#1 When Mr. Blair goes, he goes with my profound thanks. I never thought I'd be able to say that to a member of the Labor party. He stepped up when almost nobody else did. Thank you sir.

#2 Blair deserves America's deepest thanks for sharing a vision of this world free of terrorism. If he should choose to relocate, he should have his choice of jobs in domestic American-British relations.

#4 Question for our British correspondents: the last time this was noised about -- a few months ago -- there was nobody strong enough to carry Labour in elections, nor anybody on the Tory side either. Has anything changed, or is this just posturing for the home folks?

#8 Blair is NO Mrs Thatcher.

Its pains me deeply to see you writing tributes to that shite Tony Blair.

#9 Of course he's no Mrs. Thatcher. But the courage it took to go against long-standing Labour party doctrine and side with a Republican American administration, when all the rest of the euros were dancing their typical socialist dance, is laudable. While I disagree with nearly every plank in the Labour party's platform, let's give credit where credit is due.

#10 BP,

I'm with you. He has been a good friend on the WOT, but if his like was occupying the White House, most of us in this forum would be popping Tums every 15 minutes, so sick to our stomachs we would be.

Don't forget this is the Tony Blair who fought to lower the age of sexual consent as a sop to his homosexual supporters. The Tony Blair who has consistently been pro-EU. The Tony Blair who forced GWB to take the UN route, wasting precious months.

Yes, we must take our allies where we find them, but Mr. Blair, I knew Margaret Thatcher, and you, sir, are no Margaret Thatcher.

#12 Mr. Blair, I knew Margaret Thatcher, and you, sir, are no Margaret Thatcher.

He's a helluva a lot better looking, for one thing.

#14 Tony Blair has been a staunch ally in the war against islamofascism, and we who are free men need to recognize that, wherever we live. He may have done many other things that we might despise, but we have to acknowledge and recognize the help he and Britain have given us in this war. It's a shame that the help he's given us is the main reason he's being sacked by his own party. Some people never grow up, and the British Labor party is filled with them.
