" before the attack in April 2019 in Bourdon, some 100 miles north of Gay Paree. The man stabbed one of his neighbors, a 58-year-old man who is not Jewish. The victim survived the incident with moderate injuries.
The perpetrator was deemed to be not criminally responsible for his actions due to psychiatric problems, and was ordered to remain at a psychiatric hospital, French publication Contact FM reported Tuesday.
In recent years, several perpetrators of allegedly antisemitic attacks have successfully used insanity defenses that allowed them to avoid standing trial for their violence. Many French Jews and organizations have protested these cases, which they say reflects a reluctance by the judiciary to confront antisemitism.
Last year, a French appeals court made a similar judgment regarding a man who killed a Jewish woman in her home while shouting Koranic verses and calling her a "demon" because he had a "delirious episode" brought on by his consumption of marijuana. The judge in the case also determined that the man, Kobili Troare, was antisemitic.
Turkish-Led Gang Made Millions in European Fake Police Scam
[Beitbart] An organised gang led by a Turkish national are said to have made millions of euros by disguising themselves as police officers and robbing the elderly in Vienna.
The gang, which has been in operation since 2018, is said to have been led by a 25-year-old Turkish man who is currently wanted on a European-wide arrest warrant.
He and the gang are alleged to have scoured phone books for residents in Vienna who sound elderly, and then post as police officers to gain trust and access.
The fake police officer then tells the victims their valuables are at risk and that the officer will visit them and “store” their jewellery and other items, Kronen Zeitung reports.
Vienna Terror Attack Memorial Trashed By ‘Turkish Woman’
[Breitbart] A memorial to last month’s radical Islamic terrorist attack in the Austrian capital of Vienna was vandalised by a 56-year-old Turkish woman over the weekend.
The memorial, which is located in the first district of Vienna where the terror attack took place, was vandalised by the woman who kicked candles and flowers that had been left by those mourning the four people killed by Islamic State sympathiser Kujtim Fejzullai on November 2nd.
On Monday morning, the 56-year-old was stopped at Vienna’s airport and when speaking to police, admitted that she had been the one who had vandalised the memorial. Police say that the woman is from Turkey and allegedly suffers mental difficulties, Kronen Zeitung reports.
As the Austrian government dismantles Islamist groups and radical mosques, some member so f the government have received threats in response. Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said that radicals had even threatened his family who were subsequently placed under the care of the elite Cobra police unit.
