#1 Ahh, the Egg Beater. Watching the twin rotors spool up was hypnotic.
Saw on the roll out they passed a P-38 on the flight line.
Noticed that when he came in to land, he did a side slip, just like he had a tail rotor.

#3 Wonder what sort of stash of airworthy spares they have? When those blades go hi-time it turns into yard art. A really nice job keeping it flying.

#5 No deviation with the rotor timing light. Four degrees before TDC (top dead center) means 4 degrees TDC. No deviations, no exceptions.

#6 Every time I have looked at that helicopter I wonder if the designer was insane, then I marvel at the people that built it and the mechanics that keep it flying safely (or at least as a helicopter normally is).

#7 Looking at those blades about had me rubbing my eyes. Pretty cool. Kinda has that Citroën "ugly duckling" look to it.
