#2 American workers stay longer in the office, at the factory or on the farm than their counterparts in Europe and most other rich nations, and they produce more per person over the year.

Does this mean I can continue to read Rantburg at work?

#3 Hey, France is 5th! not bad, considering about 24% of the work force is made of civil servants, who are not the most, er, industrious and productive workers around (IIRC, a rapport found a couple of years ago? that the actual work week was in the vicinity of 24-27 hours, assuming all the time spent at work is used to work, of course...).

Still, beaten by Belgium!

We have to work longer to pay the taxes for the overcrowded schools, county emergency rooms, defaulted medical bills, etc, etc, etc. while they wire more money home to the family back home.
