#1 Sad it can't be kept, but 8 old reactors would make it crazy expensive to make safe. Sadly the same cannot be said of her namesake, CV-6, victor of Midway and damn near every other tussle of note in the Pacific. New Yorkers couldn't quiet raise the cash to buy her and Navy sold her Down the river for razor blades.

#5 In a childhood dream I "saw" a derelict, dirty-looking Enterprise CVN carrying crated cargoes + being used as giant supply ship - I'D RATHER SEE HER SCRAPPED INTO RAZORBLADES, ETC. THAN SEE THAT DREAM COME TRUE.
"ENTERPRISE" is the name of famed "fighting ships/warships" in both the US + Royal Navies, + "fighting ship/warship" its future namesake should remain.
