#1 Clinton will show how the world will be safer through a new US-Russia nuclear arms reduction treaty

Didn't Russians announced that they are now prepared to use nukes in tactical situations against conventional forces (hard to blame them---having China for a neighbor, etc...)?

#2 yes, but this is just about outlining a "vision". A dream. A wish. For this administration, reality and vision need not intersect.

#3 On the contrary, the evidence strongly suggests this administration is working hard to end our nuclear capability and is prepared to do so as unilaterally as they can without triggering a public outcry.

#6 Barry's "quest".... etc. Something akin to my "quest" to begin collecting a fleet of Bentley MK VI's and Russian brides drivers. This is Administration and State Department drivel and much to do about nothing. Clearly the stuff politicians discuss when headlines are slow and a Christmas shopping trip overseas is much needed. If there were no nukes, they'd be discussing the proliferation of Maxim machineguns.

#7 The US has been pretty safe since the end of WWII, but not since 9/11.

#8 This is Administration and State Department drivel and much to do about nothing.

Besoeker, if you had contacts in the agencies involved, you'd realize that a lot more than nothing is underway right now, under the radar.
