FBI agent Richard Trask, 39, has been a key figure in the case of Whitmer plotters

In October 14 people were arrested and charged with planning to kidnap her

The case is among most important against domestic extremists in a generation

On Sunday Trask was arrested and charged with attacking his wife at home

He is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, less than murder

Trask was released on a $10,000 bond and faces up to 10 years in prison

#8 I wonder how many of these confidential informants would be off trying to kidnap Whitmer on their own if the FBI had not recruited them to fake a kidnapping. A believable CI is going to need history and connections, right?
