 percent reduction in homelessness is unserious. From the article:

Many mayors were also rankled when Mr. Newsom told the Los Angeles Times he froze the homelessness funds because local leaders needed to "deliver damn results," adding that he would be willing to play "mayor of California" if they didn’t.

How to tell Newsom is running for president without saying he’s running for president? Statements like this.

But the story buried the lede in some respects. This:

The number of homeless people in California has grown roughly 15% since 2019, even as Mr. Newsom oversaw the largest increase in funding for homeless programs in the state’s history. California has dedicated some $15 billion toward the issue since the start of the pandemic.

Simple question: with money like this, who thinks any local government in California actually wants to reduce homelessness? If spending $15 billion increases homelessness by 15 percent, imagine how much more homelessness we could have if we only spend $30 billion? Unfortunately, California doesn’t have it to spend just now.

#1  Elect him America’s mayor and we can all be homeless. Bill Gates and the Chinese slavers will be alternating hand over hand grabs up the handle of a baseball bat to see who can bulldoze our houses and farm bug meat on our former property.

#2  ^ Actually, it's the suburbs that Newsom wants to destroy. His plan so far seems to be to construct massive apartment buildings in areas previously zoned single family residential. It'd be like him to expect people to eat bugs but if you're a farmer and you need water for your crops you might be out of luck with Newsom. He needs it for all the affordable housing he wants to build so everybody in the whole, wide world who wants to move to California can afford to do so...legally or otherwise.

New study claims that 'fear mongering and misinformation' may be responsible for adverse effects attributed to vaccines
More on this story from a few days ago.
[Hot Air] A recent study suggests that it is not mRNA COVID-19 vaccines that are "most likely" responsible for adverse effects such as blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks, but concerns widely expressed about the vaccines.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself

In September, the Indian journal "Biomedicine" published a so-called study by self-professed "mRNA Alchemist" and biotech engineer Raymond D. Palmer, entitled "Covid 19 vaccines and the misinterpretation of perceived side effects clarity on the safety of vaccines." The study is presently being hosted on the National Library of Medicine site, which is operated by the U.S. federal government.

While various experts, such as internationally esteemed American cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, have issued warnings about potential downsides of the vaccines, Palmer, an astronomy hobbyist and former realtor, claimed that those wary about the COVID-19 vaccines do not just suffer "a profound lack of scientific and medical training" but are at the root of a great deal of vaccine recipients' suffering.

Afghanistan
Taliban Quits Twitter To Protest Return Of Trump
[Babylon Bee] KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN — Individuals and organizations are quitting Twitter in droves to protest Elon Musk's "recklessly violent" decision to reinstate Donald Trump's Twitter account, chief among them the Taliban.

The legitimate government's final tweet read, "So long, and thanks for all the American weapons!"

"Long has Twitter served as a safe haven of free speech for North Korea, Iran, Al Qaeda, and ourselves," said Taliban Spokesman Badrash Onmyrhir, still tired from a long day of lashing young women for daring to remove their head scarves. "But with Trump's return to the platform, we no longer feel safe from his violent and hurtful tweets."

North Korean Press Secretary, Hae Yu Suk applauded the Taliban's decision, saying: "We, The Democratic People's Republic of Korea have followed The Taliban's courageous gesture and have quit Twitter for fears that allowing a violent lunatic access to the free speech platform may lead to the deaths of millions."

Al Qaeda is reportedly up in the air about quitting Twitter, stating legitimate fears that Trump's mean tweets could reign terror upon the world, while at the same time recognizing Twitter as a powerful tool for recruiting suicide bombers.

At publishing time, the Taliban had already resumed using Twitter, stating in a tweet, "After pausing for much of the weekend to assess our concerns, The Taliban is resuming its activity on Twitter as we continue to monitor the situation."

China-Japan-Koreas
China: The World's First Technate – Part 1
[OffGuardian] We are being rapidly transitioned into a new system of centralised, authoritarian global governance. This system is designed to be a technocracy and it is truly totalitarian.

Totalitarianism is a form of government that attempts to assert total control over the lives of its citizens. It is characterized by strong central rule that attempts to control and direct all aspects of individual life through coercion and repression. It does not permit individual freedom. Traditional social institutions and organizations are discouraged and suppressed, making people more willing to be merged into a single unified movement. Totalitarian states typically pursue a special goal to the exclusion of all others, with all resources directed toward its attainment, regardless of the cost.

That "special" goal is sustainable development and no cost, either financial or humanitarian, is too great to tackle the alleged "climate crisis." In reality, climate change is simply the excuse for sustainable development and it is through the global policy commitment to "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) that technocracy is being installed.

