#2 I'll give him this much: my dog Cookie is at least as deserving of public subsidies as Chrysler. Probably more so. (Cookie is more durable than the average Chrysler these days.)

#8 In Canada, I have to wait up to six months for an MRI. My dog, tomorrow. Same machine, same hospital.

The government RATIONS the number of patients it will cover. Paying the hospital directly is illegal.

The hospital meanwhile, has to cover its budget. Dogs and cats help.
