#1 Hmmm....just a guess, but a lot of women [not to be confused with NOW] were clutching their children tightly the evening of 11 September 2001. With the images imprinted on their memory, the survival of their offsprings and their way of life became a very central issue, an issue the 'establishment' still wants the women along with the rest of us to forget if not ignor.

#3 Mrs. Doc is disinterested in the extreme regarding the upcoming election and all the campaign nonsense. Now, having said that, I asked her the other day how she will choose which candidate to vote for in November. She told me she has decided she could leave our grade school kids with George and Laura for the afternoon and not have to worry about them. She added she would not trust John and Therrrrraaasa to watch the dog.

Safety is a huge issue with Mothers.

What does the Federal government have to do with these issues? There are already state and local laws against assault and battery, and health insurance is available to people who are prudent enough to buy it. She's obviously trying to get the Federal government to pass additional punitive laws that are already covered by state and local jurisdiction, and get the government to socialize health insurance. Sounds like these Manhattan liberals want to use the Federal government to bypass local legislatures the way they have for decades. Everything's a national question to these socialists.

Kerry Campaign Actively Seeking Women's Vote

(CNSNews.com) - The Kerry-Edwards campaign announced it is launching a "Women for Kerry-Edwards" campaign on Thursday. According to the campaign's website, "Thousands of women will be participating in rallies, voter registration drives, meet-ups and round table discussions will be taking place in all 50 states. As part of that effort, Elizabeth Edwards, wife of vice presidential candidate John Edwards, plans hold a "just ask a woman" meeting at a Boynton Beach retirement community, after which she'll host a roundtable in Orlando with women who are small business owners.
