Why the Loss of Donors for Kyrsten Sinema is So Ironic
[Townhall] On Wednesday night, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) stuck to her principles. Along with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and all 50 Republicans, she voted against changing Senate rules on the filibuster. She had previously spoken on the Senate floor in favor of keeping the filibuster. It's also a position she's been known to hold. It's nothing new from her, and yet there have still been new updates and reactions to Sinema supporting the filibuster. Namely, groups such as NARAL and EMILY's List have announced they are pulling support for the senator.

NARAL has tweeted about the right to vote, including a pinned tweet from Tuesday.

#1 Pelosi makes a couple of phone calls, your donors are suddenly history.

#2 Once again, the GOPe allowed the left to frame the narrative. This is not about voting, it's about making voting pointless. And like good little uniparty shills, the GOPe did nothing to dispel that misrepresentation.

#3 Notice with the Senator from AZ and WV, the term 'bi-partisan' suddenly disappeared?

#4 They did exactly what the senate was designed to do: prevent big states from steamrolling small states. But now, that's not "democracy." Well, no, it isn't. It's a well-designed representative republic working as it should.

It's the GOPe that has let the left frame the definition of "bipartisanship" to mean "give the left whatever it wants, always."

#5 I listened to the Senator's speech in which she flatly declared she would vote against ending the filibuster. I applaud that and I know it took great courage. But in the same speech she said she supported the proposed legislation to enact the federal takeover of elections that could not pass with the filibuster. So I have mixed feelings about this. I guess I still think it would be better if Arizona sent a solid Republican to the Senate.

#6 She definitely surprised me with this stance. It still can't be ruled out that there's mischief afoot. She's really no different than Tulsi Gabbard, being touted as the "sane democrat." She still wants to abolish the second Amendment, so there's essentially nothing she can bring to balance that out, AFAIAK. Same with Noem, riding the fence when she isn't riding her horse. Or Haley, who will assume any position within the organization to remain on board.
