How sad for the women in the contest. We should call this era in Western Culture the * times as every trans victory will end up with an Asterix in the history books to denote the actual woman winner got the silver.

...My wife has several trans friends - all of them are pretty decent people, but they tend to be a bit...how shall I put this...brittle.
And I've pointed something out to her that gives her pause: this sort of thing is a First World problem, an issue they can afford to have because for the most part everybody else still has a roof over their heads and full bellies. If any of that goes away...no one is going to tolerate someone screaming about their pronouns and which bathroom they prefer to use.

For many years liberals protested these contests and Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Over time they became stale lost their relevance to most Americans. The Libs didn’t really win, we just no longer cared so the argument was moot.
Now beauty contests are relevant again but only to the same liberals that previously called them exploitative. Strip shows are also now championed by libs but only if it is stripping by men dressed as women performing for children. As long as this dude is not giving a kid a lap dance, Ms Universe can promote their activist agenda right down the same drain where the WNBA and NWSL disappeared. I do like some women’s sport. I like them without dudes and liberal activism. I get the feeling that the Libs will only be happy when I am watching content approved by them with my eyes pried open like Malcom McDonald.

As long as they are lobbying for gummint to be used as a cudgel to beat me into worshipping them and their "lifestyle choices," I have an automatic problem with them that I would otherwise not have at all.
That's on them.

I'm with Darth on this. If they didn't insist on the normals validating their lives, we wouldn't know of their existence.
Why is 'parading' a felony at the US Capitol, but required at a trans event?
I personally think this is a by product of reducing mental illness treatment nationwide.

[Gateway] Ohio Republican Senator J.D. Vance spoke at the Turning Point USA conference over the weekend and slammed the media for using the war in Ukraine to ditract the American people from the failure of our leaders in Washington.
He pointed out that the average life expectancy of a middle class American is now lower than that of a similar person in western Europe. He also talked about the jobs that have been sent to China and other places.
He is certainly right about the media. Turn on the news on any given night and you will hear all about the war in Ukraine.

Everything is shiny about Ukraine except the Biden, Romney and Kerry family corruption there. That’s opaque. Also the labs. We have nothing on them since Rubio finished reading his script.

Should Trump make a return to the Oval Office (I know) the Ukraine lovers such as the Nulands, Kagans and Vindmans should all be permanently posted to the place they love so much.
And stripped of their US citizenships too.

I'm sure the war in Ukraine is a very bright, shiny object for the defense contractors who are making billions of dollars from it. They don't care who wins or loses or how many young men die. Just don't get between them and their profits.

[Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C. — With the rumor mill still churning despite the Secret Service closing its investigation, President Joe Biden blamed the presence of cocaine in the West Wing of the White House on a black man who used to live there.
"One of those suspicious colored fellas used to live here," Biden said to reporters assembled on the White House lawn as he came outside for his morning recess time. "Black folks are always dealing drugs, which is why I pushed so hard to incarcerate them decades ago. Nobody listened. Now, one of them lived here for years. He was a bad dude. Borfarginbinder."
Ever since a white powder that later tested positive for cocaine was discovered in the White House, speculation has run rampant that it may have belonged to President Biden's son, Hunter. "People are trying to say it belonged to my son, but that's an awful thing to say because my son passed away years ago," Biden said. "It's time for us to move on, just like the black fella who lived here before. He doesn't live here anymore, he just calls me up every day and tells me what I need to do. Mint chocolate chip."
As Biden was being led away, he was heard muttering about the White House's former tenants. "Whatever happened to that guy?" he asked. "And what about his wife — the tall, burly fella?"
At publishing time, administration officials also confirmed that drugs found in Hunter Biden's car and home also belonged to a previous black resident of the White House.

If it's old and stale cocaine it could have been left there three or four years ago. Just because it's the Bee doesn't mean it couldn't have happened.

Congress should put Hunter's kids in foster care because Hunter is a hopeless crack head and Joe is a pedo.
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