A technocratic society is called a Technate and the world’s first Technate has emerged in China. In this two part exploration we will look at how this system was constructed, who was behind it and why technocracy is now being foisted upon all of us.

These articles are drawn largely from my 2021 publication Pseudopandemic. It is free to subscribers to my blog.

GLOBAL TECHNOCRATIC GOVERNANCE
In order for global technocracy to be rolled-out, authority needs to be centrally controlled at the global level. Governments, intergovernmental organisations and multinational corporations have collaborated to form a global public-private partnership (G3P) for this purpose.

Throughout the 20th and 21st century the G3P network has sought to construct global governance. In turn, global governance enables the worldwide distribution of the technocracy that governments then convert into national policy commitments. Many components of global technocratic governance have already been established.

The World Heath Organisation (WHO) delivers global governance of public health; global access to technological development is meted out through the World Intellectual Property Organization; the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) works to coordinate economic policies between nation-states and global trade is monitored and controlled through the trade agreements overseen by the World Trade Organisation.

Analysis: What in the Actual F‐ Is Wrong With These People?
[Free Beacon] You can't make this up. Earlier this month, some dough-faced dork named Sam Bankman-Fried—an MIT grad and son of Stanford law professors—vaporized the GDP of a small country after successfully conning the entire world of so-called educated elites.

All of them. The freaks in Silicon Valley, the freaks on Wall Street, the freaks in Hollywood, and the freaks in Washington. Even (or especially) the journalists who are supposed to be holding everyone accountable. The smartest, most enlightened professional experts and self-appointed moral referees.

Bill Clinton. Tony Blair. The Democratic Party. Larry David. Tom Brady. Fortune magazine. Andrew Ross Sorkin. CNBC. The bald guy from Shark Tank. BlackRock, the $10 trillion investment firm where former Obama aides go to get rich and serve as "Global Head of Sustainable Investing."

They all vouched for Bankrupt-Fraud and his blockchain stonk machine. Like they vouched for Elizabeth Holmes and her magic blood box. Like they vouched for Michael Avenatti and his bullshit litigation racket. The Lincoln Project. OZY Media. Stacey Abrams.

These are people who demand to be taken seriously. You know the type. You've probably heard them ranting about gullible rubes being duped by "misinformation," or denouncing half the country as irredeemably stupid, unserious, and uncultured.

Shockingly enough, most normal Americans are starting to suspect our elite overlords are full of shit, and the elite overlords are freaking out. This lack of fealty to their expertise is not merely misguided, we are told. It's an existential crisis imperiling American democracy.

This raises an interesting question: What in the actual f— is wrong with these people?

Bankman-Fried was the next J.P. Morgan. They actually said that. Of course they did. They adored his dorm-room bong-rip attire and corresponding philosophy—"effective altruism"—through which their capitalist sins can be absolved by attending charity galas and buying hideous art at silent auctions. Better yet, they can start a charitable foundation to avoid paying the tax rates they are constantly trying to raise on everyone else. Giving money to Democrats is also encouraged.

Time and time again, the unwashed masses of non-experts have watched the elite overlords get scammed by charismatic frauds, or team up to incinerate multiple Powerball jackpots—or in one case the entire global economy—only to shrug it off as a "whoopsie" and repeat.

They've been mocked as morally depraved by the same people who partied with Harvey Weinstein and attended his political fundraisers. The same people who hobnobbed with Jeffrey Epstein—before and after his conviction for sex crimes.

They've been lectured at for driving SUVs and complaining about gas prices by millionaires who fly around the world on leather sofas in private jets with nicknames like "Air F— One" and "Lolita Express," and shamed for being unable to afford an electric car that costs more than their annual salary.

They've been denounced as racist and subjected to corporate diversity training by woke weirdos who say "Latinx" and hyperventilate about "Jim Crow on steroids" when voter turnout is through the roof. The same people who attack successful black conservatives as angry, ignorant traitors.

They were told it was totally unreasonable to want their children to go back to school during the pandemic by the same experts who said mass public gatherings were safe as long as they were supporting a righteous left-wing cause.

They were called "out of touch" by the same political gurus who touted Beto O'Rourke, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg as the next generation of transformative leaders.

And they wonder why no one takes them seriously anymore.

To hell with these people.

#2  Oddly, the problem is that they lack diversity -- of background, that is. What they need instead of another Harvard PhD (Push here, Dummy) is a truckstop waitress from down around Lubbock who would raise her hand and say: "Excuse me. I'm a little slow. Can you explain to me in real simple words how this thing is supposed to work?" Groupthink is a bitch, and it's a double-bitch if everyone doing the groupthinking believes they're a genius.
