#4 Shortest warship voyage in history might be Sweden's Vasa; launched in 1628, sailed about 1200 meters, then capsized and sunk in the harbor. Now salvaged and in its own museum in Stockholm. About 98% original. Awesome vessel.

#6 Large warship design was still in its infancy back in the time of the Vasa and a lot was 'learned' by mistakes. Unlike the US Navy's littoral ships which were designed after centuries of learning ship design and they still don't learn from their mistakes.
