#2 Actually, it is common for people to resort to making false accusations if they can't find real dirt on a person they want to demonize.

Especially if there is low risk or repercussions to themselves for doing so anymore from society.

#10 You have a point, Rob. The tone of American Politics has sadly declined since Congress outlawed duelling. OTH I once read about a challenge to a duel, someplace in the US, prior to the ban. A very feisty, very short legislator took offense at something a 6'7" member said and challenged him. After trying to ignore the banty rooster's incessant importuning, the big guy finally agreed. Having the choice of weapons, he specified 16 lb sledgehammers in 6 feet of water. Oddly, the duel never came off.

#12 It's beyond libel as this is criminal accusation. Investigate the charges and if it turns out she is lying she should serve prison time. If he turns out guilty he should serve prison time.

I think before long the number of false accusations will make the "Believe the Women" mantra into a joke.
