#1 Does that qualify as a close shave? Does the fact that the blade had teeth make it an acci"Dental" occurence?

#5 A patient of mine long long ago narrowly escaped being sliced vertically by a huge rapidly spinning "buzz saw" that came off its axle at a local lumber processing operation. He just happened to see the thing wheeling towards him, he ducked to one side & had the blade slice right through one of his deltoid muscles. He got some very good first aid & was then dropped off at my ER. He was the only Amish man I ever met that I could call "excited". After I found out what happened, I sent him for a "scout" xray. Sure enough the xray showed the kerf the saw made in the upper end of his humerus, leaving only the slightest strip of bone bridging the two pieces. Without that bridge the only thing holding his arm on was nerves, arteries, veins, easily torn stuff like that. I called the orthopedic surgeon, who met the patient shortly afterward in the OR. That first aid bandage wasn't touched until absolutely everything else was ready in the OR. Patient did OK except he couldn't use the deltoid muscle any more.

#6 ^ I saw a guy fall onto rebar (pre-safety caps). They cut it off and left it in him to transport to ER. He lived, less one kidney
