#4 There is actually good science behind this. Works to diagnose some diseases too. Problem is that the FDA rules make it impossible to do anything medical on a smartphone.

#6 If it measured Ketones and a few other things it might be useful.

I wonder could you sell something as non-medical, i.e. it just gave you the figures for CO2 ketones etc and you just worked it out yourself.

If this sort of development is being delayed by regulatory backside covering imagine how many people are killed waiting for an effective drug?!

#7 It would only pick up ketones in your breath if you were already on your way to keto acidosis.(bad)
